Don't take it personally. You aren't the only one. I realized long ago this wasn't a discussion but a diatribe.

Since youre concerned about google showing its support for religious holy days / events, I assume you are also in favor of them putting up special little banners for, oh I dont know... Muharram? And Safar? And Ramadan? I believe over 1.6 billion people celebrate those times as very special.

They have put up religious based banners in the past that have nothing to do with Christianity (in Germany anyway).

It should be noted that not everyone in the world gets the same doodles. I didn't have any special thing on Google yesterday. So they could do all the culturally specific religious banners that they want because it wouldn't be necessary to make everyone see them. It is somewhat curious to me that they opted to not do anything for Easter yesterday; which would have been the thing on virtually everyone's mind in the Western world.

A lot of people care about Easter. As i have said on several posts, it is just a small sample of an agenda to take God out of America. Your posts are meaningless to the big picture. Maybe trolling? Nobody has answered my question either? Would you care to try?

Community church's across America give much needed help to people in need. Utility bills, food, rent, gas, medical. Who will fill that void when church's are gone? Don't say the government. The government is in the business of creating more poor people. That is their voting block. The unintended consequences of making America Godless will be very painful. I gave only one example.

Explain to me how a private company not posting religious iconography amounts to churches being removed from the country??? Are you implying that the only safe environment for a Church is a theocracy? Because that is not what America is nor is it what the Framers sought to create.

Churches are Constitutionally protected.

OK. My question is why does an agnostic have such a vested interest in religion at all? I'm an agnostic and god doesn't exist for me.... yet. But you are an agnostic:

I am agnostic i suppose. I am sensitive to stupidity more than anything. They went out of their way to trash Easter. It is blatantly obvious. Why take a chance on pissing off 2 billion potential customers? They do have stockholders.

Who's trolling? I'm out. Just pointing this out for the reader to see that this is tripe.

The United States has no official religion, that would be unconstitutional.

Oh great, more manufactured outrage that I'm told I'm supposed to feel over something that is really insignificant. I'm sorry, but I could go on forever listing things that concern me more than a google logo. I'd even put it behind having to sweep egg shells off my porch every Easter, and that's at the bottom of a list that's topped by things like war, poverty, and human rights to name a few.

Living a life outraged over such insignificant non sense is unhealthy, but it seems these days no one is happy unless they could be a victim. Every year war on Easter, war on Christmas, blah blah blah all because the entire world isn't celebrating it as you'd like them to celebrate it. Live your life, if you need Google to give you bunny pictures in order to enjoy Easter, you are doing it wrong.

Google #s all over your privacy and you keep using it, but let it leave off a bunny logo and it's suicidal? Come On.

And then you use the "poltical correctness" card, when you are demanding they do something that won't offend people, which would be political correctness would it not? I guess you only have a problem with it when it's not saying what you want to hear.

This is just an assumption on my part, but this is an issue that is politicized heavily by conservative radio and fox news every single year. So i'd assume an agnostic being bothered by it so much is probably the result of political programming. It's the whole "The left hates god, loves mexican union satan" mix in a little christian victimization and you got a global tragedy.

Long time lurker and I pretty much just gave in and had to comment. Google can do what every they please. I do think it's a little funny though they didn't do anything for easter. It doesn't really matter to me since East is on May 5th.

Since the Pope celebrated Easter yesterday, i think i will take his word over some troll looking for a fight. You are certainly welcome to your opinion though. It does not mean i have to respect it. Happy Easter!

I don't think he is trolling. I think he is referring to the fact that Orthodox Christians will be celebrating Easter on May 5th.
