My exact words were "what you might think it is".

So it stands and what I think you might think it is probably in line with the popular christian idea of what those things are.

Why not say what it is "I might think" then?

Did your taunt backfire on you?

The reason I'm posting this trip down insanity lane is because I'm noticing an ALARMING amount of posts that people are posting about "so and so is demon possessed", etc... - and I'm here to set the record straight.

I notice that most of these threads focus on sexy black girl singers. There's often a psycho-sexual aspect to these fixations, as was seen in the Satanic-ritual-abuse panic of the 1980s.

While we shouldn't discount the possibility that the upsurge of such threads on ATS is the work of a PR flack hired by the record industry—they all seem to emanate from a single poster—it's also worth noting that this kind of tripe plays best in a certain demographic: poor, white, right-wing fundamentalist Christians. Essentially, it's projection—these people are accusing others of what they secretly (though perhaps unconsciously) yearn to do themselves.

It works bolth ways. Your on all these forums as well I could label you as a disinfo agent but it would get us no where would it. The evidence speaks for it self you have just not taken the time to research it YOUR SELF instead of letting others present the evidence. Dont be lazy.

I did say it.

Just like I said rebellious kids would seek something that goes against the religion of their parents.

I don't understand why that is not clear to you.

This rebellion was created by them threw their media. 1800's children did not rebel against the religion they wear brought up on.

Focuses on black women? .. . . . . . Ummmmm WTF are you on mate?

Lady Gaga, Keisha, Madonna, Miley Cirus vs. Rihanna, Beyonce . . . .Right so maybe you need to learn how to count first. The best part is that most of the elites accused of being satanists/luciferians are actually rich white men aka TPTB.

At this point you have lost all credibility and are going to have to justify your claims with links to document and actually support your theories.

Your little psycho analysis is pretty funny though I laughed (not going to lie).

So as a counter point to your psycho analysis I can read into your constant repetitions of the same claim over and over that you are actually a primitive form of artificial intelligence released by the North Koreans in conjunction with ascended alien overlords such as steve jobs, xenu, and l ron hubbard to undermine the purchases of their widgets.

I agree but the original question was "how does it generate sales".

I feel like a quarter of the population would have no problem burning "witches" and "demonic possessed" people at the stake if we let them.

Right . . . so basically you have no idea what I think.

When you explain to me the meaning/s of symbols such as the double cross, hexagram, pentagram, etc from their origins through their adaptations and current uses I will say you may have a clue.

When you display any understanding of 'sacred geometry' and how it has been used for thousands of years I might say you have a clue.

When translate the ancient myths to the practical knowledge they had hidden within them I could possibly agree that you have a clue.

If you ever communicate the historical understanding of what the 'satan' was to the ancients you might be getting close to what I think.

But until then you should probably avoid assuming you know.

PS

You explained nothing after I called you out and merely back tracked saying you had already explained it earlier when it is clear you have done no such thing. That is unless you count worshiping satan as rebelling against a religion you felt was forced on you.

Thats crazy...
We live in America any one is free to practice the religions they want. Even these people but what they have done to the music industry is criminal.
We educate the masses on the topic so people know what they are getting into.
Not to go on witch hunts, a large portion of my family is pagan.

Seems I was wrong. I have come across many of the things you listed. That still does not make them true.

Even if that is true, the question was specifically about sales.

Make no mistake...Satanism is alive and well and going strong in 2013.
I just had a 2 day ordeal with a friend of mine who's wife's father is a
very prominent businessman and owns one of the most reputable online
Schools here in the southwest...he is also a key figure in the Mormon church
And is a satanist who is involved in some very disturbing things. Trying to figure out
How stop this monster is just about impossible as law enforcement and high officials
Are involved as well. Not a good situation at all.

I'm old enough to have lived through the 50's...yep the 50's. Back then we had Rock n' Roll...the spawn of Satan.

Did you ever get to watch the movie Robert Frank made of the Rolling Stones' 1972 tour of the USA? I can't even mention its title here because I would be contravening the site rules with respect to profanity, but you can find it on YouTube. I watched it last night and I have to say it makes rock 'n' roll look pretty Satanic. Onscreen orgies at 30,000 feet (including what looks a lot like a rape), junkies shooting up for the camera, a hooker filmed getting her first hit of coc aine, acid-fried girls prostituting themselves for concert tickets and, well... TVs being hurled out of hotel windows.

And then, of course, there's the Maysle's Brothers' famous 1969 Stones tour film, Gimme Shelter, which featured the horrors of Altamont (such as what happens when Two Ton Tessie has a bad acid trip in a large crowd of people). It isn't so explicit as Frank's movie but is a hell of a lot scarier. And the sound is a whole lot better.

Having gone and read the whole of that thread I think the OP is a failed musician and is just jealous of others success and so makes up BS about them.
ATS is getting more religious by the day, beware one day their will be no decent threads.

You mean you're not a poor, white, right-wind fundamentalist Christian? Gosh, that just ruins my whole theory, doesn't it?

The United States is considerably more religious than most Western countries, and the conservative branch of Christianity really started to entrench itself in American culture by the 1980s. Satanic Panic allegations most often came from (and still come from today) conservative and fundamental Protestant Christians. From Intrepid's Link

No artist is demon possessed. It's "an act".
It's what's called an "Alter-Ego" - a personna that you create that is sort of like "acting". Almost every artist does this to some degree. Otherwise we'd see OfficeMax managers instead of freaks on stage - and we DO want to be entertained now don't we? And indeed - an alter-ego is something you give yourself into, play the character full tilt - and really go for it. Saying Beyonce is possessed is like saying Paul Reubens is possessed by Pee Wee Herman.

Possession and being demonically influenced are 2 different kinds of boats. It's about a discernment of spirits and i'm not talking about alcohol. Music back then was labled satanic if it glorifed wicked acts like drugs, promiscuous fornication or premarital sex, dressing sexually provocative in order to gain attention and be worshipped by men or cause them to lust, and rebellion against Christ and his ways, and is still viewed by us in the same light today. You see it as insanity, we see it as a battle of good versus evil for the souls of mankind and a christian by nature is conservative, not liberal as we know we need our God's laws (who we call Jesus) to maintain order so this world doesn't slide into chaos and anarchy.

Possession is actually being under total domination of a demon, when your actions are not your own because you are not in control of your own body.

Demonic influence is when a person is under the process of being possessed, but the evil entity has not gained total control over it's intended victim.

Demons can and have been known to kill unsaved people and cases have been recorded where such instances did happen. People have been picked up and held by them in mid air and strangled, or thrown across the room like a rag doll, had necks snapped or backs broken. When a person levitates they are being held by a demon which is a spirit of a dead nephilim, the human and fallen angel hybrids whose bodies God destroyed in the Flood.

I say to you, if you've never experienced a person who was demonically possessed, you don't want to. That'll be one experience you will wish you never had and it'll put the fear of God in you. That'll the day you hit your knees and pray for Jesus to save you.
