Ok is this a sign of when this filibuster will end? From CNN, I found this. Now do they mean today? I will be watching this, that is for certain.

I voted twice for Obama because i thought he would protect civil liberties and do away with the Bush tactics such as warrantless wiretapping, denial of habeas corpus and due process of the law. Obama has failed miserable to do anything on this front differently from Bush. Further, Obama has expanded these practices that I so hated Bush for. Even worse, nobody on the left seems to care.
For the first time in my life, I think I just became a Republican.

I fully support this filibuster. I did not like it when Obama tried to put Brennan in this position the first time he tried. He insists on ramming the former 'torture proponent' down our throats. He's right about the 'wars' in Iraq and Afghanistan, too. A huge waste of blood and treasure, for what? So we can continue to use 9/11 as an excuse to police the entire world ?
END THE 'WARS'! OBL IS GONE! AQ Read More...
REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT! RESTORE OUR RIGHTS!
ENOUGH WITH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH ATTACKS ON LIBERTY! ENOUGH OF CONGRESSIONAL CONTROL BY THE 'MIC'!
YOU WANNA CUT WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT SPENDING?!
START RIGHT THERE!!
ENOUGH!
You know, I really cannot disagree with Rand on this one. Why is the CIA using drones and killing people? Why is the government trying to eliminate civil rights in the U.S.? We really need to have a serious discussion about civil rights - and the Obama administration has been no different than the Bush administration in ignoring the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments.
We are not at war. that old argument is a joke and people should stop going along with it. While there are threats - there have always been threats. However, there has been no significant terrorist activity by foreign powers in the U.S or anywhere else for a very long time. The terrorist activity in the U.S. is a police problem, not a CIA problem, and I don't remember any constitutional amendments that changed that dynamic.
People need to recognize that their civil rights are being severely abridged based primarily on propaganda. The very things the Obama Administration, and the government in general are now doing, are exactly what the Revolutionary war was fought over, and what the Bill of Rights was created to stop.
