So then why advocate a forced gutting of everyone and everything by a small oligarchy at the top who certainly will not live by those laws they will ruthlessly impose on everyone else? There was a movie called Elysium. That's the type of world your ideas will be setting up. There will be a few very rich and powerful people at the top pulling the strings for the rest of us keeping us down. That's all that socialism and communism ever lead to, and it's all the incremental NWO approach is leading us to again.

Making everyone else miserable won't fix the things that have been done, but it might give you a feeling of temporary vengeance. They're trying to push us into a revolution all right, but they want people like you to think the answer is exactly what they're selling, and they're selling it through people like Mr. Brand, the young, hip in guys. When the time comes, you'll pull down the system and thank them for taking control, and then you'll quickly discover that the gilding comes off the cage.

A. It's a theoretical discussion. However you say it will never happen?? are you sure? history has a way of surprising you.

B. You know nothing about me. However I do not believe in supporting people who are not willing to try and support themselves, because they know they can play the system, and have society pay for everything. IN that respect should I be obliged to care?? and if so why?

You talk as if poverty in the UK cannot be overcome, yet you do not say why.

Who above "the poor" is holding them back/ down

Also define what you consider as "the poor"

ETA, you want to talk comparisons, take a look at El Salvador, then we'll talk comparisons. Levels of poverty that exist in Latin America are in no way comparable to the LUXURY, that the major of people classed as "the poor" in the UK live in. I am being dead serious when I say this. I really am.

Ok i never liked the guy until i saw the interview with paxman..What made things even more strange i headed over to youtube to leave a simple comment..

And was bombarded with shill's,Which was more like a jibbering bot that was just constantly replying to post's i never believed in shill's or such things,As much as i do now..

What was even more strange was they would not leave me alone till i pointed out he was a shill,And when i scrolled down he was commenting too much it was obvious..

I wouldn't be surprised if he is found in awful situation be it a drug overdose,Or some other strange type of accident..

He spoke his mind and said allot of things that make allot of sense,He stood up for allot of people when he spoke including me..He certainly owned the whole interview and paxman did not know what to do because he was speaking the truth,But beware the shill's are all over this..!

I couldn't believe how obvious it was they stand out like a sore thumb..

I became a fan of Russell Brand a couple of years ago when I saw one of his interviews. This guy is deceptively intelligent. Although I think someone needs to introduce him to the idea of a resource based economy because thats what I think he is looking for.

There will be no rich, and no one more powerful than anyone else, in a nation fairly run. Matters of significance could be settled by nation wide vote, rather than left to officials to have a say over, and all matters of importance would be open for debate by any citizen, not just an entitled few. Distributed currency, distributed governance, literally by and for the people, not the tangled web of payoffs and cover ups that currently prevails, run by a tiny number of influential individuals.

Imightknow
Russell Brand is exactly what this world needs, which is leaders who are smart and awakened who have the capability to reach the masses via the MSM and other methods that normal people do not have access to.

Its only a matter of time before he won't be allowed on any news programs any longer because I think TPTB will label him too big of a threat. More and more people will start to hear him and listen to him.

Russell is a great man who is probably responsible for many people's awakenings and awareness. Much props to him!

Hell will freeze over before this idiot is a leader. He cares about one thing only; getting his end away.

He'll mess up sooner or later, the sooner the better.

A sex crazed, former drug addict (?) dandy turns up and plays the socialist and he's a hero all of a sudden. Get a grip kiddies.

I see your point too.

Maybe he gives a lot to charity, but christ said to give up all your wealth

Christian Loophole Number 78643 subsection A: Since you can ride your sins to the very end and then ask for forgiveness, you can keep your cash and enjoy it, better that than to give it away to some poor undeserving non-Christians.

People pick and choose from the rules they like and the rules they don't. Look at actual law, we have a lot of criminals in prison. If there was a Christian prison, there would be a far greater proportion of the demographic in there.

(This is a bunch of "they"s - sorry in advance
)

I think they WANT people to revolt.
I think it would be a dream come true for them and would make it so much easier for them.
I think they prod us more and more as time goes by.
They're even drawing the lines in the sand for us.
They know us better than we do and I think they exploit that constantly.

I seriously doubt the US public is acting in any way that they are NOT anticipating.

IMO Russel may mean well but I think he just wants a paycheck - and where would that go if people revolted?

I don't know what the answer is but I certainly do think that picking a fight with "them" will not bode well for anyone anywhere.

To what are you referring...quotes please.

You know nothing about me.

Indeed, I do, everything you are is in your posts...and it's hideous!

My post to you contains the rebuttal required for your generalising. You no longer need to be addressed.

And you don't see how that would never work in a nation of 350,000,000 individuals? How do you have a literal national debate? How long does that last? How do you prevent balkanized groups from forming that create voting blocks that protect special interests rather than individuals just as happens now? How do you prevent those interest groups from forming unbeatable blocks that victimize the few at the for the gain of the rest? If no one is empowered to enforce the laws because all are perfectly equal, how do make sure the laws are followed?

Have you really though all this through beyond thinking it all sounds good?

People often miss the context behind that. He was talking to a man for whom wealth was his god. For that man, giving up all his wealth would be necessary. It's like an addict going cold turkey. Money and wealth and material goods mean what they mean to all of us and for some, they take God's place in our hearts. For those people, yes, giving up all your wealth may be necessary.

Of course, I've been here arguing hard for letting people keep what they earn. I don't so much want to keep all I have. I just want to retain my right to dispose of my hard-earned property as I see fit rather than have it forcibly taken from me by people who tell me they're doing it for my own good and know better than I do how to use it.

I rather like having the option to give to charity and the charities of my choice.
