You are wrong about the timeline.
There have been multiple letters.
You don’t know what anyone told Grassley.

You do know the person mentioned was escorted out.

But but but

Lol

Yes the have been multiple letters. The first one on 7/25 was written before the raid and asks about Thibault's attempted investigation in 2020. The next one came on 8/11 and, in regards to Thibault, only reiterates the questions asked in the 7/25 letter. The most recent was the 8/17 letter that is only requesting Wray to respond to the previous two letters and makes no mention of MAL and only mentions Thibault in an off-hand manner.

So where in the 8/11 letter, the only one released after the raid that has any substance, does Grassley say that his whistleblowers told him that Thibault was responsible for the investigation that led to the raid?

You're the one that said Grassley publically confirmed this being the case. It shouldn't be hard to provide a quote supporting this claim.

So why did the 2020 investigation fail to launch? Did the FBI see political bias as the motivation then? Is that why he lost his position here lately? Another documented case of TDS within the FBI, perhaps? In a supervisory role yet again?

The “get Trump” faction sure isn’t doing the rest of the organization any favors. Maybe the whole FBI needs to experience the Congressional Microscope in maybe January of 2023, perhaps?

Did he not put that agents name in the letter?
Is that not publicly?
What do you not understand about this?
Is the agent not “retired”?

Wow

Yes, Thibault's name is mentioned. But not in relation to the current investigation that led to the raid at MAL. So when Gateway Pundit wrote:

That investigation culminated in the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month.

They lied.

Not being a higher up at the FBI, I couldn't tell you why the 2020 investigation was shot down. I'm sure it being an election year and Trump being one of the candidates, not to mention the sitting President, had a lot to do with it.

Minus the drama:

Timothy Thibault, a top-level FBI agent who had been under fire for his role in investigations regarding President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, resigned late last week and was walked out of the FBI, two U.S. officials confirmed. But these officials also said that Thibault had reached retirement age, and they added that all of those who retire hand over their badge and gun and are escorted out of the building.

Accused by Republican -- Remains to be seen:

Thibault came under fire earlier this year from Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley who had accused him of “improper conduct” in the Hunter Biden investigation, alleging that Thibault had tried to close the probe.

People, Timothy Thibault was not part of the MarLaGo raid, at all.

Now, was he part of the same Anti Trump faction that operates in secret? Yes. As evident of his dismissal.

For those that cite, "retired", read between the lines in your usual research, he was forced out. Just a nice way of saying, "better than being fired".

All this OP and thread proves is, Yes, Political bias does exist in our sacred institutions and you can see why he was dismissed. He got caught and the FBI wasn't going to save him, if anything, a perfect scapegoat. Look, Wray did something, derp.

Lets focus people. We got a WIN and it's enough to justify the accusations of a politically corrupt federal institution.

Because we know that the current investigation was opened when Ferriero reached out to the DOJ following the retrieval of the Fifteen Boxes.

Literally only Gateway Pundit is trying to claim that the investigation Thibault tried to launch in 2020 is the same one that led to the raid. Even the outlet Gateway sources when making that claim says:

Whistleblowers alleged that Thibault concealed the partisan nature of evidence from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland to secure their approval to open an investigation into former President Donald Trump in 2020 unrelated to the raid, according to information made public by Sen. Charles Grassley.

There is absolutely no evidence that Thibault was involved in the current investigation. For Gateway to claim otherwise is bad journalism at best, but considering their history, it's more likely intentional propaganda.

I could see it going either way. It's definitely possible he was forced into retirement.

At the same time, we also know he was being reassigned. He may have figured he'd rather retire than be shipped off to Cleveland or wherever they were planning on sticking him.

Your first 2 sentences are at odds.
His political bias is unacceptable.
Those damaged by his actions should seek remedy.

The investigation began as a result of a referral
the United States National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) sent to the United
States Department of Justice (DOJ) on Febmary 9, 2022, hereinafter, "NARA Referral." The
NARA Referral stated that on January 18, 2022, in accordance with the Presidential Records Act
(PRA), NARA received from the office of former President DONALD J. TRUMP, hereinafter
"FPOTUS," via representatives, fifteen (15) boxes of records, hereinafter, the "FIFTEEN
BOXES." The FIFTEEN BOXES, which had been transpotted from the FPOTUS property at
1100 S Ocean Blvd, Palm Beach, FL 33480, hereinafter, the "PREMISES," a residence and club
known as "Mar-a-Lago," fmther described in Attachment A, were reported by NARA to contain,
among other things, highly classified documents intermingled with other records.

That's from the affidavit. The investigation was launched when NARA reported Trump to the DOJ.

You have provided absolutely zero evidence showing that the investigation was launched by Thibault.

The media has reported such.
Ignore it at your peril.

Dude will be the scapegoat.

Word on the street is whistleblowers (plural) alleged that Thibault concealed the partisan nature of evidence from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland to secure their approval to open an investigation into former President Donald Trump. That investigation culminated in the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month.

But hey, you believed the pee dossier too.

As I said, only Gateway is reporting that. The same outlet they source for making that claim says that Thibault's attempted investigation is not related to the ongoing investigation.

So, if GP's own source is saying that the investigations are unrelated, why do you believe GP when they say they are related? Confirmation bias maybe?
