i don't think anyone has said NK did this.....i think the general consensus is that they are one of the parties it could be blamed on. and given the shots we've seen with so much blood on the pavement, that sort of thing could EASILY be used for propaganda about how brave korean operatives gave their lives to strike a massive blow to the U.S. Imperialists. and they can easily lie to the people about how many fatalities there were, because they have no way to fact-check.

so it's possible.....it's kinda like how they play up shelling a beach with nobody on it, or launching missile tests as huge victories, and lie to their people about how powerful they are.

COULD they do it, most likely...DID they do it? probably not...i'm just explaining how a case could be made for it..

Thought about flash powder too, but it being sensitive in nature would be like playing Russian roulette given the size of a 6 liter pressure cooker.

It's not all that unstable. The only thing you have to worry about with it is static discharge.

Whoa, I just heard on FauxNews that someone suspects that it was Acetone peroxide. Now that stuff is unstable!

Updating speculation from my earlier post on page 47...

1) I would suggest that the likelihood of the two explosions being 'domestic terrorism' is around 75% to 80%.

2) Not politically motivated. No political or genuine terrorist organisation will claim responsibility for this attack. Especially not domestic militias or extreme groups, as their demise would quickly follow

3) The devices were not specifically designed to kill, but more to maim and damage. I would not be surprised if this was a decision based on the limited amount of explosive material the bomber or bombers (I would go with 2 bombers) could get their hands on? The supplemental use of loose objects such as nails and possibly ball bearings, seem to bear this out.

4) The bomber or bombers will be young, probably between 18 and 25 and still in college or school, and most likely caucasian, but are not racially or ethnically motivated. If not apprehended soon, I should think they will make another attack, probably at another sporting event, but seek to cause greater harm. They are learning their trade by their own lay research and need to be caught rapidly.

5) Although there is a level of sophistication to the makeup of the bombs, the attack itself was amateurish and feels very homegrown. The authorities will not find professionals involved in this.

6) I feel this was a grudge attack against society in general, targeting no one in particular, but anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time.

7) Part of the bomber's or bombers' satisfaction will be gained from the publicity and alarm generated. They will feel powerful and in control of others, more so after the explosions than before, and they know that because of him/them people will be feeling anticipatory fear as they go about their daily lives. This is Columbine without guns.

All this is nothing more than my own speculation, so don't take it as fact!

Erm, you might want to be a little more cautious about the information you post. Have you heard of the notion of being "guilty" of "handling and disseminating" information "likely to be useful" to terrorists?

Technically, you've done just that by posting the chemical composition of a device, however tame you think your response is.

No, you misunderstand me.
There are plenty of people who research and discuss these things, and it's part of their normal routine and life. If they were investigated and found to be a chemistry student, or a journalist, then maybe it would be different. But you are posting this on a conspiracy website, one that we know is being monitored, and directly after a horrible attack in the USA potentially using the exact method you have stated.

You are therefore going to be in a clear minority of people related to language being flagged up right now by the authorities investigating this and working to prevent any potential future threats.

It might be common knowledge to thousands of people, but in a population of billions you are in an extreme minority of individuals currently listing such things and detailing the composition on a forum.

If you don't know how this makes you a focus for attention, right now, with everything going on, I would suggest you are very naive.
