I wasn't sure if I was being overly suspicious or not. I tried to talk myself round, thinking perhaps he had a bra on or something.

My thoughts exactly, he appears to be just a security concious citizen. If i was in crowds that big and compacted i'd be wary of the "pickpocket" and "bagdipping" types myself. Im sure Boston has its fair share like any city.

This is perfectly plausible. But based on everything I've just read and seen in this forum, I could just-about rule-out everyone "suspected" in this picture. Nothing seems consistent based on these pics and the final backpack remains. I don't think anyone of these folks was the actual perp.

Just a thought...the information regarding the "Arrest" was that news broken before the news of these photographs?...Im thinking along the lines of the anouncement of the arrested suspect being withdrawn because these photographs have surfaced....Does anyone know the timing of both events?

Boston bomb suspect in custody: CNN Reuters – 3 hrs ago (Reuters) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings based on security video that showed a man depositing a bag at the bomb scene before the blasts, CNN reported on Wednesday, citing U.S. and Boston law enforcement sources.

They have "one" of them!

From the link in the OP, I find this post that was imaged to be particularly interesting. Look for a raid to ensue tomorrow, if that occurs and the suspect is a young guy in his late teens early 20's along with all of the other descriptors stated in this Anonymous Post...well...that would be awfully coincidental wouldn't it?

Indeed was my first thought as well medical bags issued looks like that one guys is marked #21 or so in white athletic tape in the handle. Issued because there are cardiac meds or something in there that can't be in one's "personal" bag all the time.

I am sure you have a black bag of your own all of our SF medics had theirs too; customized and individual not issued for a shift/event... like these seem to be.

Your possibly right in thinking its none of these, i'd definately rule out the military looking dudes and maybe the bearded guy. The younger two middle eastern looking men with backpack and sports bag i couldnt be sure of though, i get an uneasy feeling about them, dont know why i just do.

Maybe, but where is the gray strap or the white patch (with no apparent design) on the guys bag? This would only make sense if the strap and patch were a misinterpration of the backpack remains. Also, is it possible that the guy simply was holding his backpack or had it placed on the ground instead of on his back during the photo? Maybe he gave it another 3rd person? He could still be a suspect, but we need more to go on than just "feeling" (though I can see why you believe it maybe these guys). I won't stoop to calling you racist---because really I know you're not and we don't need to drag the convo in that direction. ;-)

anyway so far we know that its probably a few people, radicals and that they are quite smart, and able to lead a double life with ease .

I hope they dont find some " freak lone nutcase" and set him up. Because they cant find the genuine article.

This is going to sound a bit stupid because we only have pictures to go on, but they seem a little uneasy and out of place, like theyre trying too hard to fit in. It will sound stupid because of what we have to go on but its just the feeling i get.

I heard them say on Headline News, the suspect had a white hat on. Anyone else here this? One of the guys in the photos has a backpack and white hat on.

Now they are saying a white hat being worn backwards, white sweatshirt and black jacket. This is who they would like to interview.

Sounds like the guy handcuffed in the Boston commons..there are photos of him everywhere. He's on his knees, cuffed with arms behind his back.
