Many people are into all kinds of stuff. Its all pretty much the same just the verbiage and the secret handshakes are a different, there is little difference between these groups and the free love hippie communes that were around in the raging 60's, its very popular with females I have heard. Its basically just another fetish that people have at different times in different ages, that changes from time to time as people get bored with it and move on to other like things, you know to spice things up, literally that is what those type of people do, move from one thing to another and make a big deal about it then come up with new rules and new handshakes to get into the club. So whether you have swingers or free love hippies or satanic sex cults, or those people who are into playing dress up whatever there called S&M or whatever, not even sure what the terms are for it now a days or there categorizations. Its all basically the same sort of thing under different names, depending on the type of person and what fetish they would have.

But ya, nothing mysterious about it, back in Rome at there peak they had these type of things the Dionysus cults, in ancient Greece back when they were in there golden age they pretty much did it all, they even had cults were they had sex with animals such as bulls, they even had so much time on there hands and did it all that they got bored of even those cults/clubs and they would go into trances and flop around on the ground like fishes just because they could and because they got bored of all the others, and because it was the thing to do. Back in ashur females when of age and if they wanted to be part of the goddess cult had to stay at the foot of the temple and have sex with the first stranger that came up to them, so ya, its nothing new and that to was just one of many cults and clubs people have build throughout the ages all of it is merely just outlets for there natures and human nature in general. So ya there is a bunch of stuff out there, and all kinds of cults, and all kinds of different sex cults, its nothing new, its merely the newest iterations on old things, its just fetishes, some just have stories and "mysterious" things going on as part of there fetish, but really its just people being people.

As for sex cults! there are sex cults everywhere from all walks of life, usually when famous people do it its called a club or cult, and when everybody else does it its called...Well its not called anything, its just something they do, you can find those types of groups on the internet its not like there hard to find. I personally dont prescribe to it...But you know, whatever floats peoples boats. And that is really whats it's about, some people just have a fetish for these sort of things and the whole "ohh its so mysterious" cult which only a few are part off. It just part of the over all thing that gets some of them off, just like foreplay gets other people off, same thing only a different motif, and some are attracted to power or whatever the new hip thing is, and everything and everyone in between with whatever gets them off ...Nothing mysterious about the whole thing at all.

I have been reading up about this society and it seams that Mr Aleister Crowley a poet an magician pretty much had a vision in Egypt and wrote the book of Law and made the religeon Thelema (Th LEE Ma) which is like big part in the organisation I wouldn't go as far to say that the book of law is a bible since there are a few books I believe.

One thing as struck me as cool is when you leave they give you a letter of congratulations because the principle of this organisation is to be free, also you don't have to pay any money to go up the ranks so its already one up on Scientology.

Also: Morality and "ethics" have little or nothing to do with how many old books you read, or how much / how little sex you have. Morality and ethics are rooted in how you treat other people, when no one will ever know one way or another.

Who were the ones that first left their first estate as spirit sons of God to materialize human bodies and cohabit with women, something that is against nature? Satan has denigrated sex. Promoted sex outside the marriage bond between a man and a woman, and he also encourages sex between people of the same sex. It is all quite demonic. There is no doubt that demons are behind the porn industry, and the "sexual revolution" where they spread their spirit, or mental bent to mankind alienated from God*.


As for Aliester Crowly? His followers should pay attention to his end. he died destitute and alone, with a body filled with disease, and a mind that had gone to waste.

To assume that someone else knows or not knows something of which you know nothing is the height of hubris. And that is your faulty. Your prejudice gives you away. One would do better to know the person before they judge them.

Love me some satanic sex cult. I haven't read the entire thread yet (just the juicy parts) but for the media to call something like the OTO satanic is missing the point by about 180 degrees. I'm not a member, although I play one on the radio, but I assume the love and caring in such a group, both for each other and for humanity and the world in general, is very high.

And I don't know if that old joke by Crowley about sacrificing thousands of small boys has been addressed and explained on this thread, but he was talking about masturbation (either way, it shocked the public of his time, thus once again pushing the envelope so we could now have our time).

Since I'm here I should explain I like Crowley's work, as well as dozens of other teachers, writers, and thinkers, and my user name comes only partially from his (it was originally, on another website, a play on "Alice in Chains"). As I said on another thread, it's too bad the name Aleister isn't given to more children, it's a fine poetic name, and Crowley himself changed his name to it.

You know what you were told, but you don't know the truth. Have you looked into what each of the groups you lump into "the occult" actual believe, what they practice?

Wiccans for example. Or "witches", as some call them. Do you know what they believe? Are they being led by the devil?

At least you asked me what I understand. That shows wisdom on your part. Of course my wisdom is not of any import.

How can it be explained easily? Hmmm, take for example a dollar bill. One of the main functions of the Secret Service is to prosecute forgery of U. S. currency. And there are tons of forgeries out there.

What do you think is the best way to determine if a dollar bill is a forgery or not? Is it necessary to study each forgery individually? Or would it be more prudent to study the real one. Then when a possible forgery comes along you can compare it to the real one?

So it is not necessary to study each field of the occult to find out which one is true or not. Just as it is a worthless, and unnecessary endeavor to try and study each of the thousands of the world's religions to try and find which one has truth.

All one has to do is go to the source of truth and study it. Then it can test all the others against the truth to see whether it holds up or not.

Now, when I mentioned that the occult is in the purview of Satan the Devil is is not without some understanding.


The occult is controlled by unseen spirit forces. Now since we are beneath the spirit realm, and spirits are of a higher nature and intelligence than us, how can we be sure who from that realm is telling the truth and who is not?

Certainly God has our best interests at heart, and he is in the spirit realm. He is a trustworthy source who has our best intentions at heart.

Now God himself has inspired the words of truth. So those who read it DO have truth, understanding and discernment.

In fact God calls his words healthy:

(1 Timothy 6:3, 4) . . .If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, 4 he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased. . .


In fact the man of God is equipped completely to understand the nature of Satan and his attacks against his faith, including the allure of the occult:

(2 Corinthians 2:11) . . .that we may not be overreached by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his designs.


Any teaching that uses Jehovah's name disrespectfully, and that denies that Jesus is the Christ is from Satan the Devil:

In actually God's word tells us what to do with books on the occult:

And they calculated together the prices of them and found them worth fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 Thus in a mighty way the word of Jehovah kept growing and prevailing.



Now I realize that when dealing with people who dabble in the occult or believe it is not wrong, will discredit the Bible, because the Bible condemns it.

But you ask from what authority do I speak. And it is the authority of God's word. You on the other hand must speak from the authority of your own understanding, and many, even on this board, speak on the authority of spirits whom the have come into contact with by their occult practices. And so many blindly believe everything they are told. And almost always all the messages from the spirit world they receive deny Jesus, and slander the Bible and Jehovah's good name.

Who are you to believe?

Jehovah hates spirits tic practices and condemns them in no small terms:

And we are also told that those who practice spiritism have no place in God's kingdom:

(Revelation 22:15) . . .Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone liking and carrying on a lie.’


In another place we are told that Satan is the ruler of the world:

(1 John 5:19) . . .but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.


Now you may choose to reject God's word as it rightfully is, the word of God and not man's. Almost all who dabble into the occult and know the Holy Scriptures condemn it, either have to accept the truth, and turn away from the filthy practice, or they must excuse it away in their mind by forming a hatred for the truth, and deny God's word.

But then again God's own word reveals that person's heart condition, for it is alive, and it exerts power. It is as a mirror when one peers into it, his own heart is revealed to him. It is able to penetrate to the dividing of the bones, and reveal the true intentions of a person's innermost thoughts, his seed of desire and motivation, his heart:

Jeez, they brought all those books together and burned them? What a loss, and what a great library that would have made. Whew, book burners should have stuck around long enough to read Ray Bradbury.

And who what now? Jesus was one of the biggest occultists in history, and a student and teacher of nonviolence which, when it was finally passed down and understood thousands of years later, changed the world and is continuing to heal the world. I can see we have a bit of a disconnect right off the bat. I don't believe the Bible is a history book, but more of a guide to living a good life. I believe it was written by man.

There is nothing I can say in a few sentences that will convince you of anything, but I invite you to approach others with questions and wonder instead of certainty they are going to hell. I have learned so much about other religions by just being open minded and asking questions.

I believe Jesus taught us to love each other and love his father. I like that message.
And I don't think that I have the ability to judge anyone since I am no angel. I just hope God has as good of a sense of humor as I think he does.
