but why not trillions?

why not invent a vacuum into which you can pretend there is a Planck's Constant and just keep making stuff up... particle names are so cute and descriptive.

watch The Net, and see how science is just a poem to control how we think and evolution clearly makes for immoral, compete with (rather than love) your brothers and sisters.

moral relativism seems to be a hallmark of new age, which is luciferianism...

gee, why would they want moral relativism? maybe so they can do all the evil stuff they do in secret, out in the open.

this is just a theory, btw.

You are absolutely right because no one worth listening to would tell you its millions of years old they would tell you billions.

The universe is about 13.82 billion years old from what we have discovered so far hell the Earth is about 4.54 Billion years old.

Whoever is telling you it is only millions needs to go back to school or quite spewing ignorance.

Where did I claim Sagan was an atheist though? It was a reference to his show Cosmos.

Ah, the "Zeitgeist" argument never gets old. ALL OF IT has been debunked... there are several websites dedicated to just that. Go to the YouTube channel of Chris White and watch his short film " When I tell people about the NWO they think I'm crazy" he does a nice job of summarizing how none of what you say is true

How can a THEORY be proven fact? So Creationists don't understand Science? Look up a man named Kent Hovind... he is a Creationist and has forgotten more about science than you will ever know

Really? Your example is Hovind? The man whose PhD comes from a diploma mill, doesn't actually understand what the modern evolutionary synthesis is about, and is currently in jail for fraud? Hovind is so ridiculous sites like AnswersInGenesis tell their readers not to use any of his arguments because they are just so wrong on every level. Hovind and science shouldn't even be used in the same sentence. Unless of course that sentence is something along the lines of: Kent Hovind is the antithesis of science.

IMO, both the "theory" of evolution and ideas of intelligent creationism are incorrect. They both prove themselves, they both disprove each other, but there is something common shared by both evolutionism and creationism that if understood will allow many on both sides of this inane argument to forever leave the argument behind.

Finding out what that common trait is, is how to understand why both arguments are nothing more than a game. A method of atonement in a way.
IMO

BS

Observed Evolutionary Events

An excellent example of evolution in action is a 14-year experiment done with Anolis lizards.(Losos et al, 1997) A single species of Anolis lizards was spread across 14 Caribbean islands none of which had any previous lizard populations. Over the time of the experiment, the lizards each adapted to their respective environments. Several new species of lizards evolved. The lizards each changed body shape in response to the flora in their environment. In fact, scientists were able to predict exactly how each lizard population would evolve before seeing the results.

Man... it's like talking to brick walls. Hard to believe that anyone could be so....

Guy they are still lizards....

The Blaze Article

Yes, please do show us the observable change in kind and since you cannot observe 60 million years ago, please show it happening today. Finches are still finches, fish are still fish, and bacteria are still bacteria.

The video loses its main point with Richard Dawkins' not appearing there to answer the question not even God can answer. It shows Dawkin's quote in the beginning, but the veteran anti-theists who has rewrote the history of religion to serve his his own needs is missing from the video.

It was OK to watch before the video makers started to advocate for God the way they did.

It was funny to watch Jaclyn Glenn in that Blaze video having a hard time to reject the devil's suggestion of using the banana to satisfy her feminine needs, but then she did compose herself to deliver her mental vomits.

Literal creationists and anti-theists are the same bunch of loonies tugging at the opposite ends of rope.

Ahhh good, another ''theist - atheist'' debate..

Today's science has it's flaws, we don't know everything about the true nature of the universe.....not yet
But we know much, much, much, much better than a few primitive naive desert people, who imagined an invisible man in the sky was the answer to their existence.

At least at their time there where some ''pagan'' nations who had some sort of science, astronomy, mathematical understanding, and some of them according to recent findings predate the ''creation'' .But the dessert people needed to create their own God to help their moral, which is understandable.

What is rediculous is that the same God is still worshiped in our days.

You have no idea about science ... the word theory in the scientific community means its a fact, but is left open for further understanding of the universe if big changes ( would have to be massive) of our understanding comes up in the future.

(you learn this on day 1 of studying any science .. so the fact you don't knows this proves you have never actually officially studied any scientific field)

when scientists are not sure or in layman's terms have a "theory" they say its a hypothesis ...

So yes anything in science that says theory is pretty much a fact

Any questions ?? ...Do you need anymore basic general knowledge. ??

Can you explain to me exactly what is meant by "... a species changing kind"?

Does it mean Rover the "dog" growing extra eyes or becoming a cat within its lifetime?...

... or does it mean one species of organism "developing" into another over a number of generations?

Evolution V's God

Evo wins............by default

But...what if it's not "Evolution vs God"....what if it's Evolution AND God?

What if there's a God who used everything science is discovering about the universe 'to' create it all, so that the scientists could experience the joy of making their discoveries?

Just something to ponder...

Something to ponder indeed. When sufficient evidence is compiled to change that from a mere whimsical notion to an actual possibility, I'm willing to listen. That time has not yet arrived, nor do we have reason to believe it will.

But if it does...we will see.

yes that is worth pondering but like peter said there is nothing that suggests that is the case atm ... so i dont know why people even worry about it

I dont understand why people who believe in god walk the street but someone who believes in an imaginary friend can be put into an institution ... so we are at the point where some imaginary friends are accepted and some arnt .... seems logical since there is the same amount of evidence for one persons imaginary friend as the next guys

God plays the game under the rule only those who seek shall know and they are not allowed to have proof for those who do not seek proof. For those who know to much it is the normal person in the street who is blind and a bit insane. Humans have a tendency to suppress symptoms of things with medicine without going and examining the route cause.

If you want to know the hidden universe that science misses then the names to look for are chakras, synchronicity and meditation/singing.

What I cannot understand is why people stay in Platos cave and not notice they are only looking at the shades of the light of the real reality.

And you can keep your snide BS remarks to yourself.

Ha. I thought your last sentence was golden but the sentence above it was contradicting it.
(I actually eat crickets instead of Cheetoes and I watch Elton John videos, all day, every day.)

I don't live in the US of A, so to me it's less of a issue. I do have a friend who's very religious.
My mother is religious but she gave me a choice to choose, I thank her for that.
But I would have opposed it anyway.

Here in the Netherlands religious people are a dying race. Churches only serve old people.
Religious people here will become unicorns. Well Christians, that is.
Muslims might become some sort of counter culture since they are pushed into a corner.

And faith? People will worship other things.

Not being learned on this subject, and always wishing to gain in knowledge, I would like to learn the answer to a question which has bothered me for many years.
When I was much younger, because of my rampant thirst, I sipped the water from "questionable source". A few hours later I learned why this is not wise. I contracted amebic dysentery because I had injested an amoeba.
The water source in question was a wide depression in an outcrop of rock. The rock was in an open location, fairly desert like. The water could have only gotten there from rain. Rain comes from clouds of water vapor which has been evaporated from the ground.

My question is:
Where did the amoeba come from and how did it get into the pool of water?
Was it "created" and placed there in order to teach me a lesson?
Or, did it come about because chemistry became biology and the results was a living creature?

Think of it from a causality point of view, think much further back than just the Amoeba, what was the source and what triggered the resultant creation?

Was it random or ordained? By ordained I mean did some omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent source will the entire process into being i.e. this being has such vast knowledge and capabilities that "it" (by the definition of the word) willed a single event into being knowing full well the causality of that event and how it would result in such an event as the Amoeba being present at that time to teach you a lesson (one of many reasons why the Amoeba was present).

That would suggest that everything is preordained but is given opportunities to develop and evolve by the choices a being is presented with and the choices that are made as a result.

Evolution Vs. God

Someone tell me why Evolution is not something designed by God? Why do people think it has to be an either or situation? To me evolution is a proven fact, yet can't be fully explained on why or how it happens. To me it should be called Progressive Evolution.

Evolution is God's time/space technique for creation. This is a process that is controlled by those designated by God. Life on a planet has a purpose and that is to develop a creature with will, the ability to know and love God, but it is the personal choice of the will creature. God compels no one to worship him and he is no respecter of persons. This creature has the potential for an eternal life as a Son of God.

Life is planted on every inhabited world, and there are Trillions of them throughout the universe. Life progressively evolves on each planet. It is dictated by the planet composition and environment. Those that God sends to planets to foster life are the ones who guide evolution in the early days of life development.

They do not necessarily control the evolution of a specific species, but they monitor the best genetics of a given species and are the ones who facilitate the "sudden" evolution into a new species. Once a creature of will appears they withdraw.

If you would like more information on this topic and many others check out the Urantia Book.

Immoral? If you didn't have a god, you would be evil. That's what you people keep telling us. We atheists don't have a god and we're not evil. So if we're going to talk immorality, let's start there.

and we do have a choice in the matter: choose Godlessness and you choose immoral technocratic enslavement.

Or you could do what many have done around the world and defeat evil by choosing to love your Creator: Transformations 1

it is just human pride in the way of happiness here.

Is this a science discussion or a proselytizing session? Let's get back to examining the merits of evolution vs god.

from what i have found, the fake science of evolution is intended to create a Godless society...

this will serve many purposes. Consider Adlus Huxley's grandfather was a force behind darwinism--Darwin was NOT an atheist, btw. Nor was Marx. Marx was a satanist.

this is all setting the stage for something.... hmmm. what could it be?

"Serge Monast's 1994 Warning About NASA's Project Blue Beam (tech able to fake an alien invasion), Not Only Corroborates What Dr. Wernher Von Braun Told Dr. Carol Rosen In The 1970's About This Government Black Operation, To Furtively Implement A Global Communist Government Under The Guise Of A Mass UFO Invasion - Monast's Blue Beam Allegations Are Also Coming True Nearly Two Decades Later - Especially When One Reads Exo Vaticana Petrus Romanus: Project L.U.C.I.F.E.R., and the Vatican's Astonishing Plan for the Arrival of an Alien Savior, And Wonders If This 2013 Book By Authors Tom Horn & Cris Putnam, Is Yet Another Exposition Of The Blue Beam Deception, Or Part Of The Blue Beam Disinformation Campaign?"

You have less reason to believe in god than you have to believe in evolution. I wish I could understand your position, but frankly...

...Frankly, I would have to say that I'd rather die than sell my soul to the cesspool of ignorance that religion has become. As demonstrated by the two images above, religion is holding us back now more than ever. Religion has become a game of intellectual dishonesty.
