That is the same cam (#1) at about an hour apart.
It has grown.

Looks like another severe winter for Europe and North America...and all in between, on the way .
Keep warm.

I was referring to the live stream, i thought you were watching it to

It is clearly growing, i agree with that.

Cam 1

Cam 2

It has outgrown the zoomed-in area on cam 2
The Cam Operator needs to reposition it.

Oh yeah but I tend to focus on cam 1, as it is easier on the eyes.

No, not yet anyways.
This is just a rift eruption, it is generating pahoehoe lava, a basalt, it is not pyroclastic or super ashy.

volcano.oregonstate.edu...

Thus far we're going to get the same sort of winter we had last year, as far as I am aware of anyways

maybe its because I'm a map nut, but how hard would it be for someone who is up there to take a small hand held GPS device and take a reading of where the F this gash spewing molten lava is at!
I've been searching the Web for hours trying to find the exact spot.
I was a bit out before, on the west side of the earthquakes (dike?)
Its at 64.870006, -16.835777
there are some depressions in the ground already, it must have busted open here before.
Thanks to earthquake-report for collecting the 2 maps that show the location (no credits so couldn't get a decent copy of the images) I can't read the source on the one below, but it looks official and in Icelandic

It will also be interesting how long it takes Google Maps to show the eruption on GE?
Back in 2000 when White Island New Zealand erupted they captured the plume on the GE iamges, it stayed there for nearly 10 years after the eruption had finished though.

As much as I want to see the next burp from Bardarbunga, bed calls

So if a volcano explodes and no one sees it, has it really exploded?

thanks , confirms where I put it myself, just a few hundred metres north
definitely on the line of those potholes you see on the maps and google earth
which will now be a different shape and size no doubt

I'm taking screenshots about every hour, or if there is a sudden change, while I'm at home
I'll post them on my volcanictremor blog later tonight

here is my screen captures for 01.02.0214
volcanictremor.wordpress.com...

it was a bit of a muddle on GoogleDrive as you have to click "select" then "edit" then "copy" to get the image address then "paste", and they are not filed in order of name, but when you last edited them Dropbox was a lot easier just right click once on "copy public link" and "paste"
maybe I'm not doing it right, I can't see any other way.

Mila cameras have been unobtainable all morning, so no new screenshots.

In the mean time, I found these cool animations
sequence since Aug 16th
www.ijsland-enzo.nl...

and this one the dots drop out of the sky and land on the map

www.ijsland-enzo.nl...

there are some clever people out there

data must be off steinar as he has 380 events for the 31st Aug. whereas verdur reviewed data only shows 209.
Good effort though

That's brilliant

Reminds me of Moose dropping ping-pong balls on Captain Kangaroo.
(Showing my age I guess
)

I've been out most of the day doing the ' honey do's .'
Our swamp cooler decided to bloom mold, so I had to go up and try the bleach & vinegar trick.
It turned out there was too much mold and hard water build up & junk, so it was a total tear down & replace job.
