Rand Paul Filibustering Over Drones: I Will Not Let Obama ‘Shred the Constitution’

I was only able to catch the last few hours of the filibuster and thought it was amazing, but thought it totally strange that the NDAA was not even mentioned a single time by any of the senators speaking or even anyone on this thread. They all kept asking if Obama thought he had the authority to kill an American citizen on American soil without posing an imminent threat forfeiting due process of the 5th Amendment, but the passing of the NDAA effectively gave him that power. How many of those senators voted in favor of the NDAA? Just thought it strange that with all of the talk of drones, that they totally skirted the issue of the NDAA...

Rand Paul did address this very subject, the NDAA.
Not sure what hour it was, my guess it was during hour 5, 6 or 7.
It was intense, tomorrow I will try and find records of all and post here.

The drones will not be ordered to "attack", they will simply have a malfunction and either emit friendly fire or crash into and detonate a target, oops, I mean a residence.

Everyone kept asking "why isn't he (Obama) giving an answer." But by not answering, he really was answering. He answered that he is not accountable to the legislative branch or the American people (not to mention the Constitution), and that he can circumvent all with the wave of his mighty pen by cranking out another decree from the king (aka the executive order).

He hasn’t left the floor the whole time. So here’s the question: what about going to the bathroom.

Here’s the answer I got from two Paul staffers: he’s simply held it in. He didn’t get fitted with a catheter. He didn’t put on an adult diaper. He has simply held it in.

before i went to work i thought that this was all for show , but after seeing that he lasted as long as he did , i was getting a little hope that not all was lost . my employer provided free dial up takes me an hour to watch a 10 min vid , so between ats and the corporate Numbing Entertainment Without Substance , i will learn a lot of what was said . the majority from ats , and what they want me to know from the less than truthful source.

Pretty pathetic that is the only thing they came away from this with.

After what is a historic event, the pathetic MSM will do anything to evade the issues and talk about useless babble.

I think the MSM is rapidly becomming inconsequential due to things of this exact nature. People are seeing through it and the Teflon President.

Rand Paul is a damn good politician, and an outstanding American, Along with his father Ron.

I just sent Rand a Email showing my appreciation. I encourage you all to do the same as well. Give him the power in knowing there are people in this country who still stand by our original American ideals. And give him the satisfaction in knowing people throughout this country stand by him.

I wish there were many more people in this country just like him. And it seems people are waking up to the grim reality. His filibuster has created a shock wave in the media.

The government is just trying to assert their authority over what is quickly becoming a police state. It does not happen overnight however, so they will propose and try and use scare tactics, and word every law just right, to give them the total power that they seek, and will eventually have.

As a possibly related side note, I live in a very large US city and I've noticed a plane circling my city for multiple nights in a row. It is lighted very strangely, and several people have said that my description matches the description of an unmanned drone.

So ensuring that these drones can't attack non-combatant US citizens without accusation or trial seems a very pertinent subject to me.

I mean the fact that the government is where it is now ideologically says it all. They no longer care about us and actually hate us.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of talk, I'm tired of the countless FB posts of wise cracks of what we must do, what is going on, what shall be done. I'm ready for action, I'm ready for all of us to take action for what is right. I call for all who know what is right, who know with good conscious what is desired of our maker. That was just impressive. I watched most of it. I loved Ted Cruz reading the #StandwithRand tweets into the record, too. My strongest emotion throughout was heartfelt thanks that Rand was asking this question and demanding an answer. Whether the government can fire a drone on an American citizen, on American soil, who poses no imminent danger is a valid question that deserves a straight answer with no wiggle room allowed.

I enjoyed watching it and was thrilled to see everyone who was there to stand with Rand in an effort to get an answer. Well, except Dick Durbin, who is very unfortunately from my state. I'm never thrilled to see him. Then again, he wasn't there to stand in solidarity he seemed to just be there to ask stupid questions that had little to no relevance to the issue under discussion.

Sorry but enough of this, "everything is controlled" narrative.

I'm so tired of the defeatist mentality, how can you look at Rand Paul's 13 hour filibuster WITHOUT restroom break, talking tirelessly hour upon hour upon hour about the fundamental rights of American individual liberty and then say it might be a distraction? Like its some sort of NWO agenda?

If you really have this mentality, wouldn't the most efficient and logical thing to do is just to lay down and say your prayers before you leave this world? If everything is controlled and you no longer have any hope for yourself and those around you, what else is left?

DON'T lay down, DON'T give in, FIGHT for what is right.

If Romney were president Democrats would've piled on (like Republicans did today against Obama).

The difference?

Rand Paul would still have been there, filibustering for the PRINCIPLE, not for the party politics.

Ron Paul/Rand Paul/liberty supporters would've still been there backing him all the way.

Who understands this concept?

hey, I am not a defeatist.

I am a realist. I know that for anything to change it has to get much worse. Actually it all has to go bust before we can REBUILD it again, properly, and a little wiser.

The rot in DC is so deep, you really need to amputate or let die.

Also, like I said before. I think it is great that he is doing his job, but it is telling that there is not a line forming behind him to do the same. It is telling that out of the MANY people in government that it is always less than a handful that want to act correctly.

In the end, the government is not omnipotent, but it is dangerous and powerful. Also it is the gravy train to many hundreds of thousands of traitors.

Two Humans take an airline flight to The United States of America. One of the two is 8 months pregnant.

The objective and target of this individual is no less than the most highly populated City, Cities,
or Sub-City where infiltration will go unnoticed. Once infiltration(assimilation) is complete,
this individual will begin weapon construction. This could involve other "members" of their team
or on a solo basis. The other members of the "team" may not know each other personally,
but are given shall I say "directions" to assemble the "Donkey Cart".

In this instance, this is a solo prioritized activity. This "Hypothetical Individual" has access to
previously planted weaponized material. All the parts are there. It is only a matter of assembly.
No contact with other team members is required. This material is of a biological weaponized strain.
There are several drop sites, and the immediate targets are hospitals,shopping malls, and school
buildings. Secondary sites have been located, and this individual is "Memorized".(Problem#6)

Now then, lets get down to "Brass Tacks". Say I was to divulge to you that this particular individual
was planning to enter The United States via Eastern Canada. In fact, this particular individual was in
Moncton , New Brunswick but then took a private charter flight to Montreal. For a short while
there was no trace. Six days later this individual was confirmed to be in Edmondston.
Two days later this individual was positively identified in Fredericton.

Subsequently any activities or transactions that occurred in Montreal,
or in the passage time to the latest confirmed Identification in Fredericton, are unknown at this point

The Target individual is now known to be traveling south by Bus on Highway 6 to Lincoln, Maine. U.S.A.
Coordination with Canadian Officials are in effect. Cordons, Checkpoints, and Blockades have been

And There you have it.

I'm very sad that there were not those willing to take up his position once he left. With enough support, this could have been held indefinitely until given a response. It's also sad that he only made it 13 hours in with the record (i believe) being 24 hours. I was excited to see him start reading from the phone book just to keep this going like was done in the 50s.

With that said, I'll never trust Rand Paul. The GMO thing along with siding with Romney? Not his father and he does not have the libertarian vote. He can run in 2016, but I won't be voting for the sell out.
