At this point I'm half convinced that we'll get a Soprano's ending. Two or three contenders left in a tense stand-off moment...
Screen fades to black...
Lights come back up on a regular sound stage. In frame, George RR Martin. The camera zooms in on George and he says:
"When I began these books I did so out of a love of writing and a hatred for movies and television. I deliberately set out to write something that
could never be adapted to video.
But then HBO came at me with money. A lot of money. Stupid money. Insane money.
Of course I accepted it! I cashed that check and nodded a bit when HBO asked me if I thought I'd have the final books done by 2019.
Just a slight nod, but it was enough I guess.
Here's the thing. I didn't finish the books. I am never going to finish the books. What you've got now is all you'll ever have. My entire reason for
writing this series was removed. They FILMED it and proved me wrong.
I lost interest and now I'm just going to spend my waning years spending all of this money...
...And embracing my seething hatred for all of you soul destroying fans and your nit picking, over analyzing and
theory crafting... HA...
Morons....
But HBO paid me for an ending - another MASSIVE CHECK - so here it is."
Screen fades back to black and we find ourselves back in King's Landing...
Every character from the show lay dead at the base of the Iron Throne.
Above them stands Jim Parsons, dressed as Sheldon Cooper. In his hands, a bloodied sword.
Parsons turns, mounts the steps, slowly... And sits upon the Iron Throne...
Extreme close up to his lips... "Bazinga"....
End scene.
End series.
