I have stopped using google because some of their business
practices and privacy policies bother me very much, and by
the way they didn't commit suicide, apparently Christians think
they are the majority of the planet...... what a closed minded
way to think of the world, religion is such a brain washer.......

Dunno why they would wanna commemorate that man anyway,
there again our own president thinks its ok to have a personal
hit list, and that he should be able to assassinate Americans with
no trial, the one before that invaded a country on false pretenses,
took away tons of freedoms which opened the door for even
more to be taken...... sad thing is its getting harder and harder
to find good people in any governments.

It's ridiculous to stop using Google (the best search engine of our time) over something so insignificant. It would be self destructive.

Yes, this is fanatic.

fa·nat·i·cism (f -n t -s z m). n. Excessive, irrational zeal.

Google made a stupid choice. They made a decision to basically call 2 billion people stupid publicly.

That's because 2 billion people are stupid

Okay, okay. For crying out loud, Google is a search engine.

Who gives a cracker about what the Google Doodle of the day is? Unless it's fun and interactive, a lot of people I know don't care at all, and just need to search whatever they want to search.

Can we just all pull our wedgies out and move along?

Nope Christians have to feel persecuted for some reason and when they can not find anything to whine about they look deeper to find the smallest thing to say "Poor us we are being persecuted why God why?".
Like I said far bigger things going on and the Christians ignore all that and turn on google.

All because they honoured a real person, says a lot really, doesn't do any good for the Christian stereotype.

"real person"
"actually existed"
Yes, thank you for clearing up for me that there is no dismissiveness or lack of respect toward Christians. You, yourself, are a shining beacon of secular tolerance, kindness, and sensitivity toward the beliefs of others. Certainly there could never have been an intended slight of any kind toward Christian belief and their deeply held feelings toward their savior - a real person who actually existed.

Why should I have respect for the Christians here that are displaying such a huge lack of respect for the person being honoured on Google? Generally I'm very respectful, not when people are being this childish and self absorbed. It's an indisputable fact that Jesus is not proven to have existed, the guy on Google did.

I'm not going to consider other people's beliefs when those same people are making a big deal of a website not acknowledging their holiday, and forcing their religion on to others. Why should I? It works both ways.

Okay, it seems that the topic has turned from Cesar Chavez featuring on Google to questioning the existence of Jesus H. Christ.

People can believe whatever they want to believe. You either believe in God, Jesus, the Flying Spagetti Monster or you don't, there is no need to be forcing your opinions onto other people. There is no right or wrong.

It seems that the people who scream about intolerance of their views are the most intolerant of others views. If you really want the utopia you claim it must include tolerance for every view, not just your own.

Easter is a national holiday. If it were Martin Luther King day do you think the black community would be upset? Do you think Google would put up a pic of Hillary Clinton to commemorate it? Google made a stupid choice. They made a decision to basically call 2 billion people stupid publicly.

what the hell are you talking about???

I didnt get the memo that you now speak for every Christian on the planet....Pope is that you??

Get a grip on reality. this thread comes across as another needy self absorbed attempt to get into the ATS lime light. No body cares that google pissed you offm in fact nobody cares about your religious beliefs. Why the hell should we, its none of our business...so maybe you should mind your own and try not to tell a company that owes you not a god dam thing how to run their business.

Or even better why dont you go create a jesus search engine and only finds things that proves your religion right??

Searches for "how old the earth is?" will only show websites that report 50 or 60 thousand years. hahaha....hey wait thats actually a great idea for the sheep..hmmm i call dibs.

ISN'T YOUR LACK OF TOLERANCE WHAT THIS ENTIRE WASTE OF A THREAD IS ABOUT??

Shoudnt you be speaking those words to yourself in a mirror hahah the irony how it must burn.

Lol im not even mad xD.

I use google to search things, not to practice and focus my religious beliefs.

I won't be leaving google because so far it is the engine I am most comfortable with.

*sigh* just another example of how stupid people can be with religion and beliefs these days.
