If that was true then Pelosi could get a discharge petition with a majority vote as long as they could guarantee passage of the clean CR.

So if she can get those 20 R's to sign on why doesn't she?

The answer is easy: Just today, Odrama has demanded an unlimited debt ceiling, and the HC law to begin with absolutely no modifications.. It is all over the news..
He is blaming republicans for not allowing him total control of everything just like Pol Pot had, or Fidel Castro, or just pick any past or current dictator of your choice for a even comparison..

And since the Congressional districts are generally equal by population, it makes sense to see that the majority in the House actually represent the majority of the population IMO.

It looks like the Democrats are *demanding* that the House Republicans should go against the majority of represented citizens.

IMO, the *out of balance* at the Federal level lies within the Senate.

The Republicans compromised to the point that they will fund Obamacon but in return Obamacon will have to get rid of all exemptions, waivers, etc. And Harry Reid won't even agree to it. hahahaah

They aren't debating the debt ceiling yet, not for a few more weeks.

And why shouldn't the ACA begin with no modifications? It was passed, it was defended by the SCOTUS, and the public re-elected Obama.

So what you are basically saying is that the Democrats want Constitutionally passed laws to be implemented, and the Republicans are shutting down the government demanding that doesn't happen.

So again...the ones "demanding" something are the Republicans.

The ACA is funded, has been funded since the legislation passed because the funding is inside the bill.

The Republicans didn't "compromise"...they just dropped one of their insane demands.

And I'm glad Reid, Obama, and all the other Democrats aren't listening to the Republicans and playing their crazy games. You don't negotiate with hostage takers, it only encourages them.

The ACA is already in effect and has already started enrollment, the day has come and gone when the Republicans could delay it.
