Since S2 anyway. He seems to be playing all sides with a true altruistic motive, given. However the lengths and shade he's gone through to get there, steals some of his wind.

As Zazz said, he only had one line in the finale. Either he's done his work and his arc is near complete or he has a very shifty motive.

Also, there is that whole Dany not being who we think her to be theory.

I would be surprised if the show went that route with no foreshadowing. It would be to much deus ex machina.

Perhaps. However we've seen plenty deus ex this past season. Seriously trashes the lore IMO. IRRC she's the only main character to not go through a twist in their arc. Everything has been plotted out fairly well for her...well, save a baby Targaryen.

Via Mel or Varys could provide that foreshadowing. IDK, at this point, logical conclusions may be moot.

Now I have a BIG theory on then secret players (who actually are controlling all the main characters)...but I am finishing making pasta for our dinner, and I need to explain where all the olives have gone.

It's possible but I think it's too late for a change of heritage. The baby thing even seems a bit much to me but I can tolerate it for the extra ick factor.

I just don't see it for the series, I think they're too committed at this point to keep he lineage intact and I actually think it would disgust me more than the incest thing.

We'll see. Holding out hope for one more big plot shift before the end(s). Trying to keep my limited knowledge of deeper book plots to a minimum as I have yet to read them in their entirety. The Dany arc, to me, seems to need something more to keep up with the rest of the characters.
