Mr. Pope,

Thank you for your time here on ATS.

I believe that the odds are stacked in favor of there being an infinite number of ET's in our universe, to think otherwise would be ego-centric and arrogant.

If there were advanced ET's the use physical materials when they might have the capabilities to collapse time and space would be much more effective, thus creating portals.

We have discussed this many times here on ATS and a paradigm that comes to mind is the Norway Spiral.

Now to my question.

Have you investigated occurrences like this, and if so what is your position on the subject?

Thanks,

RT

We can only ever look at this from an anthropocentric viewpoint, so invariably we get debates about good aliens and bad aliens; alien invasion or an invitation to join some sort of galactic federation. I think this is unhelpful, though in a sense, there's not much we can do about it, except trying to avoid phrases that begin by saying something like "Well, aliens wouldn't do that, because ...". Believers and skeptics are equally guilty here, in assessing UFO/abduction testimony and then applying their personal worldview to say why they agree or disagree with what's being presented. That's not to say we can't make some basic assumptions here. One fair one is that if we're being visited, we're dealing with a technology more advanced than our own.

Regarding the more advanced technology, I would love to read your take on possible intentions they could have with humanity, could they for example more likely be good, since 'they' would be of higher intelect, thus the ability for showing more compassion to us?
Followup question, what do you think created us humans? And what's your take on the Annunaki-story?

I appreciate the time you are taking for us

The negatives and the photos were sent back to the newspaper, the Daily Record? in Scotland, they then "lost" them, Make of that what you will.

Hello Mr. Pope,

I am aware of the Cometa Report and the subsequent response from the United States. As I understand it there is a small percentage of photographs of UFO's that cannot be debunked with known technology.

Can you elaborate in relation to the US presenting that these objects are known?

Hi Nick, welcome to ATS and thanks for the Q&A time.

I have more of a comment, and a question most likely I will get bashed for.

Comment

How do we know this simply isn't the government getti g you to spread disinformation (no offense intended)

Question
What are your thoughts on alien species already being here and living among us, or even here before us?

Welcome Mr. Pope,
So many questions, so little time, it must be a bit daunting for you. Many thanks for at least trying to tackle some of them.

Since many of the questions I may have asked have all ready been submitted, I would like to ask some other type of questions.

Sci Fi today, the science of tomorrow.

Being a sci fi writer yourself, Im sure your mind must be open too thinking a lot more outside of the box. Time travel for example. It must inevitably be a possibility at best. So, perhaps for one to say the things we are seeing are probably ours would be a safe bet to some extent, if of course they are ours from the future. At least a percentage. No lies or evasion there.

You mentioned earlier that robotics would be a category to take a closer look at. Do you feel that Isaac Asimov 3 laws of robotics,"
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.," would hold true in the future?

There have been a few threads on here about Gene Roddenberry as well as far as who or whom he may have had contact with and where he may have gotten some of his ideas from that may fall under a "bit curious" category. Any thoughts on your fellow writer or grapevine chatter?

I guess Im just curious as to how much truth could actually be slipped by in the guise of fiction. Hidden in plain sight if you will. If you were to recommend some "good reading material," what might it be?

Thank you for your time sir.

Hello Mr. Pope, it is an honor. I guess this is the same thing as asking if we have been visited, but do you think any of the abductions could have been real? It got to a point that so many people were telling stories - not even for publicity but people were telling their best friends and not even their families, that something happened...

Personally it makes me think they could have been real 30 years ago. Because 30 years ago we have legitimate people come forward in bizarre situations like Travis Walton, I tend to believe the most simple explanation when simple people come forward with allegations given the bizarre surrounding evidence.

Thanks

Mr.. Pope if I could post a second I would be very interested in knowing if you've ever had the opportunity speak one on one with American astronauts Dr.Edgar Mitchell or the late Leroy Gordon Cooper? Both of which made UFO claims.

If so, did they share anything you could share with us...?

Thank you Again

Mr. Pope, It is an honor and thank you for doing this for us.

Quick question would be...what do you suggest as an avenue for our own research? Meaning, if you were us, were would you start on the quest for truth about E.T?

Cheers!

An excellent question and one that gets to the heart of one of the great problems with ufology, namely the tendency to investigate on a case-by-case basis, with little trend analysis. Even where trend analysis is done, is it being done from large enough and representative enough datasets? Probably not. I've certainly noticed some interesting commonalities, e.g. in terms of sudden acceleration from hover/slow speed to high speed, lack of sonic boom, etc. And the rhesus negative blood issue in relation to abductees is potentially very interesting (and testable), but we simply don't have enough people doing proper, scientific research on this sort of thing.

Hello, Mr. Pope, thank you for posting, the fact you mentioned rhesus negative blood caught my eye.

That really shocked me.

I haven't read all the question only your answers, but have you had any dealings with people claiming to have telepathic communication with Aliens?

thank you

I met Dr Edgar Mitchell once, in 2009, and we had a fascinating conversation about things he knew and things he believed. But I don't think he shared with me anything that he hasn't spoken about elsewhere:

Exactly, one just walks away and nothing is mentioned for years.
There is no desire to tell anyone, or maybe the desire is controlled by an outside force.

With apologies for not picking up all the questions in your post (and this goes for other people too, but time constraints are going to preclude my answering everything), but people who I most respect in this field include Leslie Kean, Jacques Vallee and John Alexander, along with scientists like Frank Drake and Michio Kaku, who come at this issue from other angles, but are at least prepared to speak to the possibilities.

Hello Nick Pope, and Welcome to ATS.

Is there anything regarding your position with MoD as it applies to the UFO Phenomenon that you are still as of yet no allowed to discuss?
More appropriately, is there anything specifically UFO Phenomenon related you're barred from discussing until such time as information is declassified?

Granted, if you're not allowed to discuss it, then this would simply be a yes, or no answer, but, any elaboration you might contribute should 'Yes' be the answer, would be be greatly appreciated.

Druscilla asked this question earlier, and I think it has some serious merit. I don't believe you answered it. If I may use in part the spirit of her question, and possibly alter it a bit, my question would be:

Are there any ufo cases brought to the attention of the M.O.D. that you are forbidden to discuss due to your disclosure agreements? Yes or no would be a sufficient answer, I have no wish for you to go into any detail and risk breaking any laws.

I'm not a believer in any of the Nibiru/Eris/Planet X theories and I think NASA has it right here, where they refer to this as an "internet hoax":

If Werner Von Braun told his secretary that tptb were going to fake a cold war and fake terrorism and then fake ufo invasion, why should we trust you and the supposed existence of benevolent aliens?

Is it true that ufos were spotted over every major European city just before they broke out w the plague, as William Bramley asserts?
