Well. I'll be truthful. Red Dwarf never tripped my trigger like Dr. Who did. They did have some good episodes though, but I think that many of the
writing staff had to many conflicts. Just like here in the States. I've seen to many good shows get put on the chopping blocks, just because the
writing staff didn't get along and just write a storyline.
Maybe we here in the Shed should come up with our own story and sell it to Hollywood (though I think the the BBC would pick up on it quicker). Oh,
wait! We pretty much already have.
But how cool would it be if the BBC picked up the tab and said, "You have two weeks to hash out a series, and we're puttin' you up at Gordi's Island
to hash things out." The debates would be epic, and good times would be had by all and I guarantee that the BBC would have a hit on their hands which
would in turn be picked up by NBC, CBS, ABC or FOX and turned into a Americanized version. (Which are usually less successful) Gonna have to work on
that.
