Hi all...

May this man rest in peace.

It is quite ironic. Someone not only dies, but commits suicide at a gun-safety class..

I literally do not know how many more articles like this I can read. America what is happening to you..???

Brian J. Parry is believed to have shot himself in the head with a pistol Sunday during a class at West Coat Armory, a gun range and dealer with outlets in Bellevue and Issaquah.

In an email, a man describing himself as a witness to the shooting said the dead man – identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Parry – stood in front of more than a dozen people participating in the class and ended his life.

Several children saw the shooting, which occurred at West Coast Armory’s indoor range at 13216 S.E. 32nd St. in Bellevue.

www.komonews.com...

Infront of children aswell.. Seriously America you need to revise you gun laws and mental health issues, and do so ASAP before you wipe yourselves out..

The statistics for death by guns must be sky rocketing. Every day someone has either shot someone, or a few people or kids, or killed themselves..

What dire and pure tragic times we do so live in...

peace

Atleast do it somewhere alone, or don't do it at all.

Well imagine at the next Home Fair while demonstrating the Latest Ginzu Shinzu knife the guy slits his own throat in front of a large crowd.

Guns can't make people stupid, it just makes doing stupid things a little easier

Exactly.. You would think that to commit suicide you would want to be alone. And doing it infront of kids.. This poor fellow must have been deeply disturbed. And if he was, how in the hell did the people in the class and outlet not notice.

I don't think the gun is the issue here. Someone that doesn't reach out to others in any way and just kills her/himself legitimately wants to die, and will do it in any manner they have available.

No matter how suicidal someone is, the least he/she can do is be courteous enough not to traumatize children. Why screw up the mental health of children simply because you have your own issues?

No thanks. Our gun laws are restrictive enough already. Banning guns will obviously not prevent suicide. We still have tall buildings.

Had to be (speculating) a liberal gun grabber to do it at a gun safety class. Anyone cherishing their right to bear arms would not do this, knowing the fallout it may cause.

I just read an article on Yahoo News about a women who jumped out of her apartment window to commit suicide today. She was holding her 10 month old son when she jumped. Apparently it is time to ban windows too

Since the first gun was produced, I doubt there has been one single day someone has not died by someone pulling it's trigger.

Can't fix crazy they say, or can you, not quite sure...
The only victims are his children and family.
What a selfish human.

Rest in peace? You see sympathy with someone I see as an animal in his last willful act. He traumatized a bunch of kids and others in the ultimate act of selfishness. At least THIS one didn't shoot them. That's something....as many others have done in recent years.

Guns guns guns though.... It's not guns. It's Mental Health. If guns could be made less accessible to someone determined to get a means to kill themselves, they'd find another way. I'd hate to imagine what other confident means of suicide could be done in front of an 'audience' like this....and what I come up with would have actually been much worse for the kids to see.

What a ..well... I'll leave it there for T&C..but peace is the last thing he deserves for the lack of peace he left the kids and adults alike with. I hope it's exceptionally hot where he's at now. Burning hot. For eternity.

(May it be a million times over)

every day people die or commit crimes,in every country.and they kill people as well.so ,why dont you go preach to the un and military who are armed to the teeth. by what i can tell the military industry kill way more on daily bases.even the countrys that have gun laws are involved in them crimes.please start with them then work your self down. perhaps what we should be banning is ,amphetamines and drugs of them sort that seem to be related as well to most of these cases.a label and a prescription seems to be more the cause since many with out that have guns and dont commit these crimes.

I highly doubt he had politics on his mind while taking his own life.

He had a one track mind.... suicide.... yet you think he was trying to become a martyr for the liberals.

Really?

I think it is bizarre. Usually if somebody is suicidal, they tell no one of their angst and depression. And the friends and family only find out when the suicide has been committed..

But obviously everybody deals with things in different ways. And clearly this man was disturbed. I just cannot get my head around why nobody noticed..

As for the guns.. Well I am totally anti-gun I hate the damn things.. But that is just mine own opinion.

I don't think the gun is the issue here.

The gun is never really the issue. A gun is a tool. A gun cannot fire itself. It is the person holding the gun that matters...

I am not preaching to anyone. Like I said a gun is a tool. It cannot fire itself. It depends on the person with their finger on the trigger..

And what exactly do you have in mind for trying to stop things like this happening again.

Like grandma said 50 years ago. " Bad things have always happened, people just think it's getting worse because we have TV now" People douse themselves with gasoline and commit suicide that way and 10,000 other ways. The guy had mental problems. Maybe just lost his girlfriend. Who knows. You can't legislate sanity.
