100's injured and maimed and three dead at one of the most traditional events in Boston. Excellent law enforcement response nabs the culprits within days. I must be mentally ill around here.

Woah, it's crazy that anyone would predict the gender and age with such accuracy. I really thought for sure it would be a middle-aged or senior-citizen female. Out of any demographic, teenage males tend to have the best judgment and the least violent tendencies.

So the price of sacrificing your way of life to hide from terrorists, is just a few people?

I don't put a price on my way of life or on people.
They are both priceless and not replaceable nor are they bargaining chips for politics.

I heard a slip of the tongue on NPR radio in the car about 2:30 this afternoon that negotiators were talking with him. I found it very weird and took a break from the info on this case at this point. About 6pm I turned on the TV and heard that a negotiator was on the scene. I again took a break, came on now to ATS to find out he is captured.

Yep here in the USA. We support torture, indefinite detention, war, mass prisons, spying on everyone, etc etc. The list goes on and on.

Our rights will not be restored until all of this anti-human rights legislation is overturned and thrown out, and all of these criminal types in the US, State, and local gov'ts will need to be charged with high crimes and face justice before the American people by law.

That will be a start of restoring freedom, but it will take much longer and harder work to finalize it. Could take up to 30 years we are so deeply brainwashed into state propaganda at this point.

One guy out of two who has killed and injured many using violence far outside of the scope of normal crime. This pair have brought true Islamic terror to non actors. If your right to wander about has been impeded for a day or black clad men have frightened your neighbours then please explain how you would better deal.

When people say "we don't negotiate with terrorists," they mean we don't compromise or barter with them. They don't mean we shoot them dead when they pose no immediate lethal threat. Far from being criminal, shooting him would have been a clear violation of the Fifth Amendment (as well as pretty ineffective in getting information about the bombings).

last night on CNN while showing the naked prisoner who looks like older bro 1, who aparently also died in a hail of gunpowder, I saw the same scene fron straight in showing number 2 surrounded by several bystanders in MIT jackets..I thought it was from MIT itself, and I was asking ( couldn't find the pic) how was it the kid was still on the prowel dressed the same as he was dressed at the bombing...
