I'll ask you for the last time, WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE YOU USING?

With your lack of a credible source, the use of "YHWH" in witchcraft, "Yahweh" meaning "moon god of perversion" in Hebrew

Where in God's green world did you get that definition from?

It's obvious. I'm using the Bible. Why do you want to be so evasive about your source?

Apparently you didn't notice that I changed the wording to reflect him speaking of himself instead of another entity like it actually says...

Yes, I noticed that you changed the original wording, but it doesn't matter.

I used actual scriptures to prove my point, but you didn't counter those.

So, answer the original question and tell me what your point was behind changing the wording or even posting scripture at all if you weren't going to back it up with an argument to prove your point.

I didn't need to counter the passages you used... because he is clearly speaking of a person that is not himself...

Do you recall any passage in the gospels that speaks of Jesus "glorifying himself"?

Strong's Concordance H5773.

Strong's H5773 - `av`eh

Glorifying Jesus means to glorify God. When you glorify one, you glorify the other. Jesus is God.

Revelation 21:23

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

The Bible versions that I use do not have "YHWH" in them.

Jesus is not God... but lets not go there because we both know we already disagree on that point...

Jesus does not glorify himself in any passage.... but if he is the same person as the "holy spirit" he says "he will glorify himself"...

Thus, he can not be the same person...

You do realize that the word "av'eh" is only used ONCE in the entire Bible, in this particular verse?

Isaiah 19:14

14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

So, you've obviously mistaken this word for something that it was not.

Hey, if you and the OP want to go the way of the Israelites that didn't understand who Jesus was, so be it.

Im pretty sure its safe to say most of them had no idea who Jesus was...

Im surprised you haven't noticed considering it says he came on to his own and they knew him not...

I believe in most Bible translations, YHWH is referenced as LORD in all capital letters in the English translations.

That was because they weren't following God and listening to him.

So is that an open declaration that the Ancient religion that Christianity is based around was not following God?

Sounds about right to me...

That pretty much sums it up. They haven't been going through thousands of years of persecution and being hated by their neighbors for nothing.

Sure...

So who or what were they following then?

I'll go even one step further .... If one believes that Revelation is relevant at all ....

Seriously ... even the early church (up to the year 500) mostly rejected Revelation.
It has nothing to do with salvation. It may or may not be visions from God. It
very likely could just be pius hallucinations by an old man who had a poor diet and
a lot of stress in his life.

No one knows what Revelation means.
No one knows IF it means anything at all.
Revelation = whatever.

Yet, at the same time, it's also the only book that specifically states this...

Revelation 22:18-19

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Most likely they're still being deceived as to who God really is by modern day Pharisees.

Basically, that their God of the OT and the Jesus of the NT aren't related, when they are.
