Oh, Harry Reid -
Moves to end the filibuster, what ground does he have?

He does not, he had to defer to Rand Paul,
and Rand wants an anwser...from the Attorney General. So...

It goes on then.

All Rand wants is a clarification that the President and attorney general WILL NOT fire drones on Americans on US soil without due process.

Why can't Obama or eric holder do this? One simple clarification.

Oh right...same reason why Obama and his legal team WILL NOT let go of the power to detain Americans without due process.

Same reason why Obama ordered to SEAL the documents that would've criminalized Eric Holders' actions in the Fast & Furious gun walking scandal.

OPEN YOUR EYES OBAMA SUPPORTERS......

We do have video of Obama saying he'll use drones on us. "You think I'm joking?" Of course it was given under the guise of telling a joke but it allowed him to be honest.

He could just come out and say of course I won't kill Americans that are not in combat and then just go and redefine the meaning of the word combat. I mean - little kids are 'combative' at times. He could even wink when he said it.

It is becoming apparent that the government is creating an enemy, those who we would call patriots. By doing so, they are trying to seize control, to eliminate any limits to their power.

This is Amerika where due process no longer exists:

Be it someone having too much money, someone having too many guns, to being able to throw people in jail and indefinately detain them.

In Amerika you are guilty until proven innocent I like what Paul is trying to do here it its too late that constitution is just a GD piece of paper.

Ok is this a sign of when this filibuster will end? From CNN, I found this. Now do they mean today? I will be watching this, that is for certain.

Sen. Rand Paul will appear Wednesday on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" starting at 7 p.m. ET.

"Dont you get to plead your case before you have a hellfire missle dropped on your head?"

-paraphrased Rand Paul

But they have to talk about this stuff because certain people dont want to give straight answers.

Edit to add- I may have misjudged Rand in the past- He is a better person than I have ever given him credit for.
He is has logical judgement- just like his father.
During his fathers campaign-he pissed me off. It seemed like he didnt care enough about getting his father into office.

I think its refreshing to see him show me otherwise.

Became_A_Republican_Today

I voted twice for Obama because i thought he would protect civil liberties and do away with the Bush tactics such as warrantless wiretapping, denial of habeas corpus and due process of the law. Obama has failed miserable to do anything on this front differently from Bush. Further, Obama has expanded these practices that I so hated Bush for. Even worse, nobody on the left seems to care.

For the first time in my life, I think I just became a Republican.

Even some of the liberal community pundits on HuffPo agree:

I fully support this filibuster. I did not like it when Obama tried to put Brennan in this position the first time he tried. He insists on ramming the former 'torture proponent' down our throats. He's right about the 'wars' in Iraq and Afghanistan, too. A huge waste of blood and treasure, for what? So we can continue to use 9/11 as an excuse to police the entire world ?
END THE 'WARS'! OBL IS GONE! AQ Read More...
REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT! RESTORE OUR RIGHTS!

ENOUGH WITH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH ATTACKS ON LIBERTY! ENOUGH OF CONGRESSIONAL CONTROL BY THE 'MIC'!
YOU WANNA CUT WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT SPENDING?!
START RIGHT THERE!!
ENOUGH!

You know, I really cannot disagree with Rand on this one. Why is the CIA using drones and killing people? Why is the government trying to eliminate civil rights in the U.S.? We really need to have a serious discussion about civil rights - and the Obama administration has been no different than the Bush administration in ignoring the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments.

We are not at war. that old argument is a joke and people should stop going along with it. While there are threats - there have always been threats. However, there has been no significant terrorist activity by foreign powers in the U.S or anywhere else for a very long time. The terrorist activity in the U.S. is a police problem, not a CIA problem, and I don't remember any constitutional amendments that changed that dynamic.

People need to recognize that their civil rights are being severely abridged based primarily on propaganda. The very things the Obama Administration, and the government in general are now doing, are exactly what the Revolutionary war was fought over, and what the Bill of Rights was created to stop.

Yeah I saw that also earlier. Made me wonder if it was too good to be true. Anyways, I think this will be big news on CNN. So I think we should now get our answers. Or will it just get pushed aside by the next big news. That is what seems to happen anymore. Rand paul, stand your ground and don't let it stop! Woot woot!!!

When Reid was on- He tried gaining a good amount of floor time- but he said that he would finish speaking tommorow because Rand wouldnt yield.(and the fact that Reid wasnt prepared).
.
Rand Paul said he would yield his time if someone reponds directly to his question-on paper or by word. Until then I think they will talk until they gets answers- which could go on until tommorow.

I am not too 100 percent on that though. So dont quote me on this one.

Edit- reid wasnt prepared.

It's sad that after that intelligent post about Obama repeating Bush's tactics he decided to become a Republican. Obviously he is still trapped in the false paradigm that there are only two parties in this country. Should have become a Libertarian, we need more supporters so that we can't be marginalized by the media come election time.

This filibuster is exciting! I can't believe that someone is standing up for what is right and taking it to Obama and his cronies. Hopefully this filibuster results in awakening more and more people to all the nonsense and we can get some real change in this country not the pocket change that Obama delivered after being elected in 2008.

Watch- Pol;iticians are going to start showing up by the truckload to give their 10 cents.

All it takes is for one man to stand up, and we should all be thanking Rand Paul for having the courage to do so.

Senators are leaving meetings to rush there to get a say in too. About time someone had the damn guts to tell it like it is.

Ron must be proud of his son Rand right now.....
