Forty-nine Ukrainian troops were killed when their military Il-76 transport jet was taken down by local militia forces just before landing at Lugansk Airport. Some military hardware and supplies were lost as well.
The death toll was confirmed by the Ukrainian General Prosecutor’s office on Saturday morning in a statement, which said nine crew members and 40 troops were killed.
The State Department announced on Friday that it has confirmed that Russia, which has repeatedly denied stoking unrest in Ukraine, sent tanks, rocket launchers and other weapons into the country.
The New York Times reports that "a Western official said that the intelligence about the movement of the tanks and other weapons into Ukraine was shared on Friday with NATO allies," after affirming that tanks seen on Ukrainian streets were, in fact, of Russian origin.
The State Department added on Friday that it expects the Kremlin to deny the claim, saying, "Russia will claim these tanks were taken from Ukrainian forces, but no Ukrainian tank units have been operating in that area,” but adding that it is confident the tanks, and other weapons, are from Russia:
"Around 17:30 June 13th the battle began one of the parts - Dnepropetrovsk - raised the flag of Russia, wished, apparently, to leave the airport," - said Alexey Axe Defense Ministry spokesman LC channel RT. "Between the two parts of a fierce battle ensued, after which part of the Dnepropetrovsk left the airport and went to the side of Anthracite, now presumed to be in the forest nearby, we are trying to establish contact with them, their loyalty. But the fact of the flag-raising Russia says a lot, "- he continued. Press secretary of the Ministry of Defense LC also told television channel RT, which previously took LC in Lugansk airport blockade with a view to achieve the withdrawal of the military airmobile forces of Ukraine, about 2000 people, armed to the teeth. Earlier, a journalist of "Komsomolskaya Pravda" Nikolai Varsegov in his microblog on Twitter also said about this fight between Dnepropetrovsk and Lvov paratroopers Luhansk airport, then, Dnipropetrovsk Marines raised the flag of Russia and left the airport towards the city Anthracite. "Reported from headquarters Army South. Morning at the airport Lugansk flared fight between Dnepropetrovsk and Lvov Marines "- wrote in his Varsegov Twitter. "Dnipro raised over fuel depot flag of Russia. That's why the fight began. Defeated seems dnepropetrovtsy "- he said. "Now they came out of the airport and with the Russian flag moving in the direction of the city Anthracite", - concluded the journalist. Оригинал статьи: russian.rt.com...

Agency officially registered as mass media in the Republic of Abkhazia, July 18, 2011 (registration number 55 according to the order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Abkhazia number 129 of 18.07.2011).
. As the Soviet Union began to disintegrate towards the end of the 1980s, ethnic tensions grew between the Abkhaz and Georgians over Georgia's moves towards independence. This led to the 1992–1993 War in Abkhazia that resulted in a Georgian military defeat, de facto independence of Abkhazia and the mass exodus and ethnic cleansing of the Georgian population from Abkhazia.
In August 2008, the sides again fought during the South Ossetia War, which was followed by the formal recognition of Abkhazia by Russia, the annulment of the 1994 ceasefire agreement and the termination of the UN and OSCE missions.[17][18] On 28 August 2008, the Parliament of Georgia passed a resolution declaring Abkhazia a Russian-occupied territory.[19][20] A major part of international community considers Abkhazia to be occupied by Russian military. Russia does not allow the EUMM monitors to enter Abkhazia.[21]
I'm at a stalemate when it comes to the Propaganda produced by the West and the East. But the past events of American, British and European Wars and interventions have shown Western Propaganda is not to be trusted.

I'm at a stalemate when it comes to the Propaganda produced by the West and the East. But the past events of American, British and European Wars and interventions have shown Western Propaganda is not to be trusted.
And as we have seen lately Russian media sources have no problem with pumping out the propaganda, but for the most part you have to find that balance between the two sides because more than likely that is what is really happening.
It is a shame the people of Russia only see what their gov't wants them to see, but I guess that is how you keep control of the people.
Anyone else want to deny that there's NOT an element of extreme nazi radicalism in Ukraine (Kiev)?
It is a shame the people of America only see what their gov't wants them to see, but I guess that is how you keep control of the people.
“The US condemns the attack on the embassy of the Russian Federation in Kiev and calls on the Ukrainian government to fulfill its obligations under the Vienna convention to ensure the necessary security measures,” US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
I see ONLY one flag hanging on the front of the Russian embassy gate - Right sector. Surrounded by swastikas. . . NOT a Ukrainian flag.
I see overturned cars with swastikas painted on them.
Funny how the western media steer clear of this fact - if they showed these, do you think Ukraine govt would have support? Do you think Americans would support Nazi radicalism?
Yeah, attack Russian media when you damn well know that U.S. & UK media doesn't show this side. . .
And you don't think that could have been put there by anyone, and you have no proof that it was done by Right sector only assumptions.
And what exactly makes you think Ukraine gov't supports Nazi radicalism?
"The explicitly neo-Nazi Right Sector on Monday blocked Ukraine’s Supreme Court and …
… led out the judges one by one shouting ‘Lustration.’ Some of the judges were shoved, punched and spat upon. The nationalists demanded early adoption of lustration legislation that would ban former allies of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych from getting government jobs."
"On Monday activists of the Right Sector group disrupted a convention of Ukrainian judges in Kiev. They blocked the Supreme Court building and led out the judges one by one shouting “Lustration”. Some of the judges were shoved, punched and spat upon. The nationalists demanded early adoption of lustration legislation that would ban former allies of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych from getting government jobs."
And you do understand that western media isn't going to consider someone putting swastikas on a fence in front of the Russian embassy breaking news
And the Russian media doesn't show their people anything that isn't approved by the Russian government so they have no idea of what Russia is really doing in Ukraine.

Looks like Russians are going have to continue what they do best. . . Go Nazi Hunting.
Russia will guarantee that the people who live in Crimea and Sevastopol will be given the right to keep their native language as well as the means and conditions for learning it.
However, in this case this vandalism is an anti-Nazi act.
