Like they say...

Always trust the sources inside the same agencies being purged and repaired by the same agencies on the inside.

Can't go wrong 😀

In this case the FBI (under scrutiny), and the MSM are doing the driving with the "Thibault" story, and we really have no idea who he is, was, or will be or IF he really did "retire" or IF he is even out of the FBI. For all anybody knows, it's just another red herring ruse designed to keep people in a comfort zone 😀

AKA Controlled Opposition 😀

Gateway Pundit is great fodder, which is why important topics
like this use it for a source. It works great for posters like you
who regularly come on and ignore the topic, derail with but Trump,
and attack the source.

Sure, that is one way to look at it but another is that TGP is simply not an unbiased source that is prone to using hyperbole or cherry picking data to appease their target audience.

Okay, granted that is 98.8% of the all media sources out there regardless of if they are Left or Right but in this case TGP was used and left key elements out of their initial article.

In reading your source did he quit or resign or is the other sources that report he retired?

Yes and as covered and linked is normal procedure for someone who retires.

Sure TGP and others chose to leave out critical info like that so the tone of the article matched thr audience they want to target.

That's FBI special agent Doofy Thibault.
I hope they made sure he didn't take any classified material with him.

He does. His FBI credentials stamped retired. They are not allowed to be photographed nor perfectly counterfeited.

The closest copy to date was probably Mulder and Scully’s on the X-Files which clearly said Federal Investigation Bureau.

Trump wants an update:

The fired agent was in charge of the Mar-a-Lago Raid, and the Election investigation. How’s he doing?

Sounds like Trump is getting bad info or intentionally trying to cause unrest. First off, Thibault had been reassigned on August 4th, which would have been a day before the search warrant request was even submitted. But on to of that Thibault wasn't even part of the division handling the raid.

Counterintelligence was handling the raid. Thibault was part of the Criminal/Cyber division.

Trump should get an update on this topic so he can speak about it in an informed manner.

The fired agent

Thibault was not fired, he retired.

FBI Agent Tim Thibault has issued a statement through attorneys following his recent departure from the bureau in which he says he has taken planned, eligible retirement

justthenews.com...

"was in charge of the Mar-a-Lago Raid"

Based on what source because just about everything I have looked at so far conveys the following or a similar message.

Thibault, was until Friday the FBI Washington Field Office assistant special agent in charge.

The statement released through the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, which is representing Thibault pro bono, says Thibault played no part the bureau's Aug. 8 raid of former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

On this specific topic it seems that Trump is either willfully trying to fragment folks with purposeful rhetoric or he has been given poor information or he jumped to conclusions before having the facts.

Since when do "retired" people get escorted off the property. Isn't there usually a going away party, you know some pizza and hot dogs at the very least?

I've never seen or heard of this anywhere EVER. Fired or quit, yes. But retired, LOL, as Brandon would say "come on man".

It's a secure government facility and he no longer has clearance. Do you think they're just going to let him wander around before leaving?

I've had DOE clearances, I work in the nuclear industry. I was never escorted out on my last day at a facility. Try again.

Did you work for the DOE or a contractor? Was your office a secure government facility? If not, then your anecdote doesn't mean anything.

My dad worked for the DOD and when he retired he was escorted out on his last day.
