2.) There was no Martial Law. Had there been, people would have been arrested for not staying inside like MANY did not.

Martial law does not automatically come with a provision stating people must get arrested all the time everywhere.

Perhaps you don't actually know what Martial Law is, or what it actually infers.

It has a lot more to do with "Military", than it has anything to do with "arrest counts".

I sort of suspect that the large majority of Bostonians were not interested in leaving their houses and having picnics today. This was not because they were afraid of government retribution. It was because they were afraid of, you know, a terrorist on the loose.

The purpose of the lockdown was to ensure that the few people who a) hadn't been following the news; b) were likely to interfere with the arrest of a terrorist; and c) were afraid they would miss class/work all understood that the smartest and safest thing they could do was stay out of the way.

Boston PD didn't do it to control the gullible masses and reign over the earth. That's why they ended it at 6 p.m. Maybe I live a sheltered life, but are there a lot of martial law orders that allow people to spend all night doing anything they like?

The greatest thing to fear in all of this is *NOT* weather or not it was a false flag.. but rather the opportunistic politician willing to show no shame, no restraint in capitalizing on the fear of the people to push through insane policies with no regard and no honor to those good people lost and injured.. while the media likewise milks everything for all its worth there by aiding this whole terrible mess

the basics are.. youve just had "PROOF" that conventional civillian law enforcement in all its colours and letters of the alphabet prove to be ineffective, those are not my thoughts but ones I have no doubt will be capitalized on in next few weeks..

if 2 men who wernt the ever popular demonized "arab terrorists" were able to put 9000 civillian police and associated people in their place, while previously just a few days ago commiting a bombing of a marathon using little more than common household cooking vessels and a little explosives.. with no clear motive or political reason was able to do all this.. despite the best efforts of civillian law enforcement agencies...

then its a sad day to have to consider that someones going to step upto the plate on the political landscape, and indeed deem that there needs to be "better" security to people in general.. meaning a more militaristic approach to the general good people of the USA..

make no mistake. people are scared.. and when people are scared they'll run to whatever shows a glimmer of hope.. irrespective of what that might be.. when sane minds in a calmer time wouldnt


these men as I understand it.. came to america for a better life as far as I understand.. they lived in the country for 10 years?

they were white.. didnt stand out.. and yet were able to do all this with nothing more than household cooking vessels and some creative weaponry while emulating a rather good game of grand theft auto..

what can you look forward too? some group with extreme xenophobic views being elected on the promise of safety, in a country of migrants. where a large majority of the good people you work with came from somewhere else on this earth and has a story to tell about why they moved to your country for a better life..

perhaps increased militarization of internal security forces.. eg suplimenting civillian police agencies with more military styled organizations created in the wake of this fear to "protect" people while taking away ones lifestyle in general and way of life.. because someones likely to point out how ineffective your finest police were in the face of 2 men and use it for political gain and policy change...?

and perhaps more alarming to some people.. the "preppers".. mostly people who wish to ensure their safety of loved ones in time of crisis stockpiling food, medical stocks and weaponry..will now the painted as domestic terrorists and flavor of the month to demonize

so I put it forward.. while these terrorist fools might not have got their desired gain, if there ever was one.. the after-effects of their actions.. are going to run incredibly deep in the western world.. and thats a worse danger than any terrorist attack...

Do you not feel that when an event such as today, that local Law Enforcement needs help in locking down an area as to catch someone who has been tossing bombs all around the city ?
I get the feeling you rather decide for yourself whether or not to go outside when this sort of thing happens. Maybe putting yourself and or family at risk but that risk is up to you. I get it. You can make your own decisions. But there comes a time when that decision is stupid and you need to be told that it is and to stay put.

In my eyes I see this as a way to get us to change our minds about gun control! Right after the public denounces gun control and look what happens! Well I was expecting a shooting but any fear based attack will due I suppose!

I suspect the cost to giving up our only defense against a police state will be more terror, less privacy, more unreasonable laws and less freedoms! Traditionally, I like to keep an open mind and not be judgmental until the facts are presented. On this case, the obvious is obvious. No conspiracy theory here.

* Older brother is a socially incompatible misfit
* Younger brother looks up older brother
* Younger brother appears to have chemistry and math skills very valuable to terror "recruiters"
* Older brother, maybe unknowingly had formalized ideals growing up in his country
* Older brother does not understand USA traditional values and not being socially accepted
* Older brother fails as a boxer, unable to prove anything to anyone
* Older brother "finds himself" in the teachings of an Islamic radical from Australia
* Older brother uploads extremist videos to YouTube to promote his views
* Younger brother still looks up to older brother

All of the above makes them very qualified and attractive to terror recruiters.

Somewhere along the line (most likely older bro) establishes a connection with a terror network. Using the same technique (just like a cult), they throw their arms around him and make him feel that they do value him and that the problem is not him -- the problem is western values. Terror connection changes tone by using reverse psychology and plays them down (once again, they feel no respect). Both brothers want to earn their respect and dream up something spectacular to show their faithful alliance to the terror cause. At this point, little do they know that they are dancing with the devil.

Now I'm speculating that they did have a backup plan where maybe their newly found "friends" would pick them up and drive them across state lines to Canada. New friends find things "hot" and bail out leaving the two brothers to fetch on their own. Or maybe they thought that they had such a perfect plan, that they would not get caught and leave on their own once things cool down.

There is NO conspiracy here, no country to invade, no federal contracts to be awarded. Just because there might be a conspiracy somewhere else in the world, does not mean that everything that is black and white is a conspiracy.

I'm aware that this is a conspiracy site and it makes for some interesting reading, food for though and very interesting, intelligent and well-founded opinions from some members.

But not on this particular case.

Case update: Younger brother was captured alive a couple of hours ago. Let's hope they can extract info and then throw him into a hellhole at Florence ADX as opposed to enjoying the Caribbean sun and breeze with his kind at Gitmo.

Martial Law isn't predicated on death tolls though.
It's based on who controls the situation, and through what methodology they employ to achieve that control.

So although a nice fluffy post to rub my face on, it's not really relevant to the political legality of martial law in conjunction with the highly questionable means by which the MSM presents information in order to manipulate and control it's viewers.
