It seems that the Tea Party "patriots" have hit a new low, they are now going around neighborhoods posting lists on intersections of people on disability, food stamps and other welfare services. Folks, this is not how you save a nation.

We're not going to save this country by shaming and humiliating our fellow citizens. We're not going to save this nation by letting our poor starve and go without basic medical care. The people that chose to focus on these issues and ignore the larger ones are in my opinion ignorant. I'm not saying that we don't have people that abuse the system. What I'm getting at is, that we spend close to $900 BILLION in national defense, and god knows how much more money we send to other countries in foreign aid. Why aren't these so called "patriots" posting lists on intersections about which countries receive the most foreign aid? Or which defense contractor has the biggest contract from the federal government?

This public shaming and humiliation will only lead us on a slippery slope.

It kind of reminds me of this:

The poster reads: "This person suffering from hereditary defects costs the community 60,000 Reichsmark during his lifetime. Fellow German, that is your money, too"

Curious here did you support or condemn a certain group publishing the names and address's of gun owners ?

BUT

There are many groups who call themselves 'Tea party'.

There is no national Tea Party Comittee for the record.

I don't support posting lists of any kinds disclosing personal information on public streets.

New Low?

Lumping EVERYONE that claims "Tea Party" into this ridiculous letter.

How do we know the author didn't type it up, or you didn't type it up?

We dont.

This is an ATS "new low"...........

That's good to hear,

BUT much is taken away by the source of that 'story' and the article headline.

It certainly looks like something a faction from the Tea Party would do.

4 to 1? Where are you getting those odds from?
Stars?

Public humiliation that the tea party factions regularly use so it shouldn't be surprising that they're the ones behind this letter. But regarding the contents of the letter, do you agree with posting lists of people on public assistance on public intersections? Hopefully we both share that common ground on this

Any new party that grows and becomes a danger to the status of the two party system we have now will be demonized, and every psyop TPTB can come up with will be used. Don't believe everything you read or hear...If you think it is true contact your local Tea Party and see what they have to say....Most have a web sight...

What proof is on that letter?

Other than a 'discerning' Liberal 'news' magazine that uses labels meant to be derogatory?

What proof?

Don't see a TPM header on it.

Don't see nothing on it proving authenticity.

Well maybe I'm missing something here.

Where does the story link any Tea Party group to this ??

This is more likely an effort by ultra Liberals trying to pin something on somebody else.

Perhaps the policies of that area are failing in spite of themselves ?

I'm actually curious to know if it is possible to get access to this information online? Can one simply access a list of disabled people in their neighborhood from some resource?

If so not only would this be a gross violation of medical privacy - but a total boondoggle for the Social Security Administration.

ETA: From the brief research I've just done, apparently only a person who works for the government has access to this information. IE if this list is legitimate there is a strong implication that a government employee has violated the law by creating this list.

You mean one particular TEA party group. There are literally hundreds of different organic grassroots TEA party groups around the country.

That looks fake to me, it looks like someone photoshopped the words onto a picture of a crumpled piece of paper.

Just curious... why would anyone go to all the trouble of Photoshopping something they could just print out and crumble up with far less effort?

WTF lol??

Why is it you Leftists only understand two extreme concepts?

It's either gotta be massively taxed central planning or freakin Nihilism. Either an enormous centralized Federal government or Mad Max anarchy where everyone fends for themselves?

Maybe the guy's mom didn't buy him a printer for the basement?

Never know.

It happened actually.

Problem is this happens a lot with "Hate groups" such as Nazis or Black Panthers handing out "dead or alive" Zimmerman flyers...... They post "flyers" like this all the time.
