There are plenty of doctors who would still say whatever you want them to say for a price.

Here is some proof from a 'lynch mobber '

First, the Social Security Administration now places more weight on self-reported pain and discomfort, has relaxed the screening of mental illness, and accepts medical evidence from the applicant’s own doctor. The share of awards for mental illness rose from 16 percent in 1983 to one third in 2010, while the share of back pain rose from 13 percent in 1983 to 28 percent. Together they account for more than half of disabilities. Of the 2.7 million workers on disability for mental disorders, 1.7 million have “intellectual and mood disorders.” Even young people can be declared disabled if they get nervous at work or school, have attention deficit disorders,

So how does one fix it ?

Get statesman then get a plan with real critieria instead of the come one come all mentality we currently have.

From Regan all the way to the current guy all contributed to this stupidity.

Its a terrible idea!

Rule by mob! I thought as someone pro republic you would balk at mob tyranny.

Leaving it in the hands of untrained people is reckless! What if they get it wrong? And they will and some mob drives a real innocent person to sucide? Thats what happens when the untrained mob is left to call the shots, innocentd go down with the guilty, it why vigalantes are illegal or restricted.

I would start by not allowing so called ptsd claims when it involves car wrecks and other everyday risks, I chocked on my water I cant look at the ocean or lakes without thinking I'm going to drown.

They are going to get cut off one way or the other we don't have the money to pay our bills sooner or later something is going to give and it will have damn little to do with what I think.

Good question….

State by state, person by person re-evaluation.

I know who goes first!! There are many people RIGHT NOW collecting disability who receive ZERO treatment!

BYE-BYE!!

If we don’t police our own damned community, how can we expect some elected/bribed politicians to do it???

Self-reliance and teamwork!! I can smell turds…..can you? Do you need an elected official to tell you when to flush? Someone needs to drop a dime! Ever heard of crime-stoppers? I'm talking about local level...not federal!

Hmmm......

Imagine a guy who kills a child or even his own child in a car wreck?

Everybody deals with their own grief differently. Some people dont come back from it. Some have had mental problems without getting diagnosed for them, earlier traumatic experience pushes them into schizophrenia.

Researchers at the University have found that children who experience severe trauma are three times as likely to develop schizophrenia in later life.

Childhood Trauma Linked to Schizophrenia

Im just glad you are not a Doctor.......

I brought up my PTSD because it's one of the 'invisible' disorders that nobody can really see. Only a qualified doctor is able to determine the extent of the problem. Not some uneducated person on the street. I don't answer to them. As for PTSD from a car wreck? How do you know what the severity of the wreck was? Or any other factors that might be adding to the problem? Not to mention the study released this year saying PTSD can lead to Diabetes. My other physical issues are being... worked on. Not very quickly or even accurately at times either.

If you are not being treated for your disability, especially since the Government is willing to give you the help you need, then by all means these people should be scrutinized to make sure they are not milking the system.

That's convenient.

Well, everything causes cancer these days, too. Maybe we all rate disability.

I'm feeling kind of stressed over this cancer scare....PTSD!!!!!

Another option:

Civil Court.

Let the doctors testify under oath that somebody is disabled.

Tell me there are not a lot of crazy people in the United States?

Like I said, there are those who deal with life differently. Some not so good as others. Case by case brother.

Back in the day I remember investigators who would sit outside watching those who were claiming disability.

Make sure they were not lifting, or doing something contrary to what they said they couldn't do.

Now?

Not so much.

Well there is part of your solution get investigators to bust people who are not worthy of disability.

That would cut alot of the fraud out.

Crazy people should be institutionalized.

They damn sure shouldn't be collecting disability and living amongst my children!

REAL problems should be handled appropriately.....whatever that may be.
