Considering that Climategate has been debunked, the 'climategaters' cleared of any wrongdoing what does the opinion of the guy who leaked the emails matter?

Climate Science doesn't happen in the dark, never did. Mr. FOIA is cherry picking parts of emails to take them out of their original context and place them in context that suits the deniers brainwashed beliefs. AGW denial is funded by the fossil fuel industry, mainly Exxon and the Koch brother fund 'Conservative' think tanks, such as Americans for Prosperity, who in turn pay people, sometimes not even scientists to claim the science is wrong or hinky and those are the people you see pop up on FOX or for that matter any news interview on climate change as well as testifying before Congress, as experts.

Please provide links to the court documents of testimony under oath where the fossil fuel industry is proven to have funded AGW denial. There should also be physical evidence of that if it is true. Link that please. What court, where and when delivered a ruling on that evidence that fossil fuel industries were beyond a reasonable doubt funding a denial campaign.

Are you trying to say the leaked emails from that british university that were classified never happened? I would be shocked if you said yes. Listen I am center-left but if you think liberal think tanks are about truth more than conservative ones are then you are sadely mistaken.

Ball won't divulge names, but she said the stable of donors represents a wide range of opinion on the American right. Increasingly over the years, those conservative donors have been pushing funds towards organisations working to discredit climate science or block climate action.

Why would the emails be classified in the 1st place? They weren't. FOIA requests to see them were denied because they were private emails not research. The research was never classified either but again some FOIA requests were denied because the researchers weren't prepared to release their research yet. Completed research was never denied access to, those FOIA requests were honored.

If I send you a FOIA request to see your emails are you going to honor it or tell me get lost?

Edit: Also I used quotation on the word Conservative for a reason, I don't believe Conservatives on the whole practice lying to achieve their goals.

Something else I don't get is why the carbon tax credit scheme rather than simply going after the polluters themselves with heavy fines and jail time?

I can say the same thing with the gun debate. Instead of increasing the scrutiny on the background checks why do they need to create a 300 page proposal that bans 70% of the weapons?

It seems they are spending billions every year, in many countries so that is
billions multiplied....maybe the research "they" fund is sort of like a black mail.
Where, if they dont keep funding it the so called "scientists" threaten to go
else where.

I took notice when The Whitehouse declared that they were changing boats...
Global Warming was a thing of the past, and in with "Climate Change".

This, this seems like a worm wiggle to me, they got caught red handed with
climate gate, and they did not like it....and this is a big "science" project...
yet...so many scientists have come around and are now stepping away from AGW,
it makes it difficult to justify a billion dollar budget to congress. They
can not afford any more "climategates". Imagine if someone hacked the
geoengineers emails, now that would make my day.

And, thats just in The States....if you add upon this the desire to geoengineer the
planet, and "that" science is based upon the "science" of AGW, you have yourself
a doubled motive on their part.. Its really very sick, beyond corrupt its devious

It probably goes much higher than the koch brothers. I think the koch brothers have a large say in the tea party movement and libertarian party. I have no idea who controls the democrats and republicans.
