Thank you for the response Rip and thank you for your forgiving mindset. For many a year now, and more importantly our recent world affairs show a transparent cleansing if you will toward an open book paradigm. I understand previous need for caution, but I also believe we our on the cusp of being able to embrace the laws of physics and more importantly the laws of metaphysics openly and without fear of reprisal. My base of communcation is from Religion, Faith, and Theology, so I am generally within that area; and MaGicK is not their fruit of expertise; unless someone introduces the Quabala or numbers systems. Do you have an opinion as to why these disaplines dont overlap, of course they do because a moral set standard is the common denomenator. You cannot practice real magick without a deep understanding of whom you may be using, offending and more importantly endangering yourself. If you think one could confine themselves as a thinking person, would not always be hanging out in the "What did you have for Breakfast Thread'. I do have a question though, it seems two distinct personalities are responding as Ripcontrol, its very obvious and why is that.

Where do you come up with negative lob balls of information so (you seem to think) personal and are entirely untrue. If everyone were to organize their posts into one post it would come out as a rant not relating to anything said on this thread.

Ok, so it has been suggested to me to write my experience of earliest majic. Here goes. I was very interested in metaphysics in my adolescent years, 16 to 20, I was introduced to Carlos Casteneda around that time. What interested me most was a "real anthropologist" Carlos was interested in the necessity of mind altering natural plants in the use of ceremonial practices by native shamans: ie Brujos: ie Magi. Aka sorcerers. I read every book available at the time which counted five. What struck me the most was awareness of our surroundings and advanced awareness of our daily life. Which to me me was the stepping stone.


So I began by be conscious of my daily surroundings with a new vision. A clearer vision. One that had focused intent on a greater degree of the totality of my surroundings.

Well, it began to produce dividends.

I was walking to my friends house one day and I had to cross over a set of railroad and along the tracks was a set of Tele- lines. On those lines were two crows, now normally this would not have been out of the ordinary except at this particular moment my solar-plexes were churning like a food processor. I took notice and told my friend when when I reached his house that I thought it had something to do with him.

Over the next week, I had occasion to pass the same tracks two or three times and every time there were two crows in the same spot facing my friends house and the experience left me with the same uneasy feeling. A week had passed and in the same area but a little further away, lived another friend. We decided one day we wanted to jam on some music so I left his house to go home and retrieve my guitar, which took me over the tracks again. As I reached the tracks, I started feeling very anxious and queezy and as I reached the area of were the previous crows had been, there were two doves. In that moment I knew that what had given me the foreboding feeling feeling for the previous week was now over.

I continued on to my house and grabbed my guitar, and left to return to my other friends. I decided to stop by the first friends house on the way, which by the way took me over the tracks again and there was nothing. I smoked a lot of refer back in the day and he was always good for a hit.

So on arriving to his trailer I sat inside with his brother while my friend was changing out his hot water heater in his trailer. Then the phone rings, it's the Texas State Police, I answer the phone, They introduce themselves and ask if I'm familiar with a certain name related to an individual that they have questions about. I recognized the name. It was one of the names my friends dad used in his life. He did have aliases. Come to find out, my friends dad was found in Texas with his head blown off in the trunk of a car and left in a swamp. God's honest thruth. And there was a neighbor with him who completely disappeared. Hence the two crows. When the doves appeared, I knew that whatever was transpiring, had indeed taken place. My fears were confirmed in the most real of circumstances. This was the first of many stories I have that I would like to share to possibly smooth the way so you, the novice , do not need to stick your hand in the flame.

I have been blessed with very, very real experiences in my life to "know" not believe, that majic is very real. For those of you that discount it's possibility. Your scepticism will keep your vision at bay. Open the door to the possibility.

you bring up a good point over separation and togetherness.the best answer is first you have to know the components to know the system.I never said they were separate. it's why I get have given you re way the whole time is because something told me that beyond your rudeness they're laid an actual practitioner. you can review my post and no point have I said they were separate.

you seem to have instinctually made that leap of logic.

I wanted to respond to you last night, but decided to wait until after Ripcontrol responded first.

I most certainly agree that all belief sets overlap, and to have any true understanding of the 'bigger' picture, from a "standing on the outside and looking in" perspective - a true seeker of knowledge, studies all religions and belief sets. A sort of, built in, comparative religion's mindset. However, even further beyond that - there isn't any academic area that we shouldn't be absorbing knowledge from. Science, math, psychology, sociology, politics, - all have special sections in my own BOS. I don't know if this is typical of everyone who keeps a BOS... but in mine...

I've articles I've hand written on all sorts of mundane topics, that I think are important to know and understand. The US Constitution might not be magickal, but it's in my Book of Shadows. So is an article on genetic manipulation and my concerns. But then, so is the Ten Commandments from the Bible in my BOS....

I'm just an odd duck I guess...

Anyhow, I do agree. It's important to understand other belief systems and people. Some people just don't need to know that your a Witch. It could be for the benefit of keeping your job, or not offending your significant other's parents, or just out of respect that you know, that person can't handle the truth!

With your experience you listed I have always been curious.. Did you find that those definitions also changed on the varying traditions and the magic did as well?

Has it been your experience that with those changes, sometimes ecological niches appear sometimes in the human psyche causing huge differences in practices..


So the whole g/j and c/ck/k thing is because it entered certain vernacular and was adopted by others making a mark in the human mind..

As weird as that sounds.

I have always had mixed feeling on Dragons

The two practioners that I have met using them were quite..

ODD follows on some things, (I think it was the influence.)

The one goodman was made fun of but they never would sit in or on his couch. He told them it was his familiar dragons spot.. (a baby he said)

Now before he told me this.. I slept over and slept ing that spot... I quite clearly got that impression of a small red winged reptile..

I refused to move and all of a sudden a heavy weight was on my chest...

So I bit it.. And I bit the damn thing hard..
The weight left my chest

Ten seconds later my friend came out and wanted to know what I had done to his Dragon... I laughed and told him.. it made him laugh too..

I did apologize.. Never had problems again in that neighborhood either...


As for how I have characterized it..

Dragons

Are like other entities

own purposes not necessarily yours...
They will share knowledge
but keep an eye on the price along with terms and conditions...mind you they like to sneak them in as after thoughts

Most have clauses regarding Forbidden Knowledge and sharing of it


I always found that to be more of a sales gimmick then anything

Their is no such thing as Forbidden Knowledge

Their is however Restricted Knowledge.. And the penalties for that are usually told.. enforced by those who restrict the knowledge

a) restricted because of agreement with you

b) lack of X [supporting knowledge, understanding (your not ready in truth not manipulation), power levels]

c) they hoard it and do not want it known hence the sharing clause...

I will try your experiment on blessing x because of y, then again with and without.
Although I have done this experiment unknowingly already. once you pointed out the energy change before and after, I realized I have done this before and after within the last few months in the form or readings.

I will try again and see what happens with a blessing before and after.

Dragons...

I will tell you what I received in the form or a poem and drawing I did,
or at least I will share the last line.

"For it is not wise to let you live,
once you have the knowledge a dragon has to give."

The poem is gone, as I destroyed it.
but it was channeled for lack of a better way to explain it.

It really made me stop and think, enough to destroy my poetry at least.
