Strange Booms in VA. (from ATSNN)

Alls quiet the crickets are chripping your just starting to drift of in to Dream land. Then BOOM a noise awakens you form your restful sleep. Your mind races you think of all the bad things that can happen in this new world we now live in, but its worse its none of those things.



Its is a real noise I hear it nightly and now in the daytime. The story must be real then. I feel for all the people that hear this noise. Its envades your yard,house, and life.

is there a military base near by? Maybe there doing training.

I'm sure you thought of that, but just in case.

maybe there's some old guy with a shotgun, tellin teen-agers to "get off my property youngsters!!!" and he tries to shoot at them but he misses because he is so old!

Quantico Marine Corps base is somewhat near by and they fire some big guns and they can be heard for miles. Also, there's a lot of construction going on in that area, could be blasting...for what it's worth.

The sonic boom caused by aircraft breaking the sound barrier is an obvious explanation but I am sure that this has been thought of already. Sometimes the obvious is the first thing to get overlooked though. Are their any mountains nearby? What is the weather like at this time of year?

i thought about Quantico Marine Corps base but it over 60 miles away.
a sonic boom was the first thing that came to mind,but its not that. the rock queryes cant blast at night due to OSHA rules. i even thought that it might be volcanic activety but the USGS show no earthquakes for the past 45 days. its louder than a shot gun.

I'd like to hear more about this, is there any related threads on this elsewhere? Very interesting, especially the part about city officials not knowing what it was.

Is there anyway to get a recording of the sounds? Annalysis could help rule out certian types of sources.

What is the range of these sounds. How far apart are the witness reports?

Dragon, I'm between Warrenton and Manassas, and i hear them every night. The closest military base to me is Vint Hill, and it's been closed for years.

I heard of a new set of devices being delpoyed in LA where detection sensors are installed in all of the city's traffic lights. the sensors detect things like radiation, cell phone transmittions, and raw sound. They can use them to pin point gun shots to within a 10ft accuracy. Could help in this situation.

ill try to get some recordings but there most likely be to much ambent noise for me to pinpoint it. if you really waht to hear it go to the New Bridge Deli at Lake Anna Va.
it seems no one know wath these noises are ive called the FBI,NASA, and all my contacts. the FBI bluw me off, NASA was clueless and my contacts its the first they have heard of any thing like this in Va.

Notme LA's crime rate is lower than richmond's any they dont have enough moeny to hire more cops let alone pay for sound sensors. i dont even go into richmond any more

Perhaps its the oompah-loompahs blasting their way to the surface to reclaim their own?

Wow this is like a really common occurance. This is kinda freaky stuff. Although, it seems everything is always UFO related.... as usual. Damn noisy Aliens and their stupid warp drives!

I am still looking around, I saw the england ones from like 2000. I found an Italian site as well, but it was in .. well.. Italian. This is really wierd stuff here. Maybe the Aliens are coming.. hell I don't even care if they're good or bad, I just want to see something different.

I just thought of something else....Maybe the Russians are testing those new missles they said they have developed that can evade any anti-missile system? Or maybe the U.S. is developing some new weapons to counter the Russians? Just a thought.....

Maybe someone is racing the clock building underground installations. Time might be short, and this might be why they simply can�t care less if it�s so obvious somethings going on.

Or maybe not... Maybe covert wars are being fought, invisible to us for whatever reason, underground, cloaked etc..etc...

Could it be Mother Earth or would that be recorded by seismographs then?
There was a thread here on the forum about this. The phenomenon started 1-2 months ago and resurfaced just 2weeks ago. And now its reported about again. Weird.

I know the date on these story links are old that im posting here but as i was sitting wondering if the booms are some sort of magnetic or sonic weapon and reading the links, the electrical power needed to generate a weapon might indeed be able to do this in its early uncontrollable stages...Electrical whizzes of the forums please help us out with this...Tesla Coil maybe?
