The real dead give away is if Kit is back filming in July, he's been playing it real coy.

I think anyone that read the books knew that was coming but still it was a bit of a shock given how much the show has deviated from the source material.

That being said it was a pretty solid ending I thought in what I feel was the weakest season to date.

Yes, but he'd also be told to say that, by the show producers, if they were planning on a surprise too.

I haven't seen the finale yet. (will tonight), but my bet is that the Red Witch survives what surely will be Stannis' death, and heads back for Jon. If that happens, I think my theory (and that of others) is pretty sound.

In both the book and the show, there have been folks brought back, so who knows. After all, no doubt it will be an armor clad, resurrected Mountain Cersai flees to, assuming she does the infamous walk in the finale (which is a given, by the episode title).

In the book, Jon's "death" makes more sense, as most of the other rangers have never even seen or confirmed the whole white walker deal for themselves. In the show though, many have faced them already, so they know the risks, and have a better appreciation for Jon's plan, you'd think.

Like I said, he's playing it coy. He cant exactly tell everyone he's coming back. I can't even call my cousin who works for HBO in casting, this is the only series she isn't involved with.

No, she was resurrected by Thoros like he did to Beric. That is why the speculation is that Mel will bring Jon back.

He was one of the few likeable characters.

I think he will be back.

Too much foreshadowing in the show; Mel coming back to the wall, encounter with Night's King, Mel meeting with Beric and Thoros, Mel relating details of her 'prophecies'.


Plus the whole R+L=J thing was never addressed.
