72 hours... every major city... total chaos! That time frame will bring us to Monday, which happens to be Columbus Day. I wonder if there's some planning going on here.

Oathkeepers have been telling us for some time now to prepare by storing up some food. Not only to feed ourselves, but others in our communities in need too...

hmm Does anyone know if this has happen before? Has the EBT system fail before? Very curious about this!

No, it was at 10 am this morning and they didn't know what was going on. I was going to go back after work and try again... But this news makes me worry a bit. Mabie it will be back up tomarow.

So, can we trace this back to the gov or is this something more outside the box. Say, the S.E.A hacking the EBT system? Anonymous? Some other cyber terrorist group?
Weren't we warned about that too, and if we are under cyber attack they can declare martial law.

Reports from around the country began pouring in around 9 a.m. on Saturday that customers’ EBT cards were not working in stores.

The glitch, however, did not appear to be part of the government shutdown. At 2 p.m., an EBT customer service representative told CBS Boston that the system was currently down for a computer system upgrade.

The representative said the glitch is affecting people nationwide. She could not say when officials expected the system to be restored.

People calling the customer service line were being told to call back later.

The federal EBT website was unavailable due to the government shutdown.

Isn't this convenient? More blackmail over the shutdown IMO, to get what they want.

I really hope Bill Gates just buys Washington State when this is done, i can live as a slave to Xbox if i get a free system and games. Better then spending my days harvesting coffee beans for the Starbucks Empire.

i read lately that if you put all the people on food stamps in america in a line you would have to DRIVE AT 60 mph 24 HOURS A DAY FOR 32 DAYS TO GET TO THE END .

no wonder america is in deep sxxx if you cannot feed yourself tough STARVE SUCKERS welcome to the big bad world .
only the strong survive it is the way off the world that you helped build .

this is how parents feel/felt in syria /iraq/afganistan/etc etc etc etc etc etc etc .

think it is bad wait for the power to go out .
wait for the water/sewage to stop .

wait for the market to get bombed schools to get hit .

EBT recipients seem to buy way more than average supermarket customers, im talking usually it would be two full carts one older lady would be buying, by herself with her ebt card and the supermart would deliver it for her in cardboard boxes she get to keep each time. that's alot of food and boxes each trip.

where does it all go? into body fat and land fills, i think. now, i wonder what these spoiled ebters are going to do with slightly emptier cupboards starting today? riot?

Do the same thing but for pigs,corn,potatoes and chickens.
Then an axe,flint rock and steel rust resistant pots.(for boiling water)
Then a ultra cheap water filter like this...

Corn/Potatoes grow fast and last long(fermented can make biodiesel and ethanol).

Pigs and Chicken help provide manure for growing vegetables.

No water = screwed fast.

CNN is reporting that Xerox who has a contract to operate Ebt cards commented the system shutdown when they were testing their backup system.

Their story reads like a compilation of ATS, with slightly less info.

And just to show that my tin foil hat still fits...I would suggest they were instead testing the "shutdown" that may actually occur next weekend if D.C. doesn't work out their differences.

Children and the elderly will be starved in a matter of days. Not everyone can afford a reserve of food, many are barely making it now. There has been a massive redistribution of wealth in this country and it went straight to the top. Corporate welfare far exceeds help to the citizens in need through circumstance. Wonder if their platinum cards suffered any glitches at the country clubs today.

This is insane. Now we are going to starve the children and elderly? What kind of family value is that? Everyone wants to fight over the life of a child until they are born and then it's "hell why can't YOU feed them on minimum wage?" AndI that's if you can even find a job for that right now. Unless you can hit a 3 or tackle someone to the ground in this country you have no value. Good mothers? Good fathers? What kind of reward are we giving for that these days? Pffft.

Force the middle class to take corporate "insurance".(hurts small businesses but not offshore megacorps)
Remove tax breaks for the rich.(hurts the quasi-rich but not the plutocrats)
Remove Medicare and Social Security.(mostly people on retirement)
Bring back the military draft.(young able bodied people)
