Yes, I have no doubt, in fact I'm certain, there have been fabrications, mistruths, mis-directions, hoaxes and false flags perpetuated throughout the ages, probably including pretty damn recently, all with the intention of creating the atmosphere for war and conflict.....but this isn't one of them - not everything is a conspiracy.

I think you've done some sterling work in this thread considering the number of people who seem to delight in calling 'fake' or 'false flag' the minute any of these all too common atrocities occur.

Would just like to point out one thing;

Its also illegal in some countries for anyone to provide links, view or watch these kinds of videos. I know here in the UK, Scotland Yard has said its illegal under the Terrorism Act 2006

He asked the Met which specific law made watching the video a crime, suggesting that no such criminal law exists in Britain.

Green posted on Twitter: "Some may say viewing video should be an offence; but it isn't, and @metpoliceuk should not publish false alarmist statements about the law".

He added that he had not seen the video in question "and would prefer if no one saw it" but that it is "not an offence to have viewed it".

This is what happens when law enforcers believe they are legal experts.

The police should stick to enforcing the law and not interpreting the law - they are separate and require different skill sets.

I have just watched the video posted on the Reuters site. It is a very peculiar video that's for sure but could someone explain to me 2 things? the size of the knife was tiny which would mean hacking away for ages at the poor man's throat/neck whilst he no doubt screamed struggled etc....and unless that video was edited on Reuters, it showed a different man at the end of the video?

By all means dont ask questions like that, because it ruins the BIG picture of the fear machine called propaganda at work.

At current moment we are ignoring the real threat, attempting not to see it, and running from it into the realm of fantasy - which makes the world a better place in our minds.

Call me an old fashioned old bird but could it not be remotely possible that this was either staged or allowed to go ahead by TPTB in order to provoke? Thereby, sway public opinion in favour of all out war or intervention by military means?

After all most wars fought have been about creating a market for weapons and flooding the coffers of the military with religion as a cover. They need wars simple!

Thanks for the support. I have just rechecked the UK Terrorism Act 2006 and there is a section that does include this very thing;

Dissemination of terrorist publications

(1)A person commits an offence if he engages in conduct falling within subsection (2) and, at the time he does so—
(a)he intends an effect of his conduct to be a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism;
(b)he intends an effect of his conduct to be the provision of assistance in the commission or preparation of such acts; or
(c)he is reckless as to whether his conduct has an effect mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b).
(2)For the purposes of this section a person engages in conduct falling within this subsection if he—
(a)distributes or circulates a terrorist publication;
(b)gives, sells or lends such a publication;
(c)offers such a publication for sale or loan;
(d)provides a service to others that enables them to obtain, read, listen to or look at such a publication, or to acquire it by means of a gift, sale or loan;
(e)transmits the contents of such a publication electronically; or
(f)has such a publication in his possession with a view to its becoming the subject of conduct falling within any of paragraphs (a) to (e).

I'd say that pretty much covers this video being linked to. whilst watching the video is not a crinimal offfence, sending a link to the video on sites such as this could be, as covered by this section of the act;

All your questions have been answered several times on this thread and others.

* The knife is one used for butchering animals in a Halal manner
* It did take some 7 minutes for the decapitation to be complete
* No the Video was not edited on Reuters, the actual original video fades out when the barbaric act begins, several reasons for this which have been addressed by other members on this and other threads.

Pretty sure they could do worse. Threats of crucifixion, in the desert, left to be eaten by buzzards after your stomach is opened and the contents exposed....yeah, sounds a LOT worse to me.

I dont wish to discuss it anymore, its been dissected over the past decades among the people I know. And they are all fed up how the sheepish population keeps being distracted. If only the book Propaganda was mandatory in elementary school..

Also coming back to update my own thoughts on this particular video.

Initially, I said that I thought something was up with the video. That it seemed "fishy"...yata yata. (read my previous posts if you care to)

Anyways, I no longer believe this to be the case....however, I do believe that the "sawing" that is seen in the video, is but one "take" in a few that were made. I believe that they "rehearsed" this....and had Foley read those lines more than once. I believe the intent was to "get it right" and they fully intended to cut to the "done deed" at the end. This would explain Foley's "calmness", yet "tension" at the same time. He appears to know it's coming, but not when it is coming. Like he is asking himself, "is this the take they are going to actually do the deed in"......

That, to me, seems very likely.
The idea that the video is "fake".....well, I never said that, but since I implied that I had questions, some others suppose that I was saying that, I guess. The authenticity is not in question, in my mind. It was other things about the video that even had me questioning it to begin with.

After playing "devil's advocate" with a friend from fb that thought it to be "faked".....I wrote a HUGE analysis, though, I used some language not acceptable at ATS and won't post it here. The conclusion above about the "takes" came from that "devil's advocate" session.

So you dont see anything strange in how the video is being censored everywhere. Even Liveleak bans ISIS videos now. And its illegal to dessiminate it? Pretty transparent to me. Then again I am jaded by the past 30 years and have learned my lesson not to believe any video. I used to be a UFO believer and videos (read hoaxes) was once enough for me to believe, rofl. Same thing goes on now in this so called War on Terror (read War on Privacy and Free speech)
