your link doesnt work but id love to figure out how you determine aluminum strips dont belong to the wreckage. Your source must not realize chaff is just aluminum and in a wreckage there would be huge amounts of aluminum. Id i hope the separatists didnt release this video because it just shows how incapable they are at investigating a crash site. Chaff and a plane crash site wow.

Wow, that's not chaff. Not even close. Chaff is tiny little pieces of metal in bundles. If it was that long, you would be able to get one burst of chaff, to decoy one missile. These are chaff bundles used by the US Navy. That looks like toilet paper from the latrines.

The Ukie air defense systems have not trained with live firing for decades. Unlike the Russian who use contracted professionals on all crucial levels, the Ukies are known to be using conscripts simply due to a lack of funds. To illustrate the bloodly mess the Ukie air defenses are, it is enough to recall here how gross incompetence, mismanagement and outdated equipment resulted in the downing of the Siberian Airlines civilian aircraft in 2001.

Since then, things in the Ukie air defenses have only gotten much worse. Still, the Ukies did have an ATC which at the very least should have reported that a civilian airline had a flight plan which would follow the points XYZ. I just cannot imagine a Ukie officer giving the order to shoot at an aircraft without checking for the available flight plans. Also, as far as I know, nobody ever reported that the transponder on the aircraft did not work and, if so, then that means that the Ukie air defense crew should have been receiving a clear signal identifying the aircraft.

No Ukraine wouldnt have realize this aircraft already flew by Kiev im sure they were aware it was in there airspace. However like the intercepted conversation said Chechens on the other hand didnt know and i guess thought anything was fair game. But they arent known for there concern of civilians they have a reputation.

Ok I've gone over this thread and I think the possibilities are

1. Russia was tricked into shooting down the airliner
2. Ukraine forces shot down the airliner with intentions of blaming Russia, possibly in collaboration with the US
3. Russia accidentally shot the plane
4.ukraine accidentally shot the plane

I still don't see any motive for Russia to shoot this thing down. Ukraine is the only one who could benefit in this situation.

Also we still need to verify why the plane deviated North.

They didn't deviate North if you watch the replay on FR24. They planned from the start to fly that path, and were actually south of their planned flight plan. There are many reasons to fly a different path than other days though. Weather is the biggest one, be they winds or storms.

What airline, other than maybe Quantas, hasn't lost 2 or more planes.

Ok I didn't know they had planned that way. I read earlier on the thread it deviated because of weather but I don't think anyone actually verified with weather reports.
