Yes, a religious figurehead, no not a government, yes the desoving of two time contraints, one in the 40s one the the 40s, celluloid, vs real time, fakery vs real time, combining the two ideaforms together, melding them. Lets say you take "Bambi" Walt Disney creation cartoon and met it with hunting standards 2012, recondition intent "fear loathing protaganant, blood lust and kill or be killed mentality". You remember the the one were he discussed the battles over power and how one lady laid a very powerful trap with the floor tiles..
That one has actually saved my rear before.. I walked into an office and saw the whole pattern my brain created from that image... Suffice it to say I walked through those same robbing the tiles of power scenario.. I also did no business with them after that..

There is more then one reason it is used as training procedure
The idea is to remove distractions.. You may not be able to get two or three months but you can remove them for an hour or more.. over time it adds up
(note: Remote Viewing has a procedure that works in magics as well.. List your issues you have to help depower them.. Write them to acknowledge them as part of clearing your mind.. this includes health and others)
Two Health and hygiene
This is self explanatory
For the Practioner, your health is maintainable and easy.. just follow the basics..
Three Pushing yourself to standards
every branch is different in name and cause but this is all part of the reasons
For the Practioner, you can set the standard and be ruthless in getting there with yourself
Four Responsibility
Guess what... you get it issued in truck loads.. Your required to be responsible or face the consequences
For the Practioner, Your free to do what you want but the results of the action you take are on you.
Five Accomplishment
You can do more then you think you can
FTP, With planning, practice, and execution the universe is your oyster

I don't know how I missed your post...but I wanted to respond because.. My daughter is fascinated with dragon magick. It's one area she wishes to delve into, and was mentioning it at home in real time before you did on this thread. That struck her as very "magical". I thought I'd pass that along.
When I was younger, I had a few books on the subject. But it never jived for me when I applied it to practice, so I traded those books for a very old edition of Blavatsky's "Secret Doctrine". Now I don't regret trading away, those books for "The Secret Doctrine", but I still wish I had those texts to pass along to my daughter.
