This video blatantly shows her vehicle had nothing to do with the totaled police vehicle.

If I had to choose what about the reporting made me the most mad, it was that they kept claiming she rammed that police car and put a cop in the hospital, when it was obvious from the damage to her car that she did not. They were also trying to claim the officer had to be removed via the jaws of life, but it looks to me like they just opened his door...

Wow! See? This is exactly the kind of thing that makes me even MORE suspicious. WHY did the media show images of that busted up cop car and try to connect it as if the lady caused it?? Geeeeeze I'm sick of this kind of crap!

She was not trying to breach an unauthorized area. The checkpoint in question was a randomly created outer checkpoint. These types of checkpoints while common in Washington, especially around the White House are not permanent nor fixed checkpoints, they change constantly.

There are however, fixed "checkpoints" around the White house, including the White House gates, she did not try to breach these nor any fixed checkpoint. At this point, a very strong argument can be made that she became confused, emotionally distressed and panicked experiencing a situation that was foreign to her within the moment which is comprehensible and I will offer the situation with the father in New York with his wife and small child in his SUV that had an altercation with a motorcycle "club" as evidence of this happening.

Nobody is the same, people are different, you can't always expect that everyone will act the same way as you in any given circumstance but to claim that gunning down an unarmed women with a 1 year old child in the car because she didn't follow standard protocol at a random outer checkpoint is ludicrous.

I AM EXTREMELY " pi$$ed off " ( in spies like us ref ).

NO NAME OF THIS WOMAN HAS BEEN GIVEN.

BUT WE LEARNED QUICKLY OF THE NAVY YARD SHOOTER. OR PERHAPS SHOOTERS!

NO REPORTS ON BENGHAZI!!

WAS THIS A MOTHER WANTING ANSWERS FROM SANDY HOOK?

WHY IS IT I KNOW MORE ABOUT THE NAVY YARD GUY IN 1 HOUR AND NOT A PANIC STRICKENED MOTHER?

Fffffff. OK you can not say family has not been notified by now.
Who was this unfortunate person.

If she was fully at guilt. Than shame on her for bringing in a child for a shield. Otherwise authorities have better start explaining.

Yes a car is a 1 ton bullet. And I know I'll anger the masses. I'd shoot at an on coming car too.

But I've followed this all day. And I have not seen an ID yet.

Does anyone know who this person was?

To me, the reporting was SO bad that it almost makes me feel like they were trying to frame this woman. Seriously, because of this shoddy reporting I actually feel bad for this woman now.

And, it was pretty much acknowledged early on in this thread that the cop car damage was not from her but was a result of the chase.

Here is a novel idea..

If the person in the car didn't choose to drive like a fool in the Capital during a heightened time of tension ignoring multiple attempts to stop her then this result would not have occurred.

Mirian Carey also goes by Miriam Carey.

Strange thing is this was her boss.

So, because that action seems irrational to you, it is ok for those on the scene to impose a death sentence? Are you American? Have you heard of due process of law?

Most reports say it was the checkpoint at 15th and E street, to enter the White House grounds. If you have different sources, please post them.

A black Infiniti with Connecticut plates strikes a security post at the entrance to the White House at 15th and E streets NW. Witnesses said officers pull a metal barrier into the driver’s path, but the driver accelerates, knocking down the barricade and striking a uniformed Secret Service officer before hurtling east down Pennsylvania Avenue toward the Capitol with police in pursuit.

Did the cops or media acknowledge that early on? I don't think the media has acknowledged it YET! All we know is she sped off from a gate, clearly we know this from the video. Wow man, that's a real badass scary terrorist. Everything else reported in the beginning was a complete lie, we know this now.

So do you think there's a connection? I'm trying to understand what her boss may have to do with any of this. Or we're you just making mention?

Where did I say killing her was justified but in the real world justified does not always equal the move at hand.

She chose to create this situation and the people on the ground, not the armchair quarterbacks sitting behind a computer able to analyze everything in slowmo, made decisions based on what was happening in front of them.

Do I feel bad a child lost a mother, 100%.
Do I feel bad someone lost their life, 100%
Do i feel bad their were consequences for someone that bad a series , not just one, of really dumb choices, no I do not.

National Defense Service Ribbon for a Navy dentist in VA?
Something strange about that.

Why? It's issued to anyone that serves during a time of war. Anyone that graduates from basic training/boot camp/whatever gets one.

Right cause in the chaos of a developing situation getting all the facts across is always easy and accurate.
Let me know on what planet, beyond the minds of people behind the computer here, that actually happens.
Doesn't always happen in an ER.
Doesn't always happen in a fire.
Doesn't always happen in combat.
Doesn't always happen in the IT world..

Again, she made bad choices and she is the only person responsible for this. I am sure a few of you will keep ignoring that and blaming everyone else but her. I know..she was just a nice little lady confused and it's ok she drove through multiple check points and sped around like that..the mean cops should just asked her nicely to stop then shook their heads and let her go.
