What Bundy did or didn't say, and whether he was quoted in context is not the issue.

He is a commercial rancher who has been grazing his cattle on public land for years and not paying his bill. THAT is the issue.

The rest of it is just noise that distracts from the only issue that needs to be dealt with.

They have failed to recognize or mention the medical properties, energy fuel properties, It's completely bio degradable safe, It makes great materials for clothing, twine/rope.

Think of having under garments, t-shirts, socks, medical gowns, medical gauze etc made of hemp that has natural bacterial fighting properties. Salves to fight infections. Think of the tax revenue generated and companies creating jobs and getting great products and benefits from it.

There are at least 3 anthropologically accepted races of man... Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid.

I have responded to many thread on ATS about race, I generally like to put forth the definition of racist or racism before i do make comments about it, because many people have formulated their basis for what is racist and what is not, especially when they unsuccessfully try to reverse it and pin it on someone from that group that comments are being directed at, you are confusing my comments with racist comments, I , sir do not believe that any race is superior to the other and I do not like to classify people and put them into boxes.

I was raised by my grandparents, a grandfather that served in WWII worked hard served on a ship as a cook in the U.S. Navy and often told of still being subjected to racial epithets and treatment, and afterwards did manual labor all of his life as a brick and stone mason when that craft was well respected and you could make a decent wage, a grandmother that cleaned houses of affluent whites for a living and we had very close and tight family structure many years before Bundy, I have my own opinions why you do not see blacks, whites and other minorities doing those job in great number and the basis is (wage reversal) any more and my own opinions on what he seems to describe as some new lesson that is being taught that some people never learned is not unique or exclusive to anyone, he is living in a sheltered world, to me his comments are monolithic and offensive, when he makes comments like this he reinforces false stereotypes on only focuses on the negative, and again i am a mixture of several ethnic groups including white, I try to remain as neutral as possible because I have many different views from my own personal experiences, I just do not agree with categorizing and putting people into boxes like this ignorant person Bundy has done, if it came from anyone it does not matter the color, ignorance is ignorance.

Cliven Bundy was refering to a time past. He was refering to practically the only jobs available to anyone in the valleys in and around Las Vegas decades ago. Everyone planted cotton. Las vegas, overton, pahrump, sandy valley, amargosa valley. They all had cotton fields here. Believe it or not, cotton used to come from cotton fields right here, not from chinese dept. stores. Bundy is old enough to know that cotton was practically the only cash crop grown in these parts.

What the # is a "time past"? Where do they grow cotton in Las Vegas? Seems kind of counter productive to grow cotton in a desert...Also, picking cotton was not the only job available. Today, 1/5 jobs is farming. Back then, it was 5/10. At it's most, it was half.
