I'm pulling up stakes and moving on from this thread, some folks just prefer to believe fairy tales over reality.

When Zimmerman is found innocent and the riots start wherever they may, don't bother posting about how awful it is to see people destroying their own neighborhoods and stealing from small businesses that support the area that the rioters live in, after all, we should try to see things from their perspective, right?

Mr. Zimmerman was already angry at past burglars who go away, he had been personally effected. He was voted to run the Neighborhood Watch he knew people in the area. Only 20% of the neighborhood is black and the burglars were thought to be black youths.

He had already equated this boy with hood as like the ones he was after and hoping to catch.

I believe the people around Mr. Zimmerman would lie to keep him from going down for murder, this is a distinct possibility. My own son told me that if I ever had to shoot someone what I should do... I believe that self sustained injury or with the help of friends would be of great help in making you look innocent.

Since nearly all stars and agreement in this thread is with you I don't see why. You are the majority in almost total in your feelings here. Not one person has agreed with me, it is your space why leave.

He wont be found innocent. He was the aggressor, You closet bigots live in a double standard. If Zimmerman had been a black man chasing a white teenager down the street you would all say he was the agressor. You would call him a murderer and ask for his head. When a plain clothed stranger chases you down you defend yourself. Zimmerman is lucky that Martin wasn't armed. Stand your ground laws would have given Martin the right to face his attacker and shoot him.

Someone answer this please. Can a stranger chasing you for an unknown reason be perceived as an act of aggression?

I agree that it is all in how we look at it, and as none of us were there no one may ever know all of the details. I must say though that 70 yards from the house TM was staying at isn't exactly at his own backdoor but at least a few houses away. If he were really trying to get away and had not turned around to confront GZ he could have made it easily as he possessed the advantages of youth and speed.

How far away was he when Mr. Zimmerman started following? How far did he run after his friend said he should run since the guy was scary "creepy".? It must at least be clear where he was headed?

It seems so difficult to imagine someone having their life threatened (murder) without a weapon other then hands, unless one is a small person or a female or child.

You don't know until you've been there I guess.

I bet you'd think differently if some kid was dribbling your head on the sidewalk like a basket ball. That's what Zimmerman experienced before he pulled his gun.

Like I said, there are some things that we will never know, and even had TM lived we still might not have ever learned the truth. It has been my experience that truth most often lies somewhere in the middle, between the two opposing stories.

I did not necessarily have to be clear where he was heading, if GZ had recognized him as someone from the neighborhood he would not have been following TM to start with. I personally am of the opinion that if GZ suspected TM of being a burglar but did not KNOW such he should have followed him but kept his distance, waiting for the police to arrive to settle the matter. I also am of the opinion that TM, if he was afraid of being in danger, should have called the police instead of friends and ran like hell to the NEAREST house, beating on the door until someone came to his assistance rather than confronting GZ. Both parties made serious mistakes in this instance.

Black people living in urban areas have fear of just living to the next day, fear of not having any money to buy food, fear for their children safety and future, fear of unjust persecution (and they have had plenty).

All I know about George Zimmerman and Treyvon Martin is that one of them killed the other (and i'm not 100% sure I've got that right.) When a story is wound up WAY bigger than every other similar incident which goes mostly unreported, its done that way on purpose. Not nnecessarily the event, but the coverage. If only everyone would either ignore it - or see it for what it is...

How can you make that comment? If you have paid ANY attention to the trial you would know that not to be the case. Stop listening or reading bias media BS. You want to comment and not sound like a fool, actually watch the trial, you wont get a media spin. Zimmerman told the dispatcher he was going to follow him, dispatch said no, Zim then proceeded to go back towards his truck. Thats when he was attack by Trayvon. Zimmerman was no aggressor, multiple witnesses have placed Trayvon on top of Zimmerman beating on him. Need I remind you this case shouldnt even be in court. It was only picked up by the state after it was pressured by a false follow of Trayvon supporters. I hate to break it to you but Zimmerman will as he should.
