I am in fact quite disturbed by a comment on BBC news channel, that "sources said they were of Muslim appearance."(of the attackers)
That sounds to me a generalisation in the extreme-almost on the level of how the 3rd reich put Jews into a general basket of evil, the beeb should hang their heads in shame for that comment IMO.
However it does appear to be what I discussed with Corruption Exposed, yet hoped I was wrong earlier in the thread.

Another sad day for Britain.

1. That looks like no Muslim.

2. That looks like no Somalian.

3. That looks like no Afghan.

Conclusion? Certainly someone of African origin - but we cannot be certain that he is an immigrant, or that he is a religious extremist. Indeed, we can't be certain of much just yet.

Dude. Somalia is in Africa.

He doesn't really look Somali though...

1. That is incorrect. We just don't know yet.
2. That is correct.
3. That is correct.

4. Could be from Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Mali, Mauritania ........

5. Let's just wait & see.

What do you and other use mean "Doesn't look Muslim?" That doesn't make sense to me. Does someone have a dress or act a certain way to be something.

And I have had enough of racist bigots who know not of what they speak. But yet they speak loudest.

islam isn't a race. So get your facts right.

Please forgive me for butting in but he did also say bigoted which would fall under religious discrimination, I also use racist/bigoted in the same sentence as these elements usually go hand in hand. But in your defense, people do tend to use the term "racist" when they speak about religious groups when the correct term is actually "bigoted".

Race, religion, and politics have been dividing humanity for ever and some of the interactions in this thread are a perfect example of that.

We need to unite in order to rid the world of these extremists.

There are good and bad in all groups and until all groups are able to put their differences aside, this cycle will continue.

I am not taking sides here, just voicing my opinion.

Okay, I will step off my soap box now.

The BBC just confirmed that he is one of the attackers .
It looks like that's the footage they filmed themselves .

why the debate on his the perpetrators ethnic origin?

it looks like based on the information that we have that this was the work of a radical Islamist, their ethnic origin is not important at this stage. we should be discussing what has happened and the response to events.

Has anyone else other than the man on Twitter reported that the victim was beheaded?.
I've seen 6 different interviews now from witnesses who where there and non of them have reported a beheading. I'm hoping the man on Twitter was wrong, not that it makes the situation any better of course. My heart goes out to this poor mans family.

Just my initial thought. You can usually differentiate between non-Muslim and Muslim Africans.

Yes, it seems like that. Quick question. Was the victim Muslim? I just discovered this story on Facebook. Crazy!

I don't think running over a headless victim will worsen the situation.

The victim was in the middle of the road, on the picture there the attacker is on the pavement.

We can be certain that you need geography lessons
Here is a list of countries were the majority are muslims

Indonesia,Pakistan,Nigeria,Bangladesh,Egypt,Iran,Turkey,Algeria,Morocco,Iraq,Sudan,Afghanistan,Malaysia,
Uzbekistan,Saudi Arabia,Yemen,Syria,Kazakhstan,Niger,Burkina Faso,Mali,Senegal,Tunisia,Guinea,Somalia
Azerbaijan,Tajikistan,Sierra Leone,Libya,Jordan,United Arab Emirates,Kyrgyzstan,Turkmenistan,Chad,Lebanon
Palestine,Kuwait,Albania,Mauritania,Oman,Kosovo,The Gambia,Bahrain,Comoros,Qatar,Western Sahara,Djibouti
Brunei,Maldives,Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,Mayotte.

Now all colours of the HUMAN race are covered by that list so how exactly does a muslim look

Maybe it's the difference from where we live. I have seen Muslims and other religious people dressed in suburban or whatever term you would use to say non religious garments. Like they dress like you and me.

A beheading attempt would not surprise me nor would i be surprised if this soldier turned out to be Muslim this is similar to a plot in 2007 that i was talking about on the previous page.

I think it would be quite difficult to behead someone in broad daylight but who knows information is still coming out so it is possible.

I've had enough from you Apologists.... always sticking up for the Muslims whether they are Radical or not.

No, sticking up for innocent people that you seem to want to attack for their religious beliefs.
The fact that you have stars for your opinion seems to show that my worries about nationalist extremism are justified.

I'm not sticking up for any extremists, whether they're British Nationalists or Muslim Extremists. The fact that this is what you think about someone being logical and moderate proves my point about being concerned.

And thanks for now including "apologists" in your attacks too.

See how quickly this brand of nationalism becomes more and more diverse? First it's just the religious group you want to attack, then it spreads to other people who you feel are "protecting" them too...

It's always a conspiracy on here

Not always, but conspiracies are quite common.

This is in fact a conspiracy. I can guarantee that as well by simply providing the definition of conspire which is where the word conspiracy comes from.

con·spir·a·cy/kənˈspɪrəsi/ [kuhn-spir-uh-see] noun, plural con·spir·a·cies.

1. the act of conspiring.
2. an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.
3. a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
4. Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
5. any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.

dictionary.reference.com...

Even though NONE of us know exactly what happened yet, it is 100% certain that a group of people have conspired to commit this act...therefore it is in fact a conspiracy.
