Errr... Lol

These Ukrainians seriously need to learn how to drive a tank....

They did a great job looks like plowed right over the barricade as if it wasnt there. Funny part is they rebuild it after seeing how easy a tank rolls through it.

I cannot believe how some pro-Kremlin people are trying to depict the crowd in Mariupol today as "peaceful protesters". Yes, they were so "peaceful" the vast majority of them brought firearms and shot at Ukrainian soldiers who quite rightly fired back.

Look to the lower right hand corner of the photo at the green bottle.
They even brought Bottled Water with a convenient rag stuffed inside for cooling themselves off after a hard day of peaceful protesting.

Do they make Molotov cocktails in different flavors like apple or cherry?

Just an update: While some of the protesters are clearly not "peaceful" Firing into a crowd, from either side, leads to tragedy.

I still fail to see how some citizens taking up arms justifies REPEATEDLY razing buildings with people inside....What is it with these Ukrainians and burning buildings to the ground. O.o

Also, I just wanted to throw this out there - all of these articles about the skirmeshes in various cities repeatedly sound the same. "20 heavily armed terrorists ambushed a Ukrainian Army checkpoint today, as a result 15 terrorists were killed and 3 ukrainian servicemen were injured."

This leads me to believe the people taking up arms and being violent towards the army are in fact disgruntled citizens - or the worst spetznatz ever?? We always hear of how heavily armed the Russian terrorists are with their AKs and grenades yet the only casualities are only on the opposition side?

Just a simple observation. Yes I know and am aware some Ukrainian servicemen have died as well -

If the defenders, lets say the Ukrainian army, has a platoon leader worth anything he set up defensive positions with interlocking fields of fire and clear lines of responsibility. The attackers are mostly likely unorganized, under equipped and have little or no training. See above video for example of a lone attacker firing a single pistol at men armed with automatic weapons. Even if they have any heavy weapons I doubt they know how to use them as an effective force. That takes training together for a while to pull that off. That's why you see the numbers skewered so badly for the attacking force.

As far as the burning buildings go it seems to be a case of thinking it's easier to burn the thing down than take casualties storming the building.

When "disgruntled citizens" have top of the line Russian weapons that only the Russian military has access to, it tends to raise red flags.

Like this?

A few kilometers from Slavyansk, outside of Semenova, militia are putting up a new checkpoint made out of concrete blocks. They will guard it with the help of anti-tank weapons, Andrei Krasnoshchekiv, a Ridus correspondent reports...

It appears to be a 9P151 launcher, which could fire either a 9K115 Metis or 9K115-2 Metis-M missile, an advanced Russian anti-tank weapon…

...So it's possible that this is one of Slavyansk's Russian-backed separatists, using a highly advanced piece of Russian military weaponry. Where did he get it?

If Russia can't keep tabs on its state of the art equipment it makes me wonder how secure their nukes are.

Im more worried about Ukraine deciding they need nukes to protect themselves. The former Soviet republics of Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan—where the Soviets based many of their nuclear warheads—safely returned their Soviet nuclear weapons to Russia in the 1990s, but all three countries still have stockpiles of weapons-grade uranium and plutonium. If Russia pushes this to far doesnt take long at all to build a bomb if you already have plutonium what a couple of weeks.

See people dont understand Ukraine didnt return there uranium and plutonium in fact a sale was stopped a couple of years ago.

Things like missile launchers etc were probably stolen out of armories or are from units that may have defected to the pro Russian side. Unless Russian Special forces are supplying them to pro Russian factions.
That would be.......bad. Very bad.

I read this found it interesting people are crossing the border into Russia because they were promised work and housing. But it looks like they were lied to. But it is a solution if Russia cared they would grant citizenship and give asylum apparently thats not the case.
