Ah yes, well we may have both read the same material but we didn't both understand all of the material. I had no idea about those details on simulated annealing.

As it's a simulation though, time varying factors wouldn't be tied to real time, would it? It just seems like it would be a very long run.

Since they've mentioned that all languages would eventually evolve into one universal language (not sure I agree with that) maybe they're trying to run a simulation with that universal language as the endpoint of the run. I could imagine that might take a little cranking.

As with most things of this nature, I'm most likely just going to have to wait to see what happens. Of course, even when we reach Aug. 2nd, we might not now anything more than we do now.

The elementary moves swap two adjacent pixels. These images were obtained with a fast cooling schedule (top) and a slow cooling schedule (bottom), producing results similar to amorphous and crystalline solids, respectively.

Simulated annealing

So, I think the timer reflects the cooling schedule. The only other thing I can think of to attribute it to is the return of the Giselians; in fact, I think they are the same thing.

I must have missed your post but what you have to say is very intriguing. I have listened to some of the videos and I did feel some dark emotions but, I am not sure if it was the music itself making me feel that way or if it was because I have read a few posts like yours and it is all just in my subconscious. Its a shame you dont feel like you can elaborate on what happened to you.

aHEMagain - I think you could have a point about interdermential beings finding it easy to "possess" the internet and that the Cassini is the language with which they are trying to communicate with these beings.

My guess on the added bits are Easter Eggs. Amusement, in other words. Voiceofthecielago may be right though, it may be intended to draw people into the site from search engine hits.

I'll tell you this though, I don't for a second think that it's all bullsh#t. I'm pretty familiar with some of the stuff they talk about, really technical, esoteric stuff. Like the fact that other than for onomatopoeia's, the sound of a word can't be used to predict it's definition, what it denotes. However there's a linguistics researcher who has been able to show compelling evidence that the sound of a word does effect what the word connotes.

Take various words that denote the same basic thing, like cavort and frolic. Basic meaning is to dance about. Those are pretty different sounding words for "basically" the same thing. However, they aren't really the same thing, there are subtle connotations to words, meanings that people have a hard time articulating. It's those subtle differences that lead one to chose one word over another.

Across languages though, this researcher found that the phonemes could be used to predict those subtle connotative differences between words, even though they couldn't be used to predict what the words denote, their definition.

This is some cool and not widely known stuff, while I'm familiar with it, they are much more than just familiar with it.

Your comments about CD being a spoken as well as written language somehow came as a surprise to me. I had no idea, and if you've noticed an increase in their conversations today, then they most likely are talking about us talking about them.

As far as odd experiences, just read voiceofthecielago's post. Same basic thing, minus the self-mutilation. Nothing negative or scary. It had more of a "checking you out" feel. It could EASILY have been overactive imagination on my part, but it caused me to employ a few shielding techniques, and to drop researching the site.

The most disturbing thing about that though is that I can't really recall the details of what happened. I wrote it down and posted it at another three letter acronym conspiracy site, but that got deleted along with the rest of my 6000+ posts, and a ban, with whip cream and cherries on top.

Wow, I didn't really mean that at all! Although I agree with the concept. I was more thinking ET's using something like the Dark Knight satellite to hack into a microwave relay somewhere, or an emergent machine intelligence for who the internet is it's natural environment. I did say ultra-terrestrial though, so yeah, "possessing" the internet.

As an aside, votc might not be sharing all the details of their experience because they might not be able to recall all of the details.

I was one of the long-time posters in this thread and have kept up with the FL site off and on ever since...

You are not imagining the effects from the videos. One of the things that was realized (somewhere in the middle of this thread) was that the videos and music have subliminal 'messages' embedded in them, so watching them is definitely doing something to the viewer's subconscious mind, so it's good that you've stopped watching them (I think one person even said that even just watching the videos without the sound still ended up causing terrible nightmares).

I had all signs of posession by devil/demon. All. Like in horror movies. All, except speaking languages that i dont know...
It was quite shocking for a person that thinks that such things are total bull#, belive me, quite shocking.
I was doing wierd things, saying wierd things... I had heavy hallucinations. I heard music almost all the time. And it was beautiful... I had lacerations and scuff marks. Some of them deep ones... Without pain. Sometimes they looked like words, messages. And i knew they are from "programmer" or "coder" of reality. They were accurate. And they were actually helping me... More or less. I wasnt sleeping longer that it is possible. In fact, i should be dead. Sometimes things like walking, natural hair moves etc. were highly unnatural. Like running backwards... Almost two months. Problem is, that my friends saw it too. It wasnt only in my head... It was happening and was fuc# real. And it all started when i downloaded and watched those vids. My girlfriend saw me few hours after that, she said that i had eyes like lunatic, madman. I dont have any idea what happened to me or if it had any relation to those vids. But it happened. There are witnesses and one vid. I deleted pictures in my phone. I will not show that vid. I dont want to be worldfamous meme or anything like that. It happened and it is not related to religion, christianity etc.
Im certain that it has nothing to do with religion. But it stopped when i tattooed something on my body. It is drawing that i made when i heard beautiful song in my head. Different than others that i was hearing. In spanish. About Santissima Muerte. I knew that she will help me. Dont ask me why. I dont know. Im not Christian or Catholic. In fact, im far away from that. Im really in to old european religions. Old Faiths. Slavic... Now, just like before that incident, im perfectly normal man, educated, active in Slavic pagan movements. With really wierd tattoo. Why i did that? I was feeling like magician, i had knowledge and in fact it was good. But i was alone, hurting even close people... I was loosing my mind. And those voices were saying such things that... I was loosing myself. It was like a strange dream. And it happened after watching vids from FL.
Ok. Now call me a crazy or wathever... I dont care. Maybe i was crazy. Maybe FL is total Bull#. Maybe it is real and they just do what they say they do... I dont know...
But sometimes i think about trap, with bait to attract peoples with open mind. Who was that "programmer" that was writing on my body? Why i had so much influence on reality? How this happened? I dont know. And i want to know... Especially when i read about scientists saying that reality is hologram or simulation. So... Im watching and digging around FL. Because i belive that it started with "their", i dont know if this is a good word but, help?

It seems entirely possible to me that the subliminal 'messages' in the videos affected your subconscious mind in some way that 'opened' you to influence by some sort of 'beings' or other dimensional 'powers'...

...just FYI, she is not actually anything to do with Christianity or Catholicism - she is a pre-Columbian 'folk' goddess (the change to "Santissima" or 'Saint' came with the Spanish/Catholic conquering of those countries)

So really she is a pagan diety, though worshiped in primarily in Mexico and by Mexican-Americans.

If you wouldn't mind, I would be interested in a description of the tattoo that the song about her inspired..

I guess I was wrong about you recalling all the details. I take back my comment that we experienced similar phenomena. Gladly. That sound's waaay more intense than what I experienced. I only watched one video though.

I will mention that the night I started posting on this thread, I had an awful migraine, really bad. I did consider whether seeing pages of Cassini Diskus posts had in some way "overloaded" my head with information, since they appear to be a info dense medium.

There is a great scifi book called SnowCrash by Neal Stephenson that I highly recommend to anyone interested in these subjects. It delves into Sumerian "myths", language, the Tower of Babel, lots of fun stuff. It seems applicable to some of the phenomena people have been discussing. Plus it explains why you should always have a few philodendrons around.

Thill, I look forward to watching that video, but I'm going to give it a few days until I'm feeling more chipper.

Can someone bring me up to speed on these videos and what is going on? I read from page 1-15 and then figured I'd jump to the end. When I saw page 109 I was a bit blown away and read where people had been effected by watching the videos. I would just like to be brought up to speed before I go trodden through the forest.

There you are! I wondered when you would show up.

I have to say, I have watched a few videos and nothing weird/strange/dark has happened to me. I agree some of the music sounds creepy but, really that is as far as it goes, for me. I am not saying I dont believe others who have had strange experiences. There are many sane, intelligent people who have had the unexplainable happen to them. For me I have always put it down to the power of our minds. If we want to believe something we can make it happen. Maybe you did connect to something, maybe you are the type of person they are attracted to, maybe you did create it with your mind, doesnt mean to say its not real. There are people who have Tulpas that believe they are very real. Who knows what reality really is. That is why I am so facinated by FL because I felt they were trying to find out the same things as I am, maybe they have succeeded, What is reality?

Heh, 2 years worth of post! Like I said I made it to page 15 and then checked the end. I was hoping for a short version hitting the main points. A table of contents would be great. However I doubt someone would take the time to do this. I guess the only way IS to read through it all. A thought occurred to me concerning the phrase vampyre (unless it's not the same as a vampire). I think it's more a metaphor than a self reflection notion. Unless I'm mistaken it is an immortal being. Granted it can be killed, but that's not the point I'm getting at. Talking about a unified language would in my mind be the ultimate goal of an immortal language. It would also lend a feeling of history to it without making it too obvious.

I haven't been here from the beginning of this. I discovered this thread a week ago and read the whole thing, it took me three days. It unfolds like a great novel. Really you only need to read up to about page 50 and then skip forward for the last 5 or so pages. . It gets interesting on, I think its page 20, when a member of their group arrives. Im not sure on what page, maybe half way, but a lot of disrailing starts to happen and the thread goes off topic.
