Rand Paul Filibustering Over Drones: I Will Not Let Obama ‘Shred the Constitution’

Rand Paul has my utmost respect. If I were up there my voice would be screetchy and I would be dizzy with hunger after a couple hours. Geez...I can barely find enough to talk about for 10 minutes and he is going on 7 hours! And he is still making sense!

Seriously. If anybody has stood for hours, you'd know half of what its like to be in Rand's shoes right now. Having to keep an eloquent argument while standing there and being famished is not easy I'm sure!

I hope his aides are getting him a protein shake.

I even like watching him eat a chocolate bar.

He obviously didn't expect Paul to carry through with his threat to filibuster. I'm glad that there are still some politicians in our government who care about the Constitution instead of using it as TP.

That took Rand a considerable amount of stamina. This guy is who I want to represent me. He is not only courageous, he is steadfast. Today, he showed us a true American hero. Bravo Rand Paul Excelsior!

I will admit to being one of those who was really ticked-off at Rand Paul during the election. I wanted his father to have a chance so bad and I felt slapped in the face when Rand supported Romney. But, I give him nothing but credit for this fillibuster, and maybe I'll consider giving him another chance. Kudos Rand. Thank you for standing up for us.

You know, if Obama/Brennan/Holder wanted to shut Rand up...

All they have to do is confirm that the president will uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, and Rand will have to end his filibuster on the spot.

Does anybody wonder why this has not happened yet?

Exactly! I'm sure he isn't making many friends right now among his peers. Could you imagine having to sit for 7+ hours listening to this guy? I can bet that after this is over, most of these guys who crafted the illegal legislation won't be coming up to him and trying to high five him or pat him on the back.
