Thats an easy question when your not the one living in the country that has repeatedly gotten away with invading countries under false pretense.

The only thing I fear more than my Govt, is multiple Other ones bombing our people in defense.

People have tried to do stuff, but there is simply to much media/television programming for half of the # peopel say to get heard without it being twisted into "they dont know what they want" and "they are just a bunch of hippies"

We have done stuff in the past, to the point that the National Guard was called in and opened fire on our people; the Kent State shootings, protests against Vietnam.

All I really feel that I can do is type and post links. Use social networking to hopefully soon achieve the kind of "protests" we actually need, and I strongly believe they would not be the peacefull kind.

Until then though, im not gonna go out and watch a bunch of my fellow countrymen claim to give a #, claim unity, only to let the cops pick apart the crowds, either one by one, or by fencing off small groups. People rarely hold onto their fellow protestors over here, its disheartenning.

I love the idea of Old America but.... I sadly feel its gone. And that once shtf, im likely going to go to mexico or canada. You know, once the draft comes back when we finally warm up the Cold War back up with Russia. Im not gonna be forced to go murder people who are fighting to defend their country from Ours, one that has been warned constantly to stop pressing forward in countries we should not be in to begin with.

I'll be honest and say the knowledge im privy to scares me. Camps scattered across america for use in case of "natural disasters", the turning of America into a "battleground", and the obvious fact, that Obama runs jack #. Hes a figure head, just like bush was, for a group of people, controlling more than just the United States.

Who knows, maybe Occupy will come back and accomplish more than getting a bunch of people arrested and screaming at cops.

Maybe because in order to take out the bad guys, we would have to wipe out all the major players on both sides.

Round up all the men.

Ask them questions.

Those who are identified as guilty of crimes, and those who tell nothing but lies, put them in a prison on bread and water until they die under the desert sun. Those who honest and relatively innocent, send them back into the general population with full knowledge of who their associates should be.

Rinse and repeat until all hostilities stop.

It is the same thing we should be doing in Iraq and Afghanistan.

When truth hits the fan then you shall see bit-wits make counter-sh##ty argument in order to deflect the original argument.

My suggestion to mideast is, leave they're illusion fantasy world alone. The guilty shall be found when you weigh the scale.

If it's true the saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" than we have two friends in Syria. Let them settle it out. Personally, I believe it is incumbent of the nations in the region to intervene if they wish. If the French want a war let them go in first with boots on the ground.

America should be making itself stronger at home and building defenses, not wasting time blood and money involved in tribal warfare.

Chemical weapons are a no no.

It's a done deal, the US vice President Joe Biden has stated in public that Assad is guilty of using chemical weapons.

The sad reality is that we will do nothing until the bloodshed gets so bad that Americans start dying in large numbers. This is what caused the 60's hippie movement, and it will take something like the Vietnam war in order for enough people to wake up and stand up for their right to live in peace.

I hear what you are saying, but I also see what is going on in the public, and it is unfortunate that it will take drastic measures (a new draft, kids going off to distant lands and coming home in body bags) in order for most Americans to stand up in mass against our governments war mongering ways.

A sad reality, but one that will come someday.

Simply put the answer is No , there won't be anything done by the American people.

Other posters have mentioned the many different reasons for that and you are probably aware of most if not all the restraints now in place in the U.S. as far as any action against their Government.

Could this be changed? Yes , but it would take a massive unification of ideologies and a realization and ownership of what they themselves have allowed to happen to their nation.

This is not saying that any one nation is in a better position at the moment , because they all lack the fortitude to stand up to tyrannical authoritarianism.

We should not get involved. Let the peoples of the middle east find peace or death as they wish. If in all the years of recorded history they have not learned to live in peace then perhaps they are not worthy of the gift of life they have been given. If the west does not learn to live in peace then perhaps it too must die.

This is the sad truth of mortality. That though we are alive, we may not be worthy of our life. We must prove ourselves worthy before we cry to god or our neighbors for peace. If we are given peace only to throw it away over petty differences it is the same as never having been given the chance at peace.
