One can believe what ever they want but breaking those fantasies is best left to professionals. The person can be damaged if not done properly if she truly believes shes a vampire then only a professional can help other wise she can have some side effects such as suicide. This can happen when a false persona is destoyed without proper care. In most situations the person will eventually drop there alter ego when they are no longer needed.

We get a veritable plethora of inane threads here as I'm sure you know and have seen!

She's playing each and every one of us, and quite cleverly too....having said that, it doesn't take much, anyone with a modicum of intelligence can, when they put their mind to it, create a thread on ATS making extraordinary claims and if they handle the replies in the right way, as our delightful aptrgangr has done, convince a few people that they are what they say they are.

She's not a vampire of course, but what we don't know, because of the way she responds , is if she knows that!

Just because she's eloquent....doesn't mean she's not delusional.



So in my opinion, she is playing it well....just not as convincingly as she thinks she is.

It (Colares Brazil Incursion) didn't seem like an invasion cuz that would have been devastating.

More like they were looking for someone, or something.

Like a villager stumbled upon something they shouldn't have, or cut down a protected section of Rain Forest or they were searching for the right blood, or they were taking or testing blood in general.

Agreed, the etymology of the word in English is with the 'y' not the 'i', any self respecting vamp should know their history a little better.

So are you saying I now have a responsibility to vet every person that comes on ATS and makes extraordinary claims for fear of damaging their psyche? If that is the case then ATS should just shut down since most of the threads here deal in the extraordinary.

We have vampires, vampire hunters, werewolves, poltergeists, ghosts, ghost hunters, witches, warlocks, aliens and those that speak with them and on and on. Are all of these people that make the claims to either be or hunt or have seen in need of help and should we vet them also? Where does it end? At what point is it ok or not ok to question someone that makes extraordinary claims? Are vampires a special case and we should use kid gloves with them but it is ok to manhandle those that claim to be indigo children?

Please, since you brought it up, tell me where my responsibility lies.

No, I was saying we can have debates with people without resorting to abuse. Do we talk to people like this on the street/in the real world?

Please tell me where I am hostile. I am merely asking the OP to do what she said she could do which is prove that she is a vampire by demonstrating that fact. She has stated:

Therefore I have asked her to verify and demonstrate her claim. How is that hostile? I guess it would be hostile if the person were not truly a vampire and really could not verify or demonstrate it.

Maybe I should have ended that by instead saying : but in general an attitude of a hostile nature that some people have does have serious consequences for some vulnerable people.

In re-answer to your repeated question, I'm not talking about 'vetting' people; that presupposes an over-alert system of alertness. What I mean is just a more thoughtful approach without a gung-ho approach where some people wade in kicking and screaming with no thought for the other person.

i wasnt trying to start people arguing just was trying to point out you cant use a sledge hammer to shatter a persons belief i assure you there is a reason for this. Yes, you were stating that I was not abusing people but you were stating that I was being hostile and I take affront to that. When I am hostile, believe me, you will know it. Asking someone to do what they stated they can do is not hostility. If you believe I have been hostile could you please point out the exact thread or threads so that I can change my approach in the future?

Instead of just claiming something, as the op does in claiming to be a vampire and you do in claiming that I am hostile, please just prove it or kindly find someone else to bother. Thank you.
