Yes, sensitivity training. I'm fuming and I e-mailed the Fair Director over it. I told him that it wasn't "politically correct" to label all rodeo clowns as automatically being insensitive just because they're clowns!

The reaction of the Missouri State Fair officials has been embarrassing and humiliating.

No, they did the right thing. Whatever happened to the conservative rallying cry about respecting the office of the President blah, blah, blah? This forum has really degenerated over the last few years.

Sig Heil... "Thou shalt not insult or make fun of Obama!"

They didn't have any problems with putting Bush's head on a stick in "Game of Thrones" or attack Palin's children. Hypocrites!

The thing about a klan rally is ridiculous. They aren't doing it because he is black, doing it because he is corrupt.

Who are you guys angry at?

It seems that people are angry at Obama and the Federal Government about this...when they had nothing to do with it.

If you disagree with this, you should be angry at the state of Missouri, not Obama.

It became embarrassing when the fair officials demanded sensitivity training and also calling the original clown an idiot. Hypocrites.

Cry me a damn river, and then go school SNL. They've made a profession out of mocking the Oval Office's occupants. Where's your outrage with them? An audience is an audience, doesn't matter where they are. Hypocrite

Typical partisan response...

Obama represents a whole new level of P.C. B. S. that is stifling honest issue debate... critical thinking is out the window...
This story exemplifies that... President Masks have been around since... Presidents...Now when you wear one it's: RACIST!!! RACIST!!!... what a joke...

It died along with respect for Nobel Peace Prizes. When one person is capable of making a mockery of both, how do you expect the citizens to respond?

The guy who wore the Obama mask

If you could copy and paste where that came from I would be grateful.

The only thing I see is this. . ..

An Obama-mask clown

Note that "clown" is the operative word.

I just read 12 articles about the same thing. They all say the same thing.

They only mention the clown.

The actors name is not given at all in any of those articles.

Actually, the clown's name was given in the link provided above your last post.

The rodeo clown who was dressed as Obama and who was banned is named, Tuffy Gessling.

Obama will have the greatest legacy of all presidents. They will build monuments and statues in his honor. His face will be on stamps and coins in the future.

Only his meager successes will be remembered, his flaws will be forgotten and buried, our forebears will hold him in high regard,he will be nearly mythical, mentioned in the same breath with Washington,Lincoln, and Kennedy.

Lincoln closed down newspapers and illegally arrested people for making fun of him in print.True story.

Today's tyrant is tomorrows hero.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think his great accomplishments are/will be? What will this legacy be wrapped around?

In 1994, there was a ‘George Bush’ rodeo clown dummy

The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Licciardello crouched in a heavily padded barrel, a human target should the bull decide to charge. Hawkins waited near the barrel, holding his big inner tube. A dummy with a George Bush mask stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick.

T.J. Hawkins rolled out the big inner tube, and the bull lowered his head, shot forward and launched into the tube, sending it bounding down the center of the arena. The crowd cheered. Then the bull saw the George Bush dummy. He tore into it, sending the rubber mask flying halfway across the sand as he turned toward the fence, sending cowboys scrambling up the fence rails, hooking one with his horn and tossing him off the fence.

source

Where was the outrage? There was none because Bush is white. It was ok to call him a monkey, moron, imbecile, idiot, and call for his assassination. No one lost their job or had to deal with any outrage. The PC crowd needs to remember that eventually their guys won't be in office, and everything they do could come back to haunt them. The average joe is sick and tired of your whining bs.

Personally, I'm waiting to hear that all rodeos have been banned due to the violent nature of bulls! How dare we subject our kids to viewing (in person) something where someone has the potential of getting hurt?
