The only thing that really surprised me on last weeks episode was the scenes in which Prince Trystane dies. I figured that Ellaria was going to do something to Prince Doran but wasn't expecting the second death. That and Sansa being saved by Brienne, although not totally unexpected, was still a bit of a surprise. And Pod's fighting skills from a back of a horse were impressive, all things considered.

Hey J

you read the books right? ( I think we discussed it on the show that you had) Wasn't Pod killed by Lady Stoneheart? Or am I remembering something else?

That's kind of left as a cliffhanger in the books and its not a certainty that he's dead, but yes, Pod has a rather bad experience involving LSH.

Like vor said, it is kinda left as a cliffhanger in the books but I have read somewhere that GRRM says he is alive, and that is probably true as Lady Brienne is alive in a Dance with Dragons.

I have just picked them back up this week to start them over again. I'm an original reader, starting with A Game of Thrones back in the mid 90's. We are already at 5 years for Winds of Winter, about average for the last three books. Bastard. It it may be next year before the freakin' thing is published.

We did and now it's all coming to pass. I think this episode revealed more in 60 minutes than several seasons of the show combined.

Things are certainly moving quickly, aren't they? One major cliffhanger resolved this week, plus it looks like we're going to have two major questions answered next week. Most importantly, Bastard Bowl is virtually certain later in the season. Ramsay is screwed. I think everyone is looking forward to seeing him get what's coming to him.

With Jon up and the Wildlings at CB he is out numbered for that battle.

My least favorite part of the whole series. That whole group is dull.

They are, I suspect that with the fleet burnt in Murine, Theon tries to make amends by loaning J and D his fleet. Hence the story line.

Just a guess.
