Wake up! 290 bills passed by the House. The Senate won't even discuss 99% of them.

25 House-Passed Jobs Bills Stuck in the Democratic-Run Senate

The House passed three more common-sense jobs bills last week, bringing the current number of jobs bills awaiting a vote in the Democratic-controlled Senate to 25. Each of these bills is focused on removing government barriers – excessive regulations, the threat of tax hikes, and ‘stimulus’ spending policies – that are hurting job growth, and many have bipartisan support. Speaker Boehner has called on President Obama to “urge Senate Democrats to immediately vote” on the 25 jobs bills before them. This week the House is scheduled to consider two more, including the REINS Act.

Senate sitting on 290 bills already passed by House; tension mounts

Exasperated House Democratic leaders have compiled a list showing that they have passed 290 bills that have stalled in the Senate.

The list is the latest sign that Democrats in the lower chamber are frustrated with their Senate counterparts.

Really Heff you are just now noticing that Obama does not know how to govern? The election has been over for a few months and the man is still out there like he's running for office. After his wasted first two years you should have known better. He wasted his political leverage with the affordable health care act. Which as we have been seeing is anything but affordable. He out the horse before the cart and ignored the immediate problems in favor of running through his agenda. The man's ego is the problem, he is much more concerned with being seen as part of the "in" crowd. Hitting the talk shows, flying hither and yonder to basically complain about the results of his actions. Not liking the sequester? Well you made the crisis now be a leader, but it is so much easier for him to blame the other side than to actually govern. You can't please all the people all the time so pick which of your special interests you will tick off. These little segments of the population do not represent all of the people you are the president of.

Shame on the President? It's not his fault. Shame on the cryptocracy who binds the President's hands.

No. You are an innocent, but well-meaning pawn in their game. I mean billionaires like the Koch brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Big Tobacco, Big Oil.

Tea Party was Created by Big Tobacco and Billionaires

Far from a genuine grassroots uprising, this astroturf effort was curated by wealthy industrialists years in advance. Many of the anti-science operatives who defended cigarettes are currently deploying their tobacco-inspired playbook internationally to evade accountability for the fossil fuel industry's role in driving climate disruption.

I hate to quote myself but in this thread a while back before the election in a thread about his mental state. www.abovetopsecret.com...

I believe your post here is direct evidence if the last part of my post coming to fruition. I admire your candor but simply must say “SHAME” is not an emotion a person like Barrack Obama can manifest. He might be able to emulate it or mimic it but I doubt he can “feel” it.

All the signs were there yet I think sycophantism, a blind cult of personality, blatant racism and a lot of white guilt led people to ignore them.

2. Obama also displays a number of traits associated with antisocial personality/borderline personality disorder.

Antisocial Personality Disorder

•Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
•Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
•Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
•Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
•Reckless disregard for safety of self or others
•Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations
•Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

Sure he doesn’t have them all but a lot of them...drug use, lies like a champ and believes his own lies, lack of remorse when he uses someone then throws them under the bus (Wright and others).

These issues are worthy of exploration because, if they are correct, the decision-making capacity of the President predictably will become unstable under any threat of significant policy failure and under any significant conflict with other world leaders. He shuts down when the going gets tough and his cult starts to see through his facade.

the entire system is failing

the executive branch of the federal gov't is as well, but the potus always gets too much credit for good, and too much blame for bad

boner, reid and the states govenors and mayors are also failing us

the only people making out are corporate executives who own the politicians and get legislation they want to rape the rest of us

regarless of party affiliation

blaming the potus is willfully ignoring the rotten system

I was desperately seeking a Franklin Delano Obama. It is appearing that I got a George W. Obama instead.

Sorry Obama is in a league of his own that eclipses GW.

You have a chance to leave a great legacy Sir.

True is going to leave a "great legacy" the only president In us history to have spent 12 trillion dollars in 8 years.

Heff, we made the mistake of putting our trust, our faith in elected officials instead of ourselves, our neighbors, our friends.

We were led to believe that government actually knew more, knew better. But all government is, is a collection of the same messed up miserable people that we deal with every day.

Namaste.

beez

You forgot to add that just about anyone who reaches the heights that these politicians do, is done with LOTS of money...BIG MONEY...that the average person... "ourselves, our neighbors, our friends" don't have. Sort of limits the pickins' I presume.

Obama thinks he can change that. I wish him luck.

You really think the Tea Party 'holds the reins'???? I'm sure that if they did, the landscape of this country would be VERY different. And you really think Obama is trying to change greed and love of money and the power base in this country??
Comeon .. he's just as power bloated and up to his eyeballs in lies and greed as nearly every other politician.

He's lied and lied and lied ... he's promised 'no lobbiests will find a job in my whitehouse', but then loaded up the whitehouse with them ... he's promised 'transparency' but given us the exact opposite .. he came with self messianic language about peace and how the environment would magically heal with him in office, and yet the exact opposite has happened .. he talked how he'd cut the deficit in half, and yet he's going to triple it before he's done. And lets not forget the major coup he pulled for the insurance companies ... and the bail outs of failing green-companies that his buddies heavily invested in ... and those companies went under anyways ... etc etc

yeah .. he hates big money .. him and his wife who wears 700$ French sneakers to staged photo-ops at homeless shelters. He's a real gem ... a peach of a guy ....

Obama never had the potential to have a "great legacy" ... By design.

Empires fall, they always do, may as well blame it all on the "black guy" .... Right?

This was always Obama's destiny, and ultimately his legacy. How easily you all forget the real powers that be, and how all of this political theater is just that, theater. The elite are squeezing the last bit of life out of the economy, and preparing for the worst, they are investing less in the USA and more in foreign economies. Whether you blame the agendas of the left or the right, it was ultimately the agendas of greed, corruption, special interests, lobbyists and of course the elite.

You can spend your time blaming Obama, or the congress or both, and it doesn't really matter, the USA doesn't have a government spending problem, nor does it have a tax rate problem... It has a collapsing economy, and every effort to stop complete collapse so far has only BOUGHT time....

Good luck.

I suggest sending this message in mass. Send a copy to every representative in government. Send it to every news agency, print, tv, net. Spread this well written call for reason across the nation; make sure he sees it and questions himself and his actions ... and possibly some of the other public servants might take time to think about how they serve the public and the good of the nation as well.

That is my opinion on the matter.

S+F for you sir. I have voted both parties and even independent. But I am to the point now where I see a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is attached to a white brick wall. Remember the old saying............same people just different faces. Oh and I have 16.5 trillion reasons why I don't really care for any of them.

Why? Obama had an Economic panel for years and met with them once? He never considered anything they said. He finally dismantled it. He is doing exactly what he planned to do. He does not care about America or Americans. He has an agenda and it is not one that any American will care for. I assure you, he has heard every point Heff has made 1000 times. People are apparently not connecting the dots.

Destroy? or defeat?

If defeat, the USA was defeated on both already, long ago.

The USA hasn't been destroyed, but that could change soon.

I voted for Obama in 2008, it only took afte the inauguration then for me that he was not better than any other political whore in Washington this days

Sadly I keep my "hopes for change", but to no avail, by last recent elections I didn't voted for him as it was obvious it was nothing but lies, now I am just to seat and watch how by the end of this year things are going to get to the point of no return.

But that is OK, life goes on, another piece of crab will be elected and things will just keep getting worst, until the people will finally wake up and say no more, I have the feeling this is going to happen in my life time, history will be written.

Good luck for everybody and make sure you keep your weapons safe and away from government hands.

Long time lurker first time poster.

After reading this entire thread, it amazes me that there are still some that are buying what Obama is selling.

Here's my Obama election story. In 2008 neither candidate sounded like a viable presidential candidate to me, so for the first time in my adult life I chose not to vote, feeling neither deserved my vote. I just felt like I didn't really know enough about Obama to vote for him, and having Palin as VP scared me a little. The single thing that did stand out from that election though to me was Obama promising to bring more transparency to government. I thought that was exactly what we needed after Bush.

So the ONE thing that drew me to Obama at all and gave me a little bit of hope, became TERRIBLY obvious he had no real intention of following through on mid way through his first term. In fact he's actually taken it the opposite direction. I will NEVER forgive him for that lie, and will never trust him on anything he says after lying directly to my face. So I agree wholeheartedly with your Shame on you Mr. President. Thread Title.
