Nope, I have not found that to be true at all. Most, not all, but most, Middle Eastern Arabs and most North Africans. The less education the more they seem to lump both groups together with equal amounts of hatred. The more educated they are the more they differentiate between the two...but still have the hatred. There is nothing wrong with showcasing state-sponsored Terrorism - you are obviously very passionate about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and that is your right to research it and write about it as much as you wish. But I would say you have developed a very unhealthy obsession with stories about Israel (your thread/post history demonstrates this). It almost seems like you have an addiction with discussing stories that are critical of Israel.

Another thing: Israel is far from the only country with a corrupt government, deceptive intelligence agencies and social problems, so why is it on ATS that we hear so much about this country that is so small in both population and land mass?

It seems that you are addicted to blindly justifying anything Israel does no matter how vile it may be and you have the audacity to mention "logic and reason"

I am a student of Philosophy, logic and reason are very important to me (and many others on this board.) It is disheartening to see people post emotionally about a topic without considering them - and anti-Israel threads are often a prime example.

We defend a girl who was murdered in an illegal military invasion on a sovereign land and it's her fault? Hopefully your next post I come across won't be the same canned response.

Firstly, she was not murdered. She was ordered to move several times but chose to defy these orders. I commend her for her bravery, standing up for what she believed in and consider her death as tragic. Unfortunately, while her heart might have been in the right place, her head most certainly was not.

I don't condone a lot of the actions of the Israeli government or military but don't you dare include me in a crowd calling for genocide. I am against injustice and for truth, but not wiping out a Country and it's entire people because their government commits heinous acts and abuses.

How would you be any better by wishing such a vile thing on them?

There are plenty of Israelis who also disagree with some of the actions, military or otherwise, that their government takes. No different than a lot of Americans do with our government.

Rachel is a fantastic example of Courage and and should be remembered for trying to do what most of us are too yellow bellied to even think about doing.

There is nothing heroic about standing in front of a bulldozer just for your beliefs.

In a situation like this you take a 'risk', that is all. This time she lost.

In the end, she was selfish allowing herself to die, because if she really cared about the people she would have stayed safe and alive to help them for 10 more years. This death was ALL about her anger...and that's ultimately what killed her.
