What's sad is that the same Paul referenced above also says that the people running around trying to keep "ordinances" are WEAKER in the faith than the Christian who knows their freedom in Christ. I don't t care how long a woman's hair is, it's her hair. I don't care if she wears pants or dresses, I care where her heart is.
We never should judge people on their outward appearances, but make righteous judgments about the content of their speech.

Good point, though one has to bear in mind that, under some people's theologies, the teaching of an Apostle is given more weight than the teaching of Christ

The condition of a person's heart shows on the outside through their actions including appearance.

I'll grant you the "half naked" bit, but how is a woman wearing pants not holy? Is holiness granted by a dress and taken away by a pantsuit? You're drifting back into your "magic spells and rituals" theology, if you think so.
It has to do with wearing that which pertaineth to a man for a man and that which pertaineth to a woman for a woman.
"Magic spells and rituals" seems to be what you say to everything that you disagree with.

The apostles taught the same as Christ. Therefore their teachings are given equal weight.

Actually, Jesus said to not judge on appearance.

Well, I'm with NOTurTypical on that one -- do you wear the robes and sandals that the Apostles wore? I don't recall Peter wearing long sleeved shirts, dress slacks and loafers.

No, I note your connection to it when you become too attached to the notion that words, names or actions control the supernatural. I don't think your dislike of women with short hair has any magical undertones, but I do think that your belief that having short hair prevents a woman from "being holy" or being saved does have those undertones.

The apostles taught the same as Christ. Therefore their teachings are given equal weight.
Except for baptizing in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Long sleeved shirts, dress slacks, and loafers are not the only types of clothes that pertaineth to a man.
It is not that short hair prevents a woman from being holy, it is being unholy that causes her to cut her hair.

Neither Jesus, nor the apostles taught that.
Are you sure that Jesus didn't instruct His followers to baptize in that manner?

It's funny that we somehow need an esoteric understanding of everything Jesus said.
He told us not to judge appearances, and said it's what comes from a person's heart that defiles them.

You seem to be stuck in the opinion that we teach long hair makes a woman holy. We do not teach that.
