Good golly, the co-ords given by the Chinese plane of the debris found is halfway to the south pole !!! That is about a 180degree change in direction from the original flight !!!

Google Maps location

Co-ords from this report

It'll be interesting to see how the Families react in Beijing...
They've had suspicions of foul play & deception for a while, it doesn't seem that they are likely to accept any old story!!!

Or...

Maybe the S&R has been ended & the families are being informed of a hostage situation, if this isn't as clear a conference as we expect!!!

Peace MH370 xxx

Here in the UK the tandem story running atm is about the co-pilot, the fact the flight was his first sans trainer / check co-pilot, which might be significant to the story.

Apparently Malaysia Airlines is telling the family members that due to what search teams have found, they have to assume beyond doubt that no-one on the plane survived. Very, very sad news but at least this will bring some sort of closure. My condolences to all those affected by this terrible tragedy.

Sky Sources: relatives of missing plane passengers to be booked on charter flights to take them to Australia #MH370

There can be only one reason for that.

Thanks for that update, DrHS.

However, as a relative, knowing what I have learned through ATS and other resources, I'd feel very mixed about taking any flight (government and otherwise) unless they have some preponderance of evidence at the end of that journey.

Peace be with those families, and lots of love and hugs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "mysteries" surrounding this flight -- well, despite much speculation abound on this thread, which is not to be ignored -- has been in the Hands of Quantico from the onset (and largely ignored from this and other threads). Even the MSM has admitted this throughout. So the USA has taken over investigative processes as demonstrated here:

FBI formally joins investigation - A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation by name, said the FBI has been provided electronic data to analyze. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday U.S. investigators are prepared to help any way they can.

While the FBI had sent representatives to Malaysia and offered to help with the investigation, the Americans had not been invited to participate in the Malaysian-led probe, CBS News' Bob Orr reports. "It's a Malaysian airline flight that was lost, but we are assisting, as are many other nations, in every way that we can," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Friday.

You have to look at everything" - Investigators must check out every possible explanation, ranging from terrorism to pilot suicide to cargo theft or smuggling, said Ken Maxwell, one of the principal investigators of the TWA 800 and Egypt Air 990 flight disasters. In an interview with CBS News, Maxwell said that the scope of the criminal investigation "will be extremely broad," and that investigators have to consider, "What's in the cargo? Who's on that plane? Who would have motive or intent to utilize that aircraft?"

www.cbsnews.com...

That means cell phone calls, cargo, manifest, etc.

Just for the record; take it as a grain of salt but the FBI/CIA have been on this since the initial stage IMO...

Who wants to wager that this thread becomes a part deux by April 15th if not sooner?

ETA: faux news is outright censoring new conference...who'd have thought? /sarcasm

AAIB and Inmarsat say it went down West of Perth in the Indian Ocean.

Sympathies to the families of the passengers and crew.

I hope they find the black box and shed some light on the flights moments and possible cause.

WOW.

Malaysian Govt just said they are going by new INMARSAT analysis that the plane went down in the southern Indian Ocean.... WITHOUT physical evidence of the plane!!!

WTF

Edit to Add: I smell a RAT. If the families were given that exact information, they aren't believing it.

Makes me sick.

Chances are they might have already had some other confirmation from the wreckage found, or absolute proof from AAIB / Inmarsat before releasing the details.

They stated Absolutely nothing in regards to physical wreckage.

With no disrespect to the families of those who were on board this flight, I find the latest announcement to be complete, unmitigated horse turds of the runniest kind.

"Using technology never used before . . ." without a shred of objective evidence, the only direction this flight could have gone was south????

What the hell?? I'm either daft, or clearly missing something here but some computer program and technology 'never used before' determined this based on . . . um . . . ummmmmmmmmmm . . . what the hell is that based on???

I'd still love to know where on earth they thought they were going - if it was the pilots. There's nowhere to land down there!

Some nonsense on Fox News about circular wreckage instead of other. = airplane wreckage = BOGUS

Eta: Now, as luck would have it, a typhoon will disturb finding new evidence and black box...again faux...again, bogus :/

At least now, this fox reporters says that while data concludes flight ended in Indian Ocean, until substantial wreckage is brought to the "surface," then all should be questioned.

Mike Boyd, an aviation security expert, now saying Malaysian Authority is highly dubious and "I would not trust this guy!"

The engine pings have never been used to track location before. Scientists have been analysing the data very hard to make these conclusions, first the northern and southern corridors, now they have ruled out the northern. We don't know how because we're not physicists/space engineers.

Perhaps they got more information from the pings than were admitting, like the altitude etc, it could have detailed the whole altitude and communications at the precise moment it hit the water etc, though it is expected that other systems should have shown this as they are designed to.

Another theory is that it was intercepted mid air (possibly heading for Perth) and military don't wan't that released, hence they KNOW how it happened and when and have been working out the 'official story'.

This has really turned into a MASSIVE cover-up of EPIC proportions.

We will never see any wreckage. My prediction is they call off the search within the next couple days.
