update on shot down plane in Lugansk-49 killed, 40 paratroopers and 9 crew members.

Forty-nine Ukrainian troops were killed when their military Il-76 transport jet was taken down by local militia forces just before landing at Lugansk Airport. Some military hardware and supplies were lost as well.

The death toll was confirmed by the Ukrainian General Prosecutor’s office on Saturday morning in a statement, which said nine crew members and 40 troops were killed.

Hard to understand that Kiev is using Lugansk airport for military use considering that NAF has been increasing the number of its forces in airport area with obvious intention to try to take it over. For a last few days they are warning Natzguard forces to surrender and leave the airport.

U.S. Confirms Russia Sent Tanks, Weapons to Ukrainian Separatists

The State Department announced on Friday that it has confirmed that Russia, which has repeatedly denied stoking unrest in Ukraine, sent tanks, rocket launchers and other weapons into the country.

The New York Times reports that "a Western official said that the intelligence about the movement of the tanks and other weapons into Ukraine was shared on Friday with NATO allies," after affirming that tanks seen on Ukrainian streets were, in fact, of Russian origin.

The State Department added on Friday that it expects the Kremlin to deny the claim, saying, "Russia will claim these tanks were taken from Ukrainian forces, but no Ukrainian tank units have been operating in that area,” but adding that it is confident the tanks, and other weapons, are from Russia:

No luck for Kiev today, looks like they have lost another plane, SU-24 this time.

Looking at the site and where it is registered this site is not only in Russian, but more than likely being run by the Russians.

Possibly. But it's nice to have another view of what is going on. Western news is not exactly reliable when they are trying to push a covert Agenda. Of course the same could be said of Russian controlled news.

I'm at a stalemate when it comes to the Propaganda produced by the West and the East. But the past events of American, British and European Wars and interventions have shown Western Propaganda is not to be trusted. I'm at a stalemate when it comes to the Propaganda produced by the West and the East. But the past events of American, British and European Wars and interventions have shown Western Propaganda is not to be trusted.

And as we have seen lately Russian media sources have no problem with pumping out the propaganda, but for the most part you have to find that balance between the two sides because more than likely that is what is really happening.

It is a shame the people of Russia only see what their gov't wants them to see, but I guess that is how you keep control of the people.

A.) They have the support of Ukrainian govt
B.) The Ukrainian govt fear them (and favors them 'under the gun')
C.) They HEAVILY influence the decisions of the new Ukrainian govt.
