And that's good for some and bad for others.

Well, the cow god is not looking out for them particularly well.

Ours is doing a better job but not so ideal either. Or maybe he's doing really well but we're so self-destructive it's a full time job just keeping us around long enough that we might learn better.

I've recently been begging my 17 year old not to be in such a hurry to ruin her life and to give the more insane ideas some space, so she'll actually get to HAVE a life. (Well, and then I will too...) Maybe as a species we are just a pain in the ass. Seriously.

I have a thought: if this control system and eons-long psychic-jihad-of-interference had NOT been present in humanity, how do you think we might have fared differently?

True, we are ignorant and helpless about it basically. Is it possible though that "the truth" (WTH is that, in this context) would actually force us into a great deal more 'responsibility' that our species is just not ready for yet? Sure, maybe YOU PERSONALLY are... but look around... might the control system be protective to a degree, not just mercenary?

(That's another devil's advocate thought. Don't hurt me. I don't want to be an ignorant prole-of-the-universe.)

All these posts are one cohesive and beautiful symmetry to me with nary a mole in sight.

Every time I check in and there are two new pages of posts, I read them, and discover that I am utterly confused. I have to remind myself, what the hell were we talking about again??

It's one thing to occasionally have a post about this or that, as every topic side-swipes other topics. Can't let that get out of hand or...

Sorry about that. I'm truly regretting starting this thread. It's the first time I've ever felt that, and I feel it deeply. The way I'm feeling right now, it's the last thread I'll do here. Not to mention I've been grouchy and got some of my friends computers scanned to boot.

I'm not myself lately, and neither is our community it seems to me. I started this thread hoping for some interesting discussion on a vague but intriguing theory and the belief that I had some pertinent information on topics that Vallee himself has brought up: Human deceit in ufology, and some possible IDH-type deceit as well.

I never crybaby and seek sympathy on the boards, but I lost my little sister over the holidays---almost two heartbreaking weeks of literally living in the ICU and hospice. I'm isolating and ignoring my rl friends and was just looking for escapism here and mucked it up.

Like I said, I'm not thinking clearly and I'm truly grieving not just that, but I feel awful about the Joint Operations website fiasco. I am so sorry, amigos. Thank you for those who have been kind about it both publicly and privately. That means a lot. I've been a real butthole on these boards when other folk have made mistakes like that and I don't deserve the kindness you've shown. Please, I'm not looking for condolences--we all understand that pain--but I hope y'all can forgive me for being so wiggy.

Think I need a break from this.

I had a vision one time about how a proto human started to have the beginnings of a personal self...and it terrified him greatly to be a little weak human in a big scary universe.

There was a huge lightning storm and he was so terrified that he almost stopped existing due to pure existential fear.

This ptsd caused his amygdala to experience neural kindling. Changing his brain frequency.

then THEY came..scary energy worms in the storm and possessed him and his descendents.

Over time those with the parasites/symbiote survived better and had more offspring..As the worms deaden certain kinds of thought and fear that allow humans to function.

they turn down the juice that spiritual people fight to recover.

These terms, ET, alien, UFOs are meaningless.

They are universal, an integral part of it as we are

There may be an element of Occams Razor here

They may be trying to prevent some nuclear conflagration

But also trying to prevent it from recurring.

I want to say something to make you feel better, so I guess I'll just say what's on my mind and hope for the best.

A big part about being at ATS, and I know it can't just be me, is learning the hard way (most of the time, sometimes you see someone else jack up and learn not to do it That way) about information security. Heck, it ended up being a minor area of study for me and I test out for sec+ soon.

So: whatever; hell, there was a phishing attack on the Vampyr thread.

No one is interested in a bunch of vets and relatives of vets doing what Americans do, especially American vets; it's congenital amongst the breed.

You have brought much to the table and your threads have effectively changed the course of disscussion here when it comes to UFOs and even metaphysics.

Feel better, man, get some chow and have a smoke*.

Hey GUT, please do not feel any regret regarding this thread. There is a lot of valid information here, but as always, one must read selectively. I think your threads are highly relevant and reflective of a direction Ufology should be going in (plus covering plenty of other ground and 'ologies), and the time and care you obviously put into your threads is certainly appreciated by me.

Condolences on your sister.

Death is a biggie, hard to reconcile, and just its shadow causes me to constantly reevaluate what I know. I recently lost my cat, my constant companion of the last 14 years, and despite his small size, the absence weighs greatly upon me. Unfortunately the reaper seems to be circling another person very close to me - hopefully there are a few years, but who knows? After the passing of a loved one there may be words aplenty from people, but as to how much they reach the grieving party is unknowable. Certainly it is something all humans can appreciate, perhaps one of the foundations of being sentient and alive.

So please GUT, don't despair over this thread. I'm one of your biggest cheerleaders and in my opinion there are equally valid thoughts and discoveries in this contribution, just as there are in your other threads. It's just a matter of using our own intuition and intellect to find the information pertinent to ourselves.

Oh man. That really sucks GUT. Please hang in there.

I also noticed that the Nine stuff coming from Puharich mentions stuff around the Einstein-Lorentz Equation and its relationship to 'superconsciousness'. Might be something worth checking out.

Hey, don't know if you remember, but in my "Introduction" thread, I all but named you personally as the reason that I stopped lurking about and actually 'signed up' here, because your threads were the ones I specifically wanted to participate in…and at the time, it was one of your posts I specifically wanted to reply to...

And this thread has been just as great as all the others - please don't regret a bit of it - a good thread is like a good conversation, a little 'wandering' round the edges can add whole new perspectives to the over-all topic…

My heart goes out to you on your loss, and I pray for you comfort in your sorrow.

GUT, truly, deeply sorry about your sister. Even though I'm convinced death is a simple transition, that proto-knowledge does not much too dull the fierce anger and pain when it claims someone who makes the world better by just being here. I don't want the wonderful person behind the words on this site to feel that wasting pain.

I'm sick of death, he can suck it. I miss the fantastic folks he's dragged away. But really, it's selfish... because this ol' world can be really nasty, too, and there's two sides to the equation, really.

But as misery is a horny teenage boy craving company, consider us naughty cheerleaders.

Forgive me for this long post. I hate to read them myself but considering the issue I deem this pertinent.

My life has been dedicated to one thing.

Years ago I was a student of one of the world’s top spiritual masters; I won’t go into his name.

At the time I had been in a bad way for a while as one of his students and became a bit discouraged, as the path to truth is laden with difficulty

I asked for a meeting with the master to ask ask him a question that had been particularly bothering me.

It wasn’t on the surface a deep question but it became to me a profound one.

One that could change my life from a half ass quest to a full blown search for truth.

I was inside his room in his presence, a little nervous.

I asked him, as I had been thinking in my heart lately about all the pain and misery, ignorance in the world, and was wondering was this all worth it, this had been plaguing my heart.

I asked him the simple question: “what am I here for… what do I do?

The Master without hesitation said: “To Know God”

In this teaching tradition that meant one thing which I realized immediately

As some mystics seek devotional acts, some acts of worship, some acts of vast charity,

Mine was to seek knowledge. That’s what he told me.

What kind of knowledge…well of course the metaphysical path was the focus then and it still is but that’s just the center of it. There are peripheral points of knowledge THAT SEEKERS LIKE ME HAVE TO CONTACT, as an addendum to the basic path of love, light and truth...

That was the primary reason I came here for, Knowledge of UFOlogy.

Previously I had done the same thing towards a new form of metaphysics I wanted to learn called AQAL: Ken Wilber's work.

I joined forums and learned through direct experience with practitioners of that science and gained a level of expertise in it over a short period of time. The resaon for my success is that I contacted the most excellent in that field.

Now I came here ATS
Not for mystical knowledge, I rarely enter the metaphysics and Philosophy forum here. I have done that in the past and it is something I don’t need to do at this point. Been there done that sort to speak…

A seeker of knowledge often seeks particular kinds of knowledge in his overall quest for the ultimate wisdom. Here I came for knowledge of UFOlogy
And that is the primary reason I have gone on this forum.

At first I went on and deliberately got my feet wet getting embroiled in political discussions.

Up until recently I hadn’t seen any of the UFO forums I thought would fulfill my quest until I came upon GUT’s great threads.

Maybe… what a month ago...and I have gained much information and knowledge about UFOlogy, much more than expected Because of GUT

And I mean this sincerely….GUT has been my teacher in this knowledge And the many others wise and great people here.

Before going on GUTs threads I had yet to be drawn to any of the UFO threads but it was GUTs great threads that finally drew me to the point where I was sure I would get what I needed

My primary field of study is metaphysics THAT'S THE CENTER OF MY SEARCH FOR KNOWLEDGE, THE SAME STUFF Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad and their sincere followers seek.

I have been on myriad forums on this topic but coming here I particularly wanted to study UFOLOGY, something I had been doing off and on previously.

There is a truth their I need to know, and being a seeker of truth where I have gained something in metaphysics that I have to hook up with UFOLOGY for a reason I can’t go into at this time.

I will say though that being a seeker of divine knowledge there is a time when I will get what I need from UFOLOGY and then depart this from of knowledge when I am able to integrate it in its proper perspective in my search.

A seeker moves on when he gains what he needs as Buddha says

When over the river discard the boat.

I just sincerely want GUT to understand I have been to many great people of knowledge and I know intuitively gold when I see it, I know the wheat from the chaff by the grace of God it comes to me easily sometimes.

And you are Gold sir

You in your own right are a seeker like me.

We are a rare breed.

We follow in the footsteps of great men and woman who have sought knowledge down the ages and dedicated a great part of their life’s work to that so we may one day advance the whole human race or be a part of that great endeavor.

With that said, I enjoy a spot of wine once in a while, a beautiful partner, a good time watching kids play, a good movie, a good friend, etc…

What I have learned is that while seeking deep knowledge, one has to moderate that with balance and respect that we are human and must satisfy certain human traits and desires as long as they are compatible with our search for the sublime…search for the miraculous.

So GUT please. go ahead take a little time off if you feel the need, though this is not advice I am in no position to advise you for I don’t know you well enough to presume to do that.

But please sir do what have to do to get and maintain that peaceful balance in your personal loss and your discouragement about participating on this form any longer. If that means you leave this forum for a while then so be it we all wish you well and are indebted to you for your contribution and excellence.

But understand your input and work is of immense value, AND THAT’S THE TRUTH.

Took me a couple of days to wade through the thread; happy I expended the effort to do so. Ser Gut, my utmost respect to you for this insightful thread and deepest condolences to you upon your loss.

Hope I'm not late to the party...

So we have what seems to be evidence that these phenomena associated with incidences of 'high strangeness' show signs of being a part of a control system for humanity as a whole when considering that reports of such occurrences take place all the way throughout recorded history. And considering their manifestations seem to be congruent with human experience and understanding, this system either arises out of our collective consciousness, or it has been imposed upon us from without.

When taken in to consideration with a couple of the other threads I've been participating in lately, some very interesting possibilities arise.

It has been remarked numerous times how many of the same names keep coming up and these names always involve the upper most echelons that can be revealed by published works. And always there is the meshing of UFOlogy and psi research utilizing advanced technologies. If we look in the past, these happenings are covered in religious and spiritual overtones.

Persinger and his helmet, Alexander and his UFO research, Vallee and his early computer work which, oddly enough, lead him to the weirdness.

Looking further I find it very interesting that for Alexander's book, UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities Vallee mentions their first (I think) meeting during his (Alexander's) Menlo Park visit (who else is famous for having used that place? hmmm?) and having discussed several topics but before being able to get on to the 'extensive conversation on "our subject"' was interrupted by the Loma Prieta earthquake. One final note on this book, the commentary is provided by one Tom Clancy.

I seem to recall some mentions of rumors that Clancy's death was related to something he knew. I never followed up on any of that, but it was something that popped to my mind when I saw the cover.

Further looking at Vallee's works finds the following:

Other people, such as Laszlo, have envisioned a sort of "world homeostat system" based on the idea that global control must exist in any dynamically stable system, the sphere of human existence, for example. The concept of a "psychic control system" which I proposed in The Invisible College, would also be relevant here.

Ok, So this control system either arises from our collective consciousness, or it has been imposed upon us from without. And those whom are messing around with the OS (of the universe) are trying to figure out which. Perhaps there's even an element of both at play.
