When I finish the up to date books, I'll sling more information to the crackpot theories I am enjoying.

Oh! Don't you berate me with this confirmation bias, blah blah. My tinfoil is strong!

Out of curiosity, does anyone here think the show will not end with some super scooby-doo/M. Night Shyamalan twist?

I don't think the books will do that, however given the amount of time the show has and what information is potentially left, it just doesn't seem like there will be an organic way to end the show.

Probably will end with a twist.

Half way through season two now.

I just realized that Lady Stark died thinking Ned cheated on her.

It's because she is/was a )#()#. Ned didn't cheat and was honorbound to marry her. She should have been grateful.

just a question...
is anyone else thinking cercei hiring the golden company might not work out for her???

No doubt

There are really no more warden-houses in Westeros other than House Stark, and that is left to a woman (hey their rules not mine). There is no hope for Cersei.
She is bringing 20,000 kindle sticks to blow up in her face when they turn into a WW army.

Every one of Cercei's plans have gone to pot. This one will not be any different. The way they have built up the layers of gray around her, IMO, we will actually sort of mourn her death.

Have caught up now after binge watching it. If you look past the obvious nonsensical stuff like the white walkers happening to cart giant chains around or how the guy pretty much did the usain bolt across the friggin antarctic in the time it took for Jon Snow to swing his sword a few times or the fact that the ravens can apparently teleport to send messages immediately... it was a pretty good season.

The acting in the last episode was just amazing. The scene with Jon Snow and Theon, Tyrion negotiating with Cercei, Littlefinger finally getting it..just awesome!

It's gonna be interesting to see how it all gets wrapped up in one final season, am kinda expecting abject disappointment but it's been a fun ride so far!

Why is an old man whispering in your ear an unusual occurrence?

Send this raven to the 7 kingdoms!

*Clears throat and steps up to face the council*

GRRM foreshadows the shlt out of things.
Hodor shock was not to just hold the door.

The WW make is past Winterfell, and head south to Kings Landing.

All hope is lost.
Except Bran.

Bran again uses the power to influence what's been by warging into Mad Kind Aerys!!!
This is why he was inexplicably obsessed with wildfire and placed it under the entire city. He was not always a madman, he was not always obsessed with fire. Even Cersei blowing up the Sept did not use anywhere near all of it.

This is why Dany saw the Iron throne room destroyed by fire, smoking and destroyed in her vision at the house of the undying.
They blow Kings Landing sky foolking high.

*Zazz breathes out and collapses*

*takes a drink of wine, then pours the rest out onto Zazz's face*

Based on show version of Dany's vision, I would take argument only for the sake that the roof is blown off. As in possibly by dragonfire or some attack from above. Anything from below, such as wild fire, would leave a crater, no?

However, that doesn't take away from the possibility that the chance exists for Bran to go back into Aerys head. Also, we can't outrule the fact that it could have been Bloodraven as well.

After repeatedly cutting himself on the Iron Throne Aerys developed a phobia of blades, and forbade any sharp implements in his presence other than the swords of his Kingsguard, refusing even to trim his nails or hair. His fingernails grew to cracked yellow claws nine inches long. His beard was matted and unwashed and his silver-gold hair hung down to his waist in wild tangles. His arms and legs were always covered with scabs and half-healed cuts from the Iron Throne. He wore the elaborate dragon-emblazoned crown of Aegon the Unworthy.[5][6]

Syphilis or hepatitis confirmed!

Do you think it's possible that Cercei destroys KL without any interference from Dany or Jon?

No, I was just surprised since she said 'an old man' as in singular.
